Trezmen Marshall is Nothing but Smiles

Entering his fourth year with the team inside linebacker, Trezmen Marshall had his interview debut at yesterday’s post-practice press conference. The Clinch County native out of Homerville, GA hasn’t been able to see the field for a couple reasons, but that hasn’t caused his morale to waiver a bit.

Marshall was all smiles even after having his time at Georgia sidetracked with a couple injuries. Regardless, he was able to contribute to 21 different games over the course of his career, 14 of which come from his freshman season. During that time he’s experienced four injuries, the first of which he already endured before coming to Athens.

An experience like this might dishearten a player, but Marshall has had his head up the whole time. Marshall explained the issue with his shoulder where he’s had three procedures done, and one minor surgery on his knee. He gave praise to the program for believing in him during his recovery process. Just speaking about UGA had him grinning ear to ear, “I love UGA. I’ve been injured a few times, but everybody gets injured.”

Playing behind the linebacker core that Georgia fielded last year usually leads to someone of Marshall’s stature to look at the transfer portal nowadays. But the former four-star recruit has remained loyal to his home state, emphasizing that he believes in his own ability. Saying he “never felt shame,” playing behind the likes of Nakobe Dean, Quay Walker, and Channing Tindall, “It’s all respect…We’re good friends.”

In regards to his current health, Marshall admitted that he’s still coming back from an injury at the moment but followed up with a positive response, “It’s just a blessing regardless just to be out here playing for UGA.”

Marshall, to this point, has proven himself to be patient and positive. A mature presence who’s glad to support his teammates whether or not he’s out on the field with them. Trezmen Marshall is a team player who now has a chance at the opportunity he came for when he chose to play for Georgia four years ago. He’s aware of his situation and is ready to take advantage. Marshall is the kinda guy you want on your team.
