Kirby Smart’s Bulldogs regular season ended on a sour note against their in-state rivals, the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets, but Kirby is still focused on improving the team.

The Bulldogs seemed to be getting on a little hot streak in this last four-game stretch of the season, but they were stunned Saturday after Georgia Tech pulled off a 13 point comeback and earned a 1 point victory.

However, this game seemed to be par for the course with some of the Bulldogs other losses this season, in that, they seemed to have a handle on the game but just let it slip in the end.

After the Bulldogs earned the 13 point lead, it seemed as if the game was in the bag and that mindset may have been taken up by some of Georgia’s players.

Kirby Smart was clearly frustrated with his team’s inability to pull off the victory but knew that harping on it was not the right mindset to have.

We didn’t play for 60 minutes…That’s frustrating and disappointing, but we will bounce back. We’ve got an opportunity to play in a bowl game. We’ve got to get this team better with every practice and we will improve.

This loss will definitely hurt for the Bulldogs, with this being the last for some in Sanford Stadium, but they have one more opportunity in the bowl game to end their season on a high note.
