Godwin Returning For Special Season

It’s always hard to end your season on a loss, but it is significantly worse when its the national championship game in overtime. This loss is a huge reason why Godwin returned for his senior season as well as building off the success of last years team.
“I know for a fact that this season is going to be special,” Godwin said. “It’s something I want to be apart of and I want to keep being apart of this Georgia Bulldog legacy as long as I can. There’s no better fan base then DawgNation. You go out through that tunnel with the bulldog right there, you bust through the banner and you look into the stands and see red and black. It can’t get any better than that.”
For a fan, it may seem impossible to overcome those losses and absolutely gut-wrenching, but for Godwin, the past is the past. The team has no choice but to look ahead and Godwin is ready to lead the team this upcoming season.
“If you dwell on the past then the next team has already defeated you,” Godwin said. “If you’re a true competitor you want to put that in the past and just build on to what you got coming up next.”
Besides the absence of star receiver Javon Wims, Godwin returns with loads of other talent by his side at the wide receiver position and most importantly a second-year quarterback Jake Fromm.
This is the first time Georgia will have a starting Quarterback return from the previous season as Lambert and Eason both technically did but were either injured or benched after game one in their second season.
It will be nice to see the Chaney offense finally get the chance to evolve under a seasoned Quarterback. Year two almost always results in a ramped up production and efficiency.
According to rivals Georgia has eleven current 5 stars alone just on the offensive side of the ball. While some of them will not start because three alone were from this past recruiting class, the future seems to be unfair for the SEC East.
Not only will Georgia have a special year, I think its safe to say years.
