Over the weekend, on Saturday, the University of Georgia held their annual spring G-Day game and Bulldog fans answered the #93KDay call from Head Coach Kirby Smart and then some. And fans were not the only ones visiting the Classic City, as Georgia had a number of recruiting prospects also visiting. One of them came away very impressed. So much so, that Jeremiah Holloman has a new leader.

And it wasn’t just the fans and love and energy from Bulldawg Nation, but the class of 2017 four-star wide receiver out of Newton High School in Georgia came impressed by the Bulldog’s freshman QB, Jacob Eason, who he could very well be catching passes from in 2017.

And this wasn’t the only time UGA has impressed Jeremiah Holloman. After a visit to Athens back on March, he told DawgNation’s Jeff Sentell he had one of the best weekends he has ever had:

“This has been the best weekend I have ever had in my life hands down,” he told DawgNation on Monday night after what he described as a wonderful unofficial visit to UGA.

And the feeling must have been mutual because Georgia offered the fast rising star at receiver soon afterwards:

The 6 foot 2 and 191 lbs rising high school senior is being recruited heavily and has over 28 offers so far; so, for Georgia to be named his leader is a big deal, but that doesn’t mean the Holloman’s recruitment is far from over. The Bulldogs will face stiff competition from the University of Tennessee, who was his top school before Holloman’s G-Day trip to Athens. Ole Miss is another program that could pluck the Peach State receiver from Georgia. And I also wouldn’t count out Auburn or Alabama from trying to one up the Dawgs, but for right now, Georgia is out in front in what is sure to be a marathon race to National Signing Day.
