Staff Score Predictions for Georgia-Florida

Georgia vs Florida edit by Bob Miller

The Bulldogs have a crucial rivalry game this week against the Florida Gators and some members of the Bulldawg Illustrated staff gave their score prediction for this game.

Vance Leavy: 35-10 Georgia

To say this is a huge game for our program is an understatement. I believe the ball is going to bounce our way early. Kirby Smart needs a game where his team proves they can play sound football as a unit. I think that happens on Saturday.

Murray Poole: 21-14 Florida

Very, very tempted to call the upset but until I see Kirby Smart’s first Georgia team able to put both its running and passing games together against such a defense as the Bulldogs are encountering in Florida, I have to ride with the favored Gators, say by 21-14 in a good one.

Corbindawg: 24-13 Florida

While Florida’s defense is elite, overall Georgia’s defense has been pretty good. This will make it a low scoring game where the Dawgs have a puncher’s chance. The difference will be Georgia giving the Gators easy scores from turnovers and special teams miscues.

ImYourHuckleberry: 16-13 Georgia

It’s going to be a physical slugfest for 60-minutes. Georgia cleans up the special teams’ mistakes this week and the defense plays their best game of the season after the bye. Rodrigo “Wild Thing” Blankenship nails a 48-yard field goal as time expires for the Dawgs victory!

Bob Miller: 24-20 Georgia

This will be my 37th Georgia-Florida game. I think it’s going to be a close, hard-fought contest, but I have Georgia coming out on top 24-20. I think the Dawgs will play angry and with a chip on their shoulder. Florida’s defense will make it tough sledding for the offense, but I believe there will be opportunities for Eason and company to exploit over the middle of the field in that 5 to 15-yard area due to the Gators stacking the box to stop the run and their CBs on islands against the WRs. Look for the TEs or slot WR to be open over that middle part of the field if Chaney will make that call. What Georgia cannot do, what they must not do, is spot Florida 7 to 10 points with special teams’ mistakes.

Savannah Richardson: 35-28 Georgia

I think UGA wins in a last minute drive and they finally learn how to control the clock. It’s been a long few weeks for the Dawgs and it’s time to turn it around. I think the run game gets going and the passing game will stay consistent. It will finally be a nice mix of offense instead of depending on one aspect.

Greg Poole: 28-17 Georgia

I thought the Dawgs looked focused on the prize in Jax during preparations this week and they will have to be. If the offense is ever going to break out, this is the time for it to happen.Eason should have command of the system by now. Georgia will get physical and tame the reptiles.

Michael Pope: 20-17 Georgia

The Bulldogs defense has improved as the season has progressed and I expect this notion to continue in this game, as well. However, the Bulldogs are still trying to find their way on offense and I believe this could be the game where they get it going. This game being the fierce rivalry that it is will make the Bulldogs play with a chip on their shoulder and have added motivation going into this game. This motivation will drive the Bulldogs to have their best game in all aspects and lead them to a close victory in a low-scoring affair.
