[su_spacer size=”20”] Kirby Smart is known to be an ace recruiter and one reason he has gained that title is because he uses every weapon he possibly can to gain the recruiting advantage on other schools. The University of Georgia’s upcoming G-Day is yet another tool that Smart hopes to put in full use – a 93K G-Day.

Kirby Smart has brought in a new wave of excitement to the Bulldawg nation and one aspect that he hopes that excitement to have a major effect on is recruiting. Coach Smart immediately jumped on the recruiting trail after accepting the job as Georgia’s headman and after closing out most of the 2016 class, with 5-star ATH Demetris Robertson still uncommitted, Smart is working to continue to build momentum on his future recruiting classes.
[su_spacer size=”40”] One way that he has immediately started building up anticipation for Georgia fans is what I like to call “Smart’s calling of the Dawgs.” Smart is calling on Dawg nation to pack the house for the Bulldogs upcoming G-Day. The University of Georgia is going all out this G-day, with rumors of musical performances among other things to take place during the festivities, but the thought of a sold-out stadium not only got fans excited but also seemed to catch the attention of many top recruits.
[su_spacer size=”40”] With the recruiting phenomenon that is Dawg Night looming, Smart hopes to get things started off right with a packed G-day. Smart understands how recruits feel about the idea of a packed G-Day and even had this to say concerning how recruits feel about it:

I’m excited about the energy that 93,000 would bring to recruiting. There’s a lot of kids that I talk to each night that are talking about that day and saying ‘Coach we want to see that stadium full and it’s gonna help in recruiting’ and the other kids are talking to each other so they’re talking about it.

[su_spacer size=”40”] Coach Smart definitely sees the influence this event could have on recruiting if a 93K G-Day becomes a Sanford Stadium reality.

Nice Job Michael, I remember when Saban was getting started at Alabama he packed the stadium for their spring game and we have seen how things have worked for them. I look forward to more articles from you and if things ever slow down I can introduce you to the UGA Rugby Coach — thanks again for a fine write up !

Great article.  I wish I could be there, but having moved to California, the game is a bit far.  I am excited about it though.
