Baghdad, Florida native Bubba Watson is one of Georgia’s most decorated golfing alums, highlighted by his Masters victories in 2012 and 2014, and 12 career PGA tour wins.

In Georgia’s 26-21 victory over Florida in 1981, Herschel Walker set the SEC record for carries in a game with 47 for 192 yards and four total touchdowns – two rushing, two receiving.

En route to the 1966 SEC championship, Georgia topped undefeated Florida 27-10, holding the Gators, led by Heisman winner Steve Spurrier, to zero second-half first downs.

Gator baseball Coach Kevin O’Sullivan has led Florida to the College World Series seven times this decade (2010-12, 2015-2018), including the national championship in 2017.

The Florida men’s basketball program has been to the Final Four five times (1994, 2000, 2006, 2007 and 2014), with the 2006 and 2007 national championship and 2000 NCAA Runner-Up.

Fred Ridley, who succeeded Georgia alum Billy Payne as chairman of the Augusta National Golf Club, played collegiately at Florida and won the 1975 U.S. Amateur Championship.
