Tyrion Ingram-Dawkins has made things official and signed with the University of Georgia. The multi-faceted defensive tackle from Gaffney, South Carolina, has been committed to the Dawgs since the end of October and both figuratively and literally is a huge part of the 2021 class. At 6’5″ 300-plus pounds, TID is going to add much needed depth to the Georgia interior D-line. With Malik Herring, Devonte Wyatt, and Julian Rochester all moving on from the program, and Jordan Davis eligible for the NFL Draft with a decision pending, UGA needed find a couple of big, athletic bodies in the middle in 2021.

Georgia gets more than just size with TID. The young man is also extremely athletic, regardless of his height and, or weight. Any guy that can take a drop stop off the block in basketball and go up and two hand dunk, well that tells you they’re an explosive athlete. That explosiveness and suddenness made TID nearly unlockable during his high school career and positions him well to be a disruptive force at the next level. Tyrion Ingram-Dawkins has been a very active recruiter for UGA since making his intentions to sign with the program public. If Jordan Davis leaves, it would seem like there would be an opportunity for the 4-Star to get playing time early. Nazir Stackhouse has been a solid contributor for the Dawgs this season as a freshman. It wouldn’t be surprising to see TID do the same.
