[su_spacer size=”20″] The awards season continues for the Georgia New Media Department as it picked up its first ever Southeast Regional Emmy on Saturday night, June 6. Georgia earned the Emmy in the Program Feature/Segment category for Super Cooper. It is the second Emmy for Georgia and the first for the New Media Department.
[su_spacer size=”40″] Super Cooper is the story of Cooper Smith, a young Georgia fan from Monroe, Ga., who was born with an irregular heart and has now had two surgeries. While recovering from his second heart surgery, 11 Georgia football players, including Todd Gurley, Hutson Mason and Malcolm Mitchell, paid a visit to him in the hospital.
