Bulldawg Bob2 RumRunnerDoogie should be better recruiting wise. Not so much the shock and name factor tho

  2. Bulldawg Bob2

RumRunnerDoogie Bulldawg Bob2  Yes. There isn’t going to be a Dawg Night like Georgia had under Richt. There will be several recruiting events with smaller groups of prospects invited.

  3. RumRunnerDoogie

Bulldawg Bob2 RumRunnerDoogie isnt kirby changing dawg night to invite only this year or was it splitting up the classes?

  4. Bulldawg Bob2

RumRunnerDoogie Bulldawg Bob2 Aye. Georgia has sent out a lot of 2018 offers recently in addition to offers to 2017 prospects.

  5. RumRunnerDoogie

Bulldawg Bob2 RumRunnerDoogie even tho its those guys who come from pass happy teams that usually do well

Just got finished with the Breaking the Huddle podcast with Rosenberg. Interesting show. I’ll post as soon as I am finished mixing and uploading it to SoundCloud.

  8. RumRunnerDoogie

Bulldawg Bob2 ehhh i dont think this helps at all, i think this is one of those things to just forget and move on

  9. DawgDaddy

Greg Poole I can’t imagine there would be anything new to hear after Macon.

    Bulldawg Bob2
Oh I think its definitely worse.  With so much communication being done on a screen these days, people have a lot less reluctant to be plain rude and nasty to another human being.  Plus there is much more of an entitlement mentality these days.

  11. RumRunnerDoogie

Brooklyndawg RumRunnerDoogie Bulldawg Bob2 wouldnt surprise me to see tenn use her as a paid advertiser in some regard

  12. Brooklyndawg

RumRunnerDoogie Bulldawg Bob2 If she wanted to expand her market, she could set up shop on the corner where I live, it would be fine.

  15. Bulldawg Bob2

RumRunnerDoogie Bulldawg Bob2 Yep. I think he out hit his coverage if you know what I mean lol

  16. Bulldawg Bob2

BahitsDawg Bulldawg Bob2 Greg Poole  Now, that I do agree with. Social etiquette and politeness seem to have become a casualty. I was raised to say “Yes sir ,” “Yes ma’am,” “No sir,” and “No ma’am” as well open the door for women, stand up and offer you seat to a woman if none are available, open and hold the door for my elders, ect.

I get strange looks al the time when I open the door for Christi or offer my seat to a young lady when we are in the waiting room at a restaurant or doctor’s office. Like it is something that is abnormal.

We are dying breed I feel Bahits.

  17. BahitsDawg

Bulldawg Bob2 BahitsDawg Greg Poole It builds on itself until it breaks.  This is a culmination of a lot of garbage being piled on one generation after another.  It is worse now than 100 years ago.  I am not saying there were not bad people back then, but overall, society was much more polite.  Heck, when I was in high school, “Yes Sir”, “No Sir” was the norm.

  18. Bulldawg Bob2

BahitsDawg Greg Poole  I don’t know if it is any worse now-a-days than it was 100 years ago. Just think if social media had been around in the early 20th century? Just think if it had been around in the 60s, 70s, and 80s?

If you give people the means to express themselves anonymously, then a number of those folks are going to act like jack hats.

BahitsDawg Greg Poole Don’t get you hopes up too high BA…  I am afraid we haven’t hit the bottom yet.  This whole safe zone on college campuses and behind the screens of the internet is just in it’s infancy.

  20. RumRunnerDoogie

Greg Poole when its not just a game to some its time to just step back and think about why in the world get so emotional over a recruit?

  21. Greg Poole

AlphaDawg I find myself watch Amazon Prime TV more and more. If I could add ESPN, SECNand a few cooking channel for Mrs ec, I’d be fixed. Amazon is $100/year.

  22. BahitsDawg

Greg Poole very sad.  The discourse in society is currently at close to the bottom.  No where to go but up, I hope.

  23. Bulldawg Bob2

    Bulldawg36  What about Chubby, Chubb-a-nator

Chubb “I’m gonna run you over mother…….”

  24. dawgmum

Greg Poole That is the kind of article I like to read. Smart has got it going on!

RumRunnerDoogie It was yesterday, but it’s always good to keep pushing our positive Dawgs as much as possible!  #26 is a DGD and moving on up in the world…  I posted a great article from the Boston newspaper on him yesterday!

  26. Bulldawg36

I hate when people call Nick Chubb…chubbs! It’s not chubbs….its Chubb!!!!! Get it right!!!!!!!

  27. RumRunnerDoogie

sorry if its been posted before

  28. ZippyMorocco

Greg Poole MMCSDAWG There will be two fall guys, Barney and the ast AD.

  29. willypmd

Greg Poole would be really nice to have Giddens waiting in the wings when Maten likely leaves next year…

  30. RumRunnerDoogie

BenKellam Greg Poole welll he is a big name…granted for all the wrong reasons

  31. Greg Poole

MMCSDAWG This is out in public and will reflect badly on the University if it is whitewashed. Academic types has a different agenda.

Greg Poole Shocked by what he said or shocked that he said in on National TV???  lol!   So who is going to be the sacrificial Lamb in Oxford…  Somebody is gonna get fired.  Better get out front like Bama and fired the lowest hanging fruit before it festers too long!

  33. Bulldawg36

That’s because he doesn’t want anybody messing up his plot to become the greatest team in cfb which is never gonna happen

Bulldawg Bob2 I hear you’ll…  Might have to watch out for those Crickets though! ###

  35. Bulldawg Bob2

My uncle is a Texas Tech alum and fan, lives in Texas. I’ll have to call him up and get his reaction to this.

  36. Bulldawg36

You fellers beta enjoy this weather today. Because starting Monday its gonna get “hot” in the south east! Especially for folks in Waycross Ga and in Pelza liner!!!!! Gawd!!!!

  37. dsw61

Greg Poole I can’t wait for a la carte cable to arrive. I wish health insurance would do the same.

  38. Bulldawg36

You my bro Ba hits! I like coach richt and always will. Just don’t matter to me if succeeds at Miami or not. Not a knock against him just my Concern is only with the Dawgs! What can I say I’m a rabid UGA fan!!!!!!

  39. BahitsDawg

MMCSDAWG My favorite Pat Dye memory is when he challenged our Dawgs by questioning if they were man enough right before we went to Bama and kicked Bama’s butts.  I think he did that to help us – and to hurt Bama, imho.

BahitsDawg Bulldawg36 I gotcha…  Thanks, I guess I’m a little slow today.  Everyone is going to have their opinions, hopes and dreams for where our program goes over the next few seasons…  I was one of the biggest CMR supporters and I was very upset at how the whole fiasco went down over the last couple of seasons…  But, he’s gone now and we have a new leader in Dawgsville!  Learning from your own and others mistakes is a hallmark of a good leader.  I hope Kirby has learned from His, Saban’s and CMR’s mistakes!   I believe he will continue to learn, He hasn’t been the HC in a football game yet, so there is PLENTY to learn and lessons to be had!

  41. Bulldawg Bob2

I don’t read it either, but fans are going to compare Mark Richt and Kirby Smart, especially in this first year.
And whether it is true or not, there is the perception that In his latter years at UGA, CMR teams looked unprepared in big games.

  42. BahitsDawg

Bulldawg36 Earlier in the day there were some posts knocking Richt on being ready for big out of conference games to start the season.  That is probably what PTC is referencing.  I chose to skip over it, but it annoyed me, too.  Let it go and wish Richt the best.  Not many coaches are going to give you the winning percentage we enjoyed under him.  Hopefully, Kirby will give us the occasional or hopefully frequent championships while maintaining the good character image we had under Richt’s watch.

  43. BahitsDawg

PTCDawg yep.  I get tired of it.  Let it go.  It is like a political contest where a candidate concedes, and the dodos for the other candidate keep attacking the candidate who conceded.  No way to smooth hurt feelings.  Just move on and hope for the best with the new guy.

  44. Bulldawg Bob2

Bulldawg36  Yes. He drove to Macon yesterday for Kirby’s speech at UGA Day and is headed to Columbus today.

So none other than Pat Dye weighs in on the Ole Miss and H. Freeze situation in this Washington Post article… I guess it takes one to know one!

  46. AlphaDawg

Greg Poole ZippyMorocco And I think it will get to that. Problem realistically I need about 20 channels total. Ranging from local to ESPN1,2,SEC, etc. Other sport networks like TNT and Fox sports. My wife has a few girly channels. If ESPN is $20 and the rest are $5-10 I’m not really saving money. I would expect most people to need about 20 channel max

  47. Bulldawg Bob2

Good morning everyone. Just checking in on my favorite wearers of red and black. 🙂

Greg Poole MMCSDAWG What I thought…  You’ll actually smiling at each other at one point! l

  49. Greg Poole

ZippyMorocco I would be delighted to pay $20/month for ESPN and drop the 4,285 channels I don’t watch.

Hobnailboot aka RobG Morning HNB aka RobG!   also another great day to be a DAWG!  as they all are…  #ATD

  51. ZippyMorocco

    AlphaDawg Greg Poole
I read that 70% of cable subscribers don’t watch ESPN. We will pay 3 times what we used to.

Greg Poole  Hey boss, have you seen the vimeo video that Dash posted over on Rivals???  I believe that you might need to get some royalties or something…  lol!  I think that’s you in the background the entire interview.    Is this you?

ed603 Not yet…  Good luck Ed and hopefully you will come out the other end pain free!

  54. AlphaDawg

Greg Poole I’m not sure a la cart is actually going to solve the cost problem unfortunately. Having bundles is what offsets the costs of the major networks. ESPN being the biggest. That’s a different topic but someone is going to need to innovate the TV world because it’s spiraling out of control right now.

  55. Greg Poole

I doubt that many of you are interested in this, but changes in the way cable television is delivered to consumers are going to have a huge effect on revenue for college sports. There is also a likely change in the works for the way conferences are organized. Currently, SEC Network (and all the others) receive revenue based on the number of cable subscribers within the conference footprint. As more subscribers opt for skinny bundles or cut the cable altogether, conference networks will suffer revenue declines.
At some point, à la carte programming will be in effect. When that happens, IMHO, SEC will have by far the greatest revenue from conference networks due to the rapid nature of the fan bases within the conference.

  56. ed603

Morning, BI…been out of commission for a few days! Missed my daily BI fix. Disk in my back compressed a nerve, and had me on steroids and pain killers…Would fall in the draft for sure! Now have to go through some kind of injection in my back, then 3 weeks of rehab. Anyone had this proceedure?

Greg Poole He sayin he got another fish on the hook and put on ice in the Dawg cooler!

Greg Poole Dawgnation4 Sumlin’s Days in Texas are numbered.  Ridiculousness.

Greg Poole HELL YES!   It’s time for this non-sense to stop.  The NCAA’s core mission statement does not apply as long as they continue to allow such exponentially different policy’s among its member institutions…  PERIOD!

  60. BahitsDawg

DawgDaddy Greg Poole I wonder if he put a crack in that floor when he lost control of it.

  61. AlphaDawg

dsw61 Reddawg13 AlphaDawg Greg Poole The pattern is we win at home, we don’t do hot elsewhere

  62. AlphaDawg

Dawgnation4 AlphaDawg Greg Poole I don’t think a coach would be on UGA staff long if they caused 2 decommits and continued to dig a deeper hole. I’m not sure where Sumlin was during this. He should have called his assistant and told him to get the heck off twitter. Or Heck call I.T. and have them lock his phone!!

  63. dsw61

Greg Poole I like the idea of providing the players with some added incentive to work hard during the off season and fall camp, by playing a nonconference power 5 team the opening game. It will expose any weaknesses and better prepare the team for conference play.

  64. Dawgnation4

AlphaDawg Greg Poole All i can say, is i am glad that is not the UGA way!

  65. Reddawg13

AlphaDawg Reddawg13 Greg Poole I want coaches who work as hard as they want the kids to work! Not coaches who just tell kids how hard to work!

  66. dsw61

    Reddawg13 AlphaDawg Greg Poole
2011 opening game against Boise State. Lost 35-21
    2012 won first five games.
2013 opening game against Clemson at Clemson. Lost 38-35.
2014 opening game against Clemson in Athens. Won 45-21.
2015 opening game against ULM in Athens. Won 51-14 in a shorten game.

  67. AlphaDawg

dsw61 AlphaDawg DawgDaddy Greg Poole I do too until they get injured. lol

  68. Reddawg13

AlphaDawg DawgDaddy Greg Poole I am holding my breath too! McBride could make early impact too and he has already strained a muscle.

  69. AlphaDawg

Reddawg13 AlphaDawg Greg Poole I agree wholeheartedly. One of my only complaints about Richt was being prepared. Too many times we looked like we have no idea we play SEC football. Like you’re saying, This will be a big test for Kirby right off the bat. I’m glad to hear him embrace it like he is.

I’ve said this here before but I’ll say it again. When I was watching the UGAvBama game in 2015 the commentator said, “Kirby Smart watched EVERY game Brian Shottenheimer has coached as an OC to prepare for this game.” I knew right then and there. I had no confidence our staff prepared like that.

  70. Reddawg13

DawgDaddy Greg Poole and that was 245 lbs! I wish they would stop this stunt!

  71. Reddawg13

AlphaDawg Greg Poole I am not saying we will win or dominate the Tar Heels opening weekend, but I firmly believe we will be a lot more prepared for that opening game than we have been in the past. I never understood having the spring and all summer to prepare and showing up flat and unprepared for the big stage!

  72. AlphaDawg

    Greg Poole CC:
As long as he can turn around the fear that most UGA fans have for opening on a big stage. We’ve been embarrassed many times on opening stages which are nationally viewed. Nothing helped the argument that “UGA is overrated” than us getting our butts handed to us in a game where media hyped UGA into this monster SEC contender.

  73. AlphaDawg

Greg Poole AlphaDawg I just got caught up on it. My comment was serious. lol I really didn’t know what happened

  74. Greg Poole

AlphaDawg  there is a link above for anyone who doesn’t know what you talking about

  75. dsw61

AlphaDawg DawgDaddy Greg Poole Kirby has said he likes HS football players who run track.

  76. dsw61

Greg Poole Probably means they got a commitment from a Class of 17 player who wears #18. Coley is the receiver’s coach so it’s likely a receiver. My guess is Mark Webb.

  77. Bansai buckeroo

Top asked the question and that’s my response to half the tweets I try and read…haha

  78. AlphaDawg

DawgDaddy Greg Poole I’m not a fan of mecole running track, but he’s an athlete and they love to compete. I just really hope something doesn’t happen because he’s in a good spot to make an impact early.

  79. DawgDaddy

Greg Poole I still am afraid one of these kids is going to hurt themselves doing this stunt.  Impressive display  but none of them really seem to control the weight at the top.

  80. DawgLink

Boy to bullfrog, “how deep is that hole?”
    Bullfrog, “knee deep.”
Boy jumps in hole and says “knee deep, hell it’s over my head.”
