The University of Georgia released its 2018 college football schedule on Tuesday along with the other Southeastern Conference programs. Georgia’s schedule consists of 7 home and 4 away games along with 1 neutral site game.

The Bulldogs will open by hosting Austin Peay, a Division 1 FCS program out of Clarksville, Tennessee, on Saturday, September 1st, which is the first-ever meeting between the two programs. Georgia opens up conference play in their second game of these season as they hit the road for Columbia and an early SEC East rivalry matchup with South Carolina on September 8th. The team returns back home between the hedges on September 15th to face Middle Tennessee State. The Dogs will then close out the month of September with two more SEC Eastern Division opponents on the road at Missouri on September 22nd and then hosting Tennessee on September 29th.

UGA will play three games in October versus Vanderbilt, LSU, and Florida. The Bulldogs will host the Commodores on October 6th and then for the first time in 10 years, will travel to Baton Rouge to take on Louisiana State University on October 13th. The last time UGA played LSU was in 2013 in Athens and the last time they traveled to Death Valley was 2008. Georgia gets its bye week after the LSU game and then will close out the month with the annual Georgia-Florida contest in Jacksonville on October 27th.

In the final stretch of the 2018 college football season, Georgia will play four games in the month of November and the final three will be in Athens. First up, though, will be a road trip to Lexington and SEC East opponent, Kentucky. The Deep South’s Oldest Rivalry with Auburn at Sanford is on November 10th followed by an out of conference game versus Massachusetts on the 17th. Georgia’s agreement to play UMass in football also included a home-and-home series in men’s basketball, which starts with a game between the two schools in Amherst, Mass, on Dec. 16, 2017. The Dogs will then host Georgia Tech on November 24th to close out the regular season.
