Jackson Harris commented on how the team doesn’t pay attention to outside sources or social media when he spoke to the media on Monday. The tight end says that he personally doesn’t do the whole social media thing and that he focuses on working to get better.

Harris talks about how the team’s goal is to improve each day and they take it day by day. He says they just look at each week as another game and it is their job to prepare and get ready.

“Honestly, we don’t even pay attention to it. We just focus on the week ahead,” Harris says. “It has not been any different in the weeks prior, it is just that each Saturday you have another game and a different opponent. We are just focused on improving ourselves each day and that is our main task. We will take it one day at a time.”

It seems that head coach Kirby Smart’s philosophy carries down through to his players. Harris is one example of many in that they have bought into what Smart is selling. Taking each day head on and improving each day seems to me the Smart way, and seems to work so far.
