Roquan Smith’s Stolen Items Recovered

Roquan Smith lost several items from his new BMW when the car was burglarized recently. Good News! Police in Summerville GA have recovered the stolen property. Athens police traced the items to Summerville via fingerprints left in Smith’s vehicle.

Smith reported to the Athens-Clarke County Police Department that several prized jerseys and other items were stolen from his 2018 BWM on Saturday. Jerseys from his national championship, Rose Bowl and Taxslayer bowl games as a linebacker with the University of Georgia were taken.

Those three jerseys and some of Smith’s other possessions were recovered Tuesday night in Chattooga County, according to Summerville Police Detective Ty Hutchins.

Smith took to social media asking for help in relocating his University of Georgia jerseys and helmet that were taken from his car.

“There were a lot of items taken but none more dear to his heart than his UGA jerseys and helmet,” his aunt posted Tuesday.

Other items taken from Smith’s car included: four pairs of Bose headphones, Bluetooth speakers, a Kyboe watch, a Michael Kors watch, Nike shoes and an iPad containing the Chicago Bears playbook.

The Bears recently picked Smith in the first round of the NFL draft.

“There is no telling how much this stuff is worth. Some of it, like his 2017 National Championship helmet is probably priceless,” Det. Hutchins said.
