AUBURN

 
Auburn boasts three Heisman Trophy winners in its history – Pat Sullivan in 1971, Vincent “Bo” Jackson in 1985 and Cam Newton in 2010.
 
Legendary Georgia head football coach and athletic director Vince Dooley was a standout wide receiver for fellow Hall of Fame coach “Shug” Jordan at Auburn in the 1950s.
 
Auburn’s 2004 backfield trio of quarterback Jason Campbell and running backs Cadillac Williams and Ronnie Brown were all first-round NFL Draft picks the following spring.
 

GEORGIA

 
Five of the six SEC championships that Georgia captured under the watch of Vince Dooley were clinched with victories “on the plains” over Auburn.
 
Legendary Georgia Swimming Coach Jack Bauerle has guided the Bulldogs women’s program to seven national championships, including three of the last five.
 
From 1985-2008, the Georgia Men’s Tennis Team, under the watch of legendary Bulldogs Dan Magill and Manny Diaz played in 13 of 24 NCAA Championship Finals.
 
Twice in program history has Georgia lost to Auburn on the gridiron and gone on to win the Southeastern Conference title, in 1942 and 2005.
 
In the Bulldogs 28-0 victory at Auburn to clinch the 1976 Southeastern Conference championship, Georgia did not complete a pass.
 
In the Bulldogs 24-21 win on the plains in 2002, during the second half, Georgia’s defense had a stretch of stopping Auburn three-and-out on six straight possessions.
