  1. PTCDawg

SIAP but…another CB for JaCoby Stevens!! ready to get my hopes up on that one!!!

  2. DawgDaddy

MMCSDAWG DawgDaddy The only short one, 112.  He landed about 25′ short and rolled straight into the cup.

I am 68 and got my first last Sept.   I carried a 6.2 or so until a year and a half ago.  Degenerative arthritis in the lower 2 vertebrae causes pain and I am up to a 11+ now.

  3. rugbydawg79

Lucas Rogers Bulldawg36 Summer starts June 21 I believe- guess you are getting an early start

  4. Lucas Rogers

Reddawg13 Lucas Rogers ahh forgot about Wilson. I honestly wouldn’t mind him going back to WR since we have some depth now. Especially if they feel good about the 2017 RB class

  5. RumRunnerDoogie

Lucas Rogers Reddawg13 uga learned a few years ago u can never have enough RBs

  6. Lucas Rogers

Reddawg13 Lucas Rogers think it goes Chubb, Sony, Holyfield, Herrien then Douglas and Crowder after that

  7. Reddawg13

Lucas Rogers Reddawg13 with all the backs we have now, we could still have them all fresh all year long. unless, well I won’t jinx us, but y’all get it

  8. Reddawg13

AlphaDawg Reddawg13 Bulldawg36 no Bro I with ya on this one! we have red, black, silver and white to deal with we could have some bad azz uniforms!

  9. Lucas Rogers

Reddawg13 Good addition. He may get some carries this year depending how injury situation goes.

  10. Bulldawg36

He probably will be hungry as much as he works out!!!!! I agree with ya he will be a hard worker!!!

  11. Bulldawg36

Heck yeah man save that money!!! Nothing much! Just pondering if UGA will be wearing an alt Uni for the unc game! Hope it will be a cool one!

  12. Reddawg13

Brian Herrian may come in hungry since he had to work so hard to get here. We may be well pleased!

  13. Lucas Rogers

Bulldawg36 What’s up man! Yeah been away for a bit. Been working a ton this summer trying to save up some money

  14. Frankly

godawgs678 Regardless of the competition, I really like what I see in Herrien.  He wasn’t just good in HS, he was dominant . He has quickness in the hole, burst to get outside, and finishes runs well, always falling forward.   I think he is a legit 4 star caliber talent.

  15. dsw61

AlphaDawg Kindley moved really well at 370 lbs. It’s going to fun to see how he moves at 330 lbs.

  16. Bulldawg36

Well I hope they won’t mess with the helmet if they do- maybe they could put some stars on it like Dooley did

  17. RumRunnerDoogie

Bulldawg36 if they do wear alternate uni’s i doubt nike will throw out a uniform people have already seen

  18. RumRunnerDoogie

Reddawg13 Bulldawg36 only uniform i would consider along with uga is  mich state uni’s

  19. Bulldawg36

Now now Brooklyn- you know u find entertaining!!! Lol. I wouldn’t be no fun on those drug tablets that some people abuse- I know a few that do abuse pills brotha!!!

  20. Bulldawg36

I’m starting to wonder if we will wear a alt uniform for the kickoff classic vs the blue goats????? Hope to gawd it won’t be the power ranger one!!!!!! Hope we burned those suckas!!!

  21. Brooklyndawg

Bulldawg36 You know what amazes me, what honest to God amazes me every day, is that you have the time and unquenchable inclination, to go read on all of these fan sites, including FB, and then return to tell us how p’od they all make you. If you reach the age of 40 without getting a cerebral hemorrhage, I’ll be surprised. Get your Xanax renewed!

  22. AlphaDawg

Reddawg13 Bulldawg36 lol I thought I was fighting this topic alone. Nike needs to give us the silver britches ( if they can make crap glow in the dark for Oregon, they can follow our tradition) and get us a legit Alt Uniform with black and I’m a happy camper.

  23. Reddawg13

Bulldawg36 We have a great uniform and since I am a Bulldog through and through I will call it the best, but we could sure use some creativity and new schemes. But that is just me and this is never a popular subject.

  24. Bulldawg36

The forgotten Jake Edwards. Needs to make some noise this year. Big Sam madden hope he be ready too.

  25. Reddawg13

So, Jake Edwards apparently is not in the O line picture. But I remember him being and gym rat with a mean streak and we need help on the D line. Don’t he weigh around 280 at 6’4, that may help some.

  26. Reddawg13

MMCSDAWG AlphaDawg I wanted him really bad too. Brown can go and lose to Carter now.

  27. Bulldawg36

College spun has us ranked the 22 best uniform in the nation!! I’m getting sick& tired of these websites ranking us so low!!! We have the best uniform in the damn nation!!!!!!

DawgDaddy Congrats to your playing partner!  I’ve been playing golf for over 30 years and I am one of the few people I know with a 6 handicap that has NEVER had a freaking hole in one!  So I’m Jealous!  That’s awesome.  how long was the par 3?

  29. RumRunnerDoogie

MMCSDAWG godawgs678 yea that chubb guy didnt play big ball either, he turned out pretty decent lol

godawgs678 He lead the AAAAA division in total rushing yards, pretty sure that is decent competition!  not like he came from a A or AA team.  He has the body type, also appear to have the natural instincts from what I’ve seen.

  31. DawgDaddy

Just got in from a long day of wet golf.  I played like crud but one of my best friends had a hole in one so it was a great day one the links.

Excited to see that Herrin is a Dawg, I really expect him to be a good one.

  32. BenKellam

godawgs678 I’m happy that Holyfield will have someone to compete against. It’ll make them both better if they have to work to be the best newcomer.

  33. Brooklyndawg

BenKellam RealtorDawg (aka 10canpirate) They’re still l looking for Jimmy Hoffa’s body. GregMcEars keeps getting anonymous tips in Tweets from other SEC schools and, in his words, every tip is worth following up!

  34. godawgs678

I’m pumped about both Herrien and Holyfield. I’m going to get run out of the building for saying this, but I actually like Herrien’s tape more. Not sure what type of competition he played against though.

  35. BenKellam

RumRunnerDoogie Greg Poole BenKellam RealtorDawg (aka 10canpirate) But I’m expecting it to look like some kind of mix between a ufo and the Ritz on the inside. We need to one up and two and three up that waterfall bamas got.

  36. RumRunnerDoogie

Greg Poole BenKellam RealtorDawg (aka 10canpirate) yup, leveling the land and putting the foundation into solid ground takes longer than the steel building they are throwing up

  37. Greg Poole

BenKellam RealtorDawg (aka 10canpirate)  That foundation wall was just getting started the last time I walked by there. Once the utility and foundation work is complete the erector set will go up fast.

  38. AlphaDawg

MMCSDAWG AlphaDawg I’ll take one if someone wants to offer! Maybe I can become unbalanced for whoever offers first. lol

  39. BenKellam

RealtorDawg (aka 10canpirate) Yeah it doesn’t really look like much progress has been made. They’re just kinda playing in the dirt.

  40. dawgmum

MMCSDAWG dawgmum Bulldawg36 He seems like a really great kid. I liked it when they asked him where he got the hat and he replied, “At the store.”

dawgmum Bulldawg36 Thanks Dawgmum!  I like this kid a lot already!   liked Simmons comments about their dreams when they were young!  Not GATA and #ATD new Dawg Herrien!  We really needed this kid and I’m glad kirby and company stuck with him!

AlphaDawg Dang, Simmons is built too!  imagine a kid with his size, speed and athleticism!  Now you know why Saban was at his school when Kirby first got there with the Helicopter!

  43. Brooklyndawg

RumRunnerDoogie Greg Poole The Alfred E Neuman all Sports Memorial Hall (dedicated to McEars). Or how about, the Fran Tarkenton Coliseum. Dooley’s name is in there somewhere, is a given.

  44. Brooklyndawg

Bulldawg36 Well, they are bigger, but GS were missing way more than usual throwing up a lot of wing and a prayer shots. Maybe they thought this was a run away, playing at home as they were. Now Kerr is going to kick some big time butt.

  45. Brooklyndawg

Reddawg13 AlphaDawg Greg Poole I’m worried. Last year, Schotty was a hot mess, yet how much did Richt intercede in order to avoid calamity? Didn’t help his case to survive, but JMHO.

  46. Brooklyndawg

Greg Poole MMCSDAWG Anyone watch Golden State and Curry get beat last night against OkS, at GS. I couldn’t believe it!

  47. Brooklyndawg

Bulldawg36 Yes, one of them. We were assuredly getting burned by at least 3 kickoff returns for touches.

  48. Brooklyndawg

Greg Poole Bulldawg36 UFOs and aliens among us is real, because I read that in a lot of books from officials in high places.

  49. Brooklyndawg

Bulldawg36 What salacious reasoning. Gregg is wrong more often than ever I am!##

TtownDawg Bulldawg36 Reverse pivots and takes two steps and dunks!  no running start or anything, just pivot and dunk.

  51. RumRunnerDoogie

Bulldawg36 u might be right. I just remember the whole “oh our NTs have 60 lbs on him so he will get killed”

  52. Brooklyndawg

Bulldawg36 #36 jinxing starting even earlier this year. Can you not wait until AUGUST???!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  53. Bulldawg36

John Jenkins didn’t even start that game nor did he play much. He didn’t start coming on till the miss st game

  54. Brooklyndawg

Bulldawg36 Which was that D2 team we played last year who was supposedly lights out? If memory serves, he was bottled up real good (and I won a YOLO out it)

  55. Bulldawg36

Also all we got to do is not kick the ball to that speedy punt returner they have!

  56. Greg Poole

Brooklyndawg Every fanbase will be sure that all of the calls went against their team.

  57. Brooklyndawg

Bulldawg36 Hopefully the guys UNC lost were better than the guys UGA lost….hahaha. I’m still picking UGA to win, especially with no YOLOs.

  58. Brooklyndawg

Greg Poole It’s already making me angry. How angry? VERY ANGRY! Multiple angles from a drone and the play never turned over anyway due to insufficient evidence? Why not hire PROFESSIONAL referees in the first place, who know how to not screw up?

  59. Bulldawg36

Yep midtown… Unc still lost to sc!!!!! Unc lost some guys too!!! UGA will be ready

  60. Brooklyndawg

dsw61 ZippyMorocco ronaldo77 Greg Poole Trade you one Joe Girardi and throw in GM Cashman, from the Yankees, for probably no one. Hey, Joe has won twice as many games as Fredi (and they’re both in last place). Doesn’t seem that long ago that both clubs were waging historical battles for the WS. Sad…..

  61. Bulldawg36

Heck yeah MMCS! I truly believe he will be ready to stuff some some sec rb’s

AlphaDawg Spin off the OG and get up in the air!  Makes it hard for the QB to get the ball into the passing lane!   I have always said I wanted this kid more so than D. Brown and I’m excited to see what he does during his time at UGA.  He will be needed sooner rather than later on the DL for sure!

  63. RumRunnerDoogie

Bulldawg36 im just saying a lot of us thought john jenkins was going to man handle the 280 lb center for boise and it ended up being the other way around

  64. RumRunnerDoogie

Greg Poole lol click bait head line. Was interesting because it seems pittman’s ability to recruit will be a huge factor with him. Also didnt know he plans to decide before the season

  65. dsw61

ZippyMorocco ronaldo77 Greg Poole That makes sense…since the Braves are basically a AAA team this year:)

MidtownTeacher Bulldawg36 Not saying your wrong by any means and we could lose this game by all means…  I just can’t get the total lack of run defense that UNC displayed last year and I don’t see their defense being stronger this season based on recruiting and attrition.  They gave up 645 yards rushing to Baylor in the bowl game and Baylor was playing their 4-5th string QB due to the top 3 being injured.   They also gave up 300 yds rushing to Duke???  If UNC can’t stop the run, then time of possession and field position will be dictated by UGA and that is why I favor the Dawgs.

The Clemson game IMO was a trap game for Clemson and in past years they would have probably lost, they didn’t.  I also look back at the first game last year against a Pitiful USCe team, UNC didn’t look prepared in that game and couldn’t put the ball i the end zone.  They do have a new starting QB on offense this season as well, he only has a few attempts to his credit.

  67. MidtownTeacher

Bulldawg36 No way.  I think it will be UNC that wins.  I hate to say it, but Pittman won’t have had a chance to mold the O-line, lots of defensive suspensions, a new QB, Chubb not back and an extremely veteran UNC team that gave Clemson all they could handle.

I believe it will be UNC 38, UGA 24

  68. Greg Poole

Here is the official announcement of kickoff time for UNC

The (13) Georgia Bulldogs will face the (19) North Carolina Tar Heels to open the 2016 college football season September 3 in the Chick-fil-A Kickoff Game in Atlanta. Kick time has been set for 5:30 p.m. EST and the game will be nationally telecast on ESPN.
The Georgia-UNC rivalry has been on hiatus for more than 40 years, but the SEC and ACC powers will continue the series for the first time since 1971. This game marks the ninth straight year the college football season has opened on a national stage in Atlanta with two powerhouse programs in a bowl-style, blockbuster game.
Georgia and North Carolina have met 30 times since 1895, the last contest a 7-3 Georgia victory. Overall, the Bulldogs hold a 16-12-2 advantage over the Tar Heels.

RumRunnerDoogie MMCSDAWG BenKellam Greg Poole From my understanding the entire state of Louisiana is pretty broke, so money might find it’s way into the system at some point! ###   If I were a LSU kid at home in Alabama on break I would be VERY careful who I hung out with!

  70. BenKellam

MMCSDAWG BenKellam RumRunnerDoogie Greg Poole The dude really screwed himself. And he can’t claim his gun was hacked either.

  71. RumRunnerDoogie

AlphaDawg MMCSDAWG BenKellam RumRunnerDoogie Greg Poole first time offender might get reduced tho

  72. RumRunnerDoogie

MMCSDAWG BenKellam RumRunnerDoogie Greg Poole probably, but its not in the state of bama so pressure shouldnt be that much of a issue

  73. AlphaDawg

MMCSDAWG BenKellam RumRunnerDoogie Greg Poole ehh I don’t know. People of LA will be looking to get one over on Bama. Anyway they can get LSU closer to the SECCG they will imo

BenKellam RumRunnerDoogie Greg Poole It will definitely be interesting to see how this GUN charge is handled by N. Saban and the Alabama gang….  I smell a serious reduction in charges coming out of no where in the near future.

  75. BenKellam

RumRunnerDoogie Greg Poole Can’t say I’m sad to see either of them suffering some.

  76. RumRunnerDoogie

ronaldo77 Greg Poole management is trying to look like they care and think they can win even though before the season everyone knew they couldnt

  77. ronaldo77

Greg Poole Seems like odd timing a little. No matter who you get right now, they will not be successful. Might as well ride him out until the season is almost done, then start fresh in the new ballpark.

I would think they would just promote Terry Pendleton or Bo Porter for the remander of the season.

  78. RumRunnerDoogie

Greg Poole if games didnt take too long to begin with…if the on field refs dont call it then so be it.

  79. Greg Poole

I’m going to the final UGA/Tech game at Turner Field tonight – Yell at me if you attend.

  80. RumRunnerDoogie

Greg Poole no surprise, doubt any manager could win with a roster filled with guys who would be in the minors on other teams

  81. Greg Poole

BenKellam Not sure if other conferences have adopted it but it is not an NCAA requirement.

  82. BenKellam

Greg Poole Why not just stop play for a couple minutes after each play and call a bunch of holding and pass interference penalties. That’ll make everyone happier right? Also is this strictly for SEC vs SEC games?

  83. Bulldawg36

Sorry but not sold on a team that got beat by the chickens…who fielded their worst team in 15 Baylor ran them off the field with a bunch of reserves

  84. RumRunnerDoogie

Bulldawg36 thats not always a good thing, not to mention that RB they have is legit

  85. Reddawg13

Greg Poole I don’t worry until I see what we do on the field, then I worry and complain, lol

  86. Reddawg13

AlphaDawg Greg Poole I am betting Kirby is heavily involved in every phase, I know his specialty is the D, but unless Mel is messing up I believe Kirby spreads himself into all phases of planning, execution, enthusiasm and correction. He won’t be standing calmly on the sideline fixing his sunglasses and hair.

  87. Reddawg13

Bulldawg36 Strong as hell for sure, if he has the footwork and a mean streak we have our man!

  88. AlphaDawg

dsw61 Greg Poole YES YES YES. Man that was the only stat I paid any attention to last season. I knew by half time if Lambert was going to get it done or not depending on 3rd down conversions, and Boy was he bad at 3rd down conversions.

  89. Greg Poole

Doc R  LOL – people along the sideline are going to be wishing they had a CEO-type when they get a sample of Smart encouragement this fall.

  90. Bulldawg36

If they would of gotten arrested in Tuscaloosa they may Of gotten away with it.U0001f601U0001f604

  91. dsw61

Greg Poole Glad all the pressure is on Tennessee this year to win. I do believe that Georgia’s 3rd down conversion rate will be better this season than last season; which was horrid. It’s basically a “no where but up” situation. Converting a few more 3rd downs will keep the Tennessee offense off the field some. If Ramsey ends up being the QB, I hope he uses his athleticism and runs every time Tennessee gives him an opening in order to keep the chains moving. Just do whatever it takes to pick up yards.

  92. RumRunnerDoogie

Greg Poole felony possession of a stolen hand gun…but hes the starting LT and future first rounder, cant process him###

  93. AlphaDawg

Greg Poole What do you guys think about this? I’m betting Kirby is still heavily involved during planning

  94. dsw61

Greg Poole Nice read. I just hope everyone isn’t getting ahead themselves when it comes to Chubb.

  95. dsw61

Greg Poole That’s a different quote than the one from the DawgNation article. I like the quote better:)

  96. BahitsAgain

Bansai buckeroo you own your own satellite?  cool!  Can I borrow some cash?

Greg Poole MMCSDAWG Me either, I believe they have a talented roster and maybe a little more depth at some positions than we do, but until I also believe Booootch is a horrible game day coach, I believe the distractions this off-season will effect them as well.  They are one injury to dobbs away from a .500  season.  Speaking of dobbs, he is not very accurate as a pocket passer and I believe teams will game plan around keeping him in the pocket and forcing him to beat them from the pocket vice scrambling.   I’m not convinced their OL is that good yet.  They are strong on the DL, but the back end of their defense is unproven.   It should be a good game, but until I see it, I’m not buying the used car butch is selling!

  98. RumRunnerDoogie

Greg Poole MMCSDAWG well, they possibly have the best QB in the conference…granted thats not saying much

Greg Poole Pretty short and sweet…  I for one don’t think it will be Jalen hurd that decides this game.  My Money is on the Chubbinators-  Retribution!

ZippyMorocco MMCSDAWG AlphaDawg Not much, just trying to get my UGA fix in before getting any real work done! lol.  You traveling this week?

  101. Greg Poole

    Let’s start worrying

  102. Greg Poole

There was some Tanner yesterday about what Kirby said in Savannah regarding running backs. Here is Jason Butt’s recounting of the quote. It leaves little room for speculation as to what Kirby meant:
“No, I don’t feel better at all,” Smart said prior to a donor function at the Desoto Hilton in Savannah. “I won’t feel better until Nick Chubb is 100 percent healthy and Sony (Michel’s) out there. We’re trying to do some things to help with the depth that we can’t talk about right now, but it just depends on how Chubb comes back, some eligibility concerns to get them qualify.”
What Smart can’t talk about, per NCAA rules, is the fact that New Manchester running back Brian Herrien is likely to sign a financial-aid agreement with Georgia during a ceremony at 2 p.m. on Tuesday. Herrien, who ran for a GHSA AAAAA-best 1,970 yards in 10 games during the 2015 season, was able to accept his Georgia offer by qualify academically at the last minute.
