Georgia added its second commitment to its 2020 class on Thursday afternoon. The announcement came as a somewhat surprise as Broderick Jones announced his pledge to the Bulldogs over Alabama. Jones is the Bulldogs second pledge with Nazir Stackhouse. The latest pledge gave Georgia the No. 5 class in the nation and the No. 3 SEC class.

Jones is a five-star offensive tackle from Lithonia, Georgia. He stands at 6-6 275 pounds. According to 247Sports rankings, Jones ranks as the No. 35 overall player, the No. 5 OT and the No. 4 2020 prospect in Georgia. He currently holds four offers from Georgia, Alabama, Maryland, Tennessee, and Clemson. However as he continues to grow and get better, I expect that number to triple.

As a rising junior, there is plenty of time to go before he signs any paperwork. He’s pledged to Georgia right now and it appears solid, but with a guy, this good its always up in the air until the pen hits the paper. For a while, it seemed to be between Georgia and Alabama, but it seems Georgia did all the right things to get him to commit.

The commit came as a surprise, but a nice one as Georgia begins to build its 2020 class too. Jones appears to be a special kid, and I’ve reached out to get an interview with him.

Check out his hudl and see what this enormous prospect has to offer.
