Head Coach Kirby Smart addressed the media after the second scrimmage of fall camp. He ushered the press conference along quickly, expecting news from a particular Fort Valley, GA prospect. During the press conference, Smart talked about Jacob Eason and addressed his sophomore quarterback’s performance.

Smart talked about Jacob Eason’s accuracy through out the second scrimmage. He mentioneed the long ball and how much his accuracy has improved from the first scrimmage in just over a week. Smart did not forget about the new “kid” on the block and hit on Jake Fromm’s progress too.

“Jacob threw the ball downfield better and was a little more accurate, and so was (Jake) Fromm,” Smart said. “The receivers and quarterbacks were on the same page more. They executed well.”

Georgia is 13 days away from playing Appalachian State and getting the 2017 campaign going. With Eason’s accuracy issues being one of the biggest concerns from last season, Smart seems to be happy with his progress thus far.
