[su_spacer size=”20″] Working in “perfect” weather conditions on Tuesday, the Georgia football team hit the halfway point of spring practice drills.
[su_spacer size=”40″] The Bulldogs worked for two hours in full pads as temperatures reached into the mid- to high-70s. The workout was the eighth of the spring for the Bulldogs, who will resume practices on Thursday.

There’s my weather report,” Georgia coach Mark Richt said with a laugh. “We got the work in today and I think we’re getting better little by little. The offense was a little sloppy today. We had trouble picking up blitzes. But we had our first 1-minute drill and the execution was good. So we’re getting there.”
[su_spacer size=”40″] Senior nose Chris Mayes was credited with seven tackles, including two for a loss and a sack in last Saturday’s scrimmage. On Tuesday, Mayes was asked to evaluate his play.
[su_spacer size=”40″] “For me, I was still disappointed because I had some missed assignments, I didn’t place my hand on the right man, things like that,” Mayes said. “The tackles I got were more like effort tackles. I think the scrimmage gave me a lot of things to work on and build off of.”
