Jeff Dantzler interviews former Georgia and Chicago Bears kicker Kevin Butler on his show on 960 The Ref.

K. Butler boomed the pig skin through the uprights from 1981-1984 for the Bulldogs en route to being named an All-American twice and All-SEC four times and etching his name in the UGA record books. After Georgia, he went on to be drafted by Chicago in round 4 of the 1985 NFL Draft, playing 11 seasons for the Bears and finishing his pro-football career with the Arizona Cardinals in 1996 and 1997. In total, K. Butler played 13 seasons in the NFL and was on the 1985 Bears’ Super Bowl XX Championship team. K. Butler is still considered one of the all-time great kickers in both college and the NFL. His son Drew Butler also attended and graduated from UGA and was a standout punter for the Bulldogs from 2008-2011.

K. Butler is currently a graduate assistant for the Georgia coaching staff assisting with the kickers and punters on special teams.
