The Georgia football team held its fifth TaxSlayer Bowl practice in as many days Sunday afternoon in preparation for the upcoming game against Penn State.
The Bulldogs practiced for two hours in full pads and will return to the practice field Monday and Tuesday in Athens. Georgia players will then report to Jacksonville on Sunday, Dec. 27.

“We had an enthusiastic practice today,” said interim head coach Bryan McClendon. “The guys worked hard and were moving around fast. I thought we got in some good work, and we need to keep working on all areas leading up to the game.”

Georgia (9-3) will be making its 51st appearance in a bowl game when it takes on Penn State (7-5) at 12 p.m. ET on Jan. 2. The Bulldogs have 28 all-time bowl wins, which is tied for third-most nationally while the 51 appearances rank fourth.

The Bulldogs are also looking to win ten games in a season for the 22nd time in school history. The Georgia seniors enter the bowl with 39 wins over the last four years, and they have led the Bulldogs to a bowl this year for a school-record 19th consecutive season.

The TaxSlayer Bowl will air live on ESPN. The broadcast team features Allan Bestwick (play-by-play), Dan Hawkins (analyst) and Tiffany Greene (sidelines).
