Malaki Starks has long been one of the top recruited athletes in the country in the class of 2022. Throughout a 3 year process, nearly every program in America came calling for the versatile player from Jefferson, Georgia. Ultimately the decision came down to Alabama, Clemson, and Georgia. Today, Malaki Starks announced his decision to commit to the ‘G’.
Starks is likely to play Safety or Star at UGA. A tremendous running back, quarterback, safety, and linebacker during his time at Jefferson, Starks has the size and athleticism that will translate nicely to the secondary for Kirby Smart’s defense. Starks was pursued as intently as prospect in the 2022 class by the Dawgs. A position group of focus in the class, Starks now joins Marquis Groves-Killebrew and Deyon Bouie in the class as secondary players.
