Georgia Football Fall Camp: Day Practice Report

James Cook (6)
Today was another brief viewing session. We were out there for 7 minutes so here is what I saw from the offense and defense while I was out there.
-Divaad Wilson, Kearis Jackson, and Jayson Stanley were all running in the end zone not participating in drills
-Quay Walker is getting tons of love from Kirby Smart. He was working with him individually for a good chunk of time while we were out there. He even followed him as drills changed and coached him up on the run. Its really starting to look like he’s going to have a role this year on that defense.
-Adam Anderson was working with OLB’s. He’s been getting work at the star as well and should be another freshman that sees the field this year.
-The main defensive BACK group was as listed: Mark Webb, Deandre Baker, Tyson Campbell, Ameer Speed, William Poole, and Eric Stokes. Remember, Tyrique McGhee is injured and has been ruled out for the season opener.
-NFL scouts were out there today but I primarily watched the defense and saw the San Diego Chargers out there.
-I saw Andrew Thomas working alongside Solomon Kindley and Luke Ford in one drill. We may be seeing some love come Kindley’s way and it appears he is getting some love at the LG position. Greg Poole mentioned to me that Luke Ford is a physical specimen and that he is the most athletic player at the tight end position.
-Jim Chaney yelled at Charlie Woerner grabbing his jersey saying,” Block the F****** edge!” He had a hop in his step today. Saw him running today the coach looks a lot healthier.
-James Cook was getting work at the Wild-Dawg once again. Its going to be really exciting to see what he is able to do once he’s given the snaps. Reminds me of a Percy Harvin type player
