Daily Dawg Thread 18 February 2020: UGA offered Anthony James

Over the weekend, on Sunday, the University of Georgia offered Wylie East High School defensive end Anthony James.

The Bulldogs are the first to offer the 6-foot-5 and 220 lbs freshman from Wylie, Texas.

James is not the first 2023 prospective student-athlete to be offered by Georgia. The Bulldogs have offered 17 high school freshmen so far. Justin Benton, Victor Burley, Rueben Owens II, Bryce Thornton, and Peter Woods are five other recent 2023 prospect that UGA has offered in the last 30 days.

Like James, Benton, Burley, and Woods are all projected defensive ends. Justin Benton is a 6-foot-2 and 225 lbs freshman defensive end out of Newton High School in Covington, GA. Victor Burley is a 6-foot-4 and 255 lbs defensive lineman out of Warner Robins High School in Warner Robins, GA. Peter Woods is a 6-foot-3 and 233 lbs defensive lineman out of Thompson High School in Alabaster, AL.

Bryce Thornton is a 5-foot-11 and 185 lbs defensive back out of Milton High School in Milton, GA, and Rueben Owens II is a 5-foot-11 and 180 lbs athlete out of El Campo High School in El Campo, TX.

Georgia also has one commitment already for the 2023 recruiting class, Treyaun Webb out of Trinity Christian Academy in Jacksonville, FL. Webb committed to the Bulldogs back on November 12, 2019.
