While it wasn’t quite the list of who’s who when it came to blue chip, 4 and 5-star rated recruiting prospects visiting Athens this weekend for the Louisiana-Lafayette vs. Georgia game as compared to last weekend’s SEC showdown between the Dawgs and Tigers, there were still quite a number of talented high school football players who came on out to Sanford Stadium to check out the action and the return of the Bulldogs’ black jerseys.

I don’t know if Richard LeCounte III and Deangelo Gibbs have a wager on who takes the most unofficial visits to UGA or not, but both 2017 prospects at defensive back were back in Athens after visiting last weekend for the Auburn game. LeCounte has been verbally committed to the Bulldogs for almost a year, and although, Gibbs is still undeclared, he is considered to be a heavy Georgia lean. I’ll take it as a good sign that he has made many trips to the Classic City and so should fans. LeCounte and Gibbs were not the only defensive back prospects visiting this weekend.

Christian Tutt - Class of 2018 DB - Thomson High School, GA

Christian Tutt was also in attendance. Tutt is a defensive back prospect for the class of 2018 out of Thomson High School in Thomson, GA, and UGA is considered one of the top choices at the moment. However, the Bulldogs face strong competition from Alabama and Ohio State here.

Katerian Legrone was another 2018 prospect on hand at Saturday’s game. The 6 foot 3 and 220 lbs junior from the Atlanta, GA metro area has racked up over 52 receptions, 1,104 yards receiving, and 10 touchdowns in his 3 years at B.E.S.T. Academy playing at tight end and wide receiver according to MaxPreps.

Jalil Irvin - Class of 2018 - Stephenson HS, Stone Mountain, GA

Also in attendance from the class of 2018 were Louis Hall a wide receiver and defensive back out of Woodstock High School, GA; Jalil Irvin, a 4-star offensive line prospect out of Stephenson High School from Stone Mountain; and Caleb Tannor, a defensive end out of Miller Grove High School from Lithonia, GA.

Deangelo Gibbs was not the only player from the Grayson Rams visiting. His teammate, Kenyatta Watson II, a defensive back prospect for the class of 2019, also came along. Gibbs and Watson have had a busy weekend as Grayson is coming off a 59-21 win in round 2 of the playoffs over Woodstock from Friday the 18th, and they will be looking to help the Rams advance to the semi-finals in the playoffs as they face Colquitt County in the quarterfinals this coming Friday on November 25th.

Kevon Glenn was another 2019 prospect in attendance. He is a 6 foot 1 and 207 lbs linebacker out of Dutchtown High School from Hampton, GA and amassed over 54 tackles during his sophomore season. Other 2019 prospects on hand were Tyrek Presley out of Drew High School from Atlanta, GA and Mataio Soli out of Douglas County High School, GA.

Griffin Brewster - Class of 2020 - Darlington High School, Rome, GA

Here are some of the reactions from the recruits from Georgia’s 35-21 win over Louisiana-Lafayette.
