UGA safety J.R. Reed talks about Georgia vs. Florida in his Monday, October 28, 2019 interview from Butts-Mehre Heritage Hall. The senior discusses whether it is an advantage or disadvantage playing the game in Jacksonville as opposed to a home-and-home series.

“I don’t think there’s a disadvantage. The stadium is split 50/50, and there’s just so much history. I love it and being able to go there and play,” said Reed. “I really don’t care, as long as we get there, play, come home with the win and get ready for the next game.”

Reed shared his thoughts about the Dawgs’ defense and the challenge they face versus the Gators’ offense.

“They’re very explosive, and they’re operating under Dan Mullen’s offense. They do a lot of different things,” said Reed. “They spread the ball around to a lot of different guys. We’ve just got to stop the explosive players.”

And what about the quarterback at the center of that Florida offense, Kyle Trask?

“Trask is a great quarterback. You watch him play, and he makes some incredible throws against some incredible teams,” said Reed. “Some of the decisions that he makes are unbelievable, so containing him and giving him different looks will be big.”
