Yesterday, Kirby Smart was asked how the quarterback competition will proceed when fall camp opens on August 1:

We will be very similar to the way we were in the spring in that a lot of people go with the first team. Brice and Greyson will both share those reps, as well as, Jacob rolling in.
We practice in such a way that sometimes with ones and threes are on the field, sometimes or twos and fours on the field… They will be so much mixed and matched the think everyone will be kind of equitable through, at least, the first scrimmage. We will try to make some decisions after that.

We are trying to get those reps right around 33% with each guy and try to get as much balance as we can.

There will be no exact number of reps that each guy gets. It’s going to be more about how each guy is progressing, what they need, what the receivers need.
