Started each of the first two games before suffering an injury and receiving a medical redshirt…contributed seven catches for 70 yards, as well as the first two rushes of his career for 40 yards with a career-long 34-yard touchdown run on his first career rush vs. Weber State to total 110 all-purpose yards…earned honorable mention Pac-12 All-Academic recognition…on the preseason watch list for the Biletnikoff Award.

Freshman All-American honors from Campus Insiders, ESPN.com, Phil Steele and USA Today, while also picking up Cal’s Bob Simmons Award as its Most Valuable Freshman…ranked second on the team in receptions (50), receiving yards (767) and touchdown catches (7)…finished among the nation’s top freshmen in receiving touchdowns (2nd), receiving yards per game (3rd, 63.9), receiving yards (3rd), yards per reception (6th, team-high 15.3), receptions (7th) and receptions per game (8th)…broke Cal freshman records previously set by DeSean Jackson for receiving yards in 2005 and Keenan Allen for receptions in 2010 while equaling Jackson’s freshman mark in touchdown receptions…had five receptions of 50-plus yards to rank tied for fifth nationally among all players, with the final three going for scores…added 10 kick returns for 202 yards to total 969 all-purpose yards… had his first career 100-yard receiving game at Arizona State when he caught four passes for 103 yards and a career-high-tying two touchdowns…first career touchdown catch on a 59-yarder in the fourth quarter at San Diego State…had five of the team’s seven longest plays from scrimmage…had at least one catch in all 12 games he played…had career highs of six kick returns and 116 kick return yards as well as a career-long kick return of 39 yards at Oregon State in a contest in which he finished with a career-best 145 all-purpose yards…also competed in track, totaling four second-place finishes in his freshman campaign (100 meters and 4×100 meter relay at the Big Meet and the Brutus Hamilton Challenge).
Savannah Christian coached by Donald Chumley, after spending two years at Savannah Day School coached by Dennis Coyle…ESPN 4-star prospect, #62 player nationally, and #6 WR nationally, and #8 player in the state…five-star prospect from 247 Sports, Rivals, and Scout including the #1 WR nationally for each…four-year varsity player who played multiple positions, including running back, wide receiver and cornerback while also contributing to the return game…checked in at #62 in ESPN300…played in the U.S. Army All-American Bowl…rushed for 1,043 yards and nine touchdowns on 107 carries as a senior while adding 12 catches for 126 yards and one score, four kick returns for 149 yards and one touchdown, and 10 punt returns for 145 yards and two touchdowns for a total of 1,463 all-purpose yards and 13 total scores for a team that finished 9-3 overall and 5-0 in the conference…on defense, totaled 41 tackles and two interceptions and one pass deflected…also played basketball and was on the track and field team, earning the Savannah Morning News’ Male Track and Field Athlete of the Year in each of his final two prep seasons.
2019: Enrolled at UGA in January and participated in Spring drills…had a team-high eight tackles for the Red squad at the annual G-Day intrasquad game.
