The second week of November had some great matchups and fantastic football. The best race of any conference is the Big Ten East, where the Spartans and Wolverines are vying to knock the Buckeyes off their perch. It’s also a great battle in the Big XII, especially after Baylor’s win over Oklahoma.

1. Georgia – The Bulldogs are 10-0 after a 41-17 topping of Tennessee in Knoxville. Georgia hosts Charleston Southern this week on the heels of eight straight SEC games. Then it’s off to play the Yellow Jackets.

2. Alabama – It was a typical easy win for the Crimson Tide against New Mexico State. Arkansas heads to Tuscaloosa Saturday. If Alabama beats the Hogs and Auburn, then it’s another trip to the SEC Championship Game.

3. Oregon – The Ducks raced past Washington State 38-24 to make it 9-1 on the year. Oregon will have one of its toughest challenges of the season this weekend, facing Utah in Salt Lake City.

4. Cincinnati – The Bearcats took care of South Florida in Tampa to run the record to 10-0 on the season. Now comes Cincinnati’s toughest challenge since beating Notre Dame in South Bend, as the Bearcats host SMU.

5. Ohio State – There would be no upset this past Saturday, as the Buckeyes rolled past Purdue 59-31. That’s a lot of offense. Now comes a huge battle with Michigan State in Columbus with enormous Big Ten East stakes on the line.

6. Michigan State – The Spartans handled Maryland and the stage is now set for an enormous battle with Ohio State in the horseshoe. If Michigan State could pull off this upset, it would be one of the biggest wins in school history.

7. Michigan – The Wolverines won a tight and tough one against Penn State 21-17 this past Saturday. Michigan’s lone loss is to the Spartans. It’s off to Maryland for a scary tester before the Buckeyes come to town.

8. Oklahoma State – The Cowboys had an enormous offensive explosion to beat TCU 63-17, improving to 9-1 on the year. The game this week at Texas Tech could be dangerous, especially with the Sooners looming.

9. Notre Dame – It was an impressive 28-3 win for Notre Dame at Virginia. The Fighting Irish’s lone loss this season came to Cincinnati in South Bend. The Yellow Jackets from Atlanta visit the Golden Dome Saturday.

10. Ole Miss – The Rebels are putting together a season to remember in Oxford. Ole Miss took a showdown over Texas A&M 29-19 at Vaught-Hemingway. Vandy heads to Oxford Saturday, and then it’s a major battle with Mississippi State.

11. Oklahoma – The Sooners had their undefeated season come to an end against Baylor 27-14 in Waco. They are still in the thick of the Big XII race. Boomer Sooner hosts Iowa State Saturday.

12. Wake Forest – Coming off of arguably the most heartbreaking loss in school history, the Demon Deacons registered one of their biggest wins ever, beating N.C. State. The stage is set for another big battle against Clemson in Tiger Town.

13. Baylor – It was a tremendous bounce-back for the Bears, who took down Oklahoma 27-14 in Waco. They are kicking themselves for the loss the week prior to TCU. Next up is a trip to Kansas State.

14. Arkansas – The Razorbacks won an emotional thriller in overtime over LSU. Sam Pittman’s Hogs have broken long losing skids against Texas A&M and the Tigers this year. Alabama hosts the Hogs Saturday.

15. Texas A&M – The grind of the SEC schedule is rough for every team. The Aggies came up short 29-19 at Ole Miss, which knocked out their SEC championship hopes. It’s a tune-up with Prairie View and then LSU in Baton Rouge.
