Dawgs in the NFL: Playoffs

Following the NFL’s Divisional Playoffs, there are 10 Georgia alums remaining — three each for the Los Angeles Rams, the Kansas City Chiefs, and the Cincinnati Bengals, and one for the San Francisco 49ers.

The Chiefs will entertain Cincinnati in the AFC Championship at 3 p.m. Sunday, followed by the 49ers at Los Angeles at 6:30 p.m. for the NFC Championship.

The Bulldogs have had at least one player on a Super Bowl roster for 20 straight seasons, the longest current national streak.

How the Bulldogs fared in the Divisional Playoffs:

Rams 30, Buccaneers 27

Leonard Floyd, OLB: Floyd posted four tackles, including a sack, for the Rams.

Sony Michel, RB: Michel had a 4-yard rush and two catches for minus-4 yards for Los Angeles.

Matthew Stafford, QB: Stafford went 28-of-38 for 366 yards and two touchdowns, including a 70-yarder, for the Rams. His 44-yard pass in the final 30 seconds set up the game-winning field goal as time expired. Stafford also rushed four times for six yards and a touchdown.

Chiefs 42, Bills 36 (OT)

Deandre Baker, DB: Baker recorded one tackle for the Chiefs.

Mecole Hardman, WR: Hardman rushed twice for 31 yards and a touchdown, and he caught a 26-yard pass to set up the game-winning score in overtime for Kansas City.

Malik Herring, DE: Herring has spent the entire season on the Chiefs’ non-football injury reserve list.

Isaiah McKenzie, WR: McKenzie returned a kickoff for 22 yards, rushed three times for 15 yards, and caught a 3-yard pass for Buffalo.

Bengals 19, Titans 16

Lamont Gaillard, OL: Gaillard has spent the entire season on Cincinnati’s practice squad.

Trey Hill, OL: Hill protected on five placement kicks — four field goals, including the game-winner as time expired, and an extra point — for the Bengals.

Elijah Holyfield, RB: Holyfield has been on Cincinnati’s practice squad all year.

Ben Jones OL: Jones logged all 53 snaps at center and helped Tennessee roll up 353 total yards.

Monty Rice, LB: Rice ended the year on the Titans’ injured reserve list with an ankle injury.

49ers 13, Packers 10

Charlie Woerner, TE: Woerner appeared on 21 offensive and 20 special teams plays for San Francisco. He was targeted once and was on the field when the 49ers blocked a punt for their lone touchdown and when they converted the game-winning field goal as time expired.

Eric Stokes, DB: Stokes played all 54 snaps on defense for Green Bay, posting four tackles.
