Four Bulldogs Named Preseason All-SEC First Team

The University of Georgia had four Bulldogs named as Preseason ALL-SEC First Team selections, including two on offense and two on defense, and had a total of eight players named to the Preseason ALL-SEC squads.

 
Senior tailback Nick Chubb received 211 votes and sophomore tight end Isaac Nauta received 134 votes to be named to the league’s First Team Offense. Junior linebacker Roquan Smith received 157 votes and junior defensive lineman Trenton Thompson received 172 votes to be named to the SEC’s First Team Defense.

The Bulldogs also had another four players named to the Second and Third teams. Senior offensive lineman Isaiah Wynn received 116 votes to make the Second Team Offense, and senior safety Dominick Sanders received was voted onto the Second Team Defense with 109 votes. Receiving enough votes to be named to the Third Team Offense was senior tailback Sony Michel with 30, and senior linebacker Lorenzo Carter was named to Third Team Defense with 82 votes.
