@dawgbyte however, being qb in high school gives one greater perspective on offense. ultimately it depends on the player and our coaches seem to like akers so i put him, but my feeling in pouring the list together is that rb is where we are least likely to meet our needs and that is worrisome in a position of high need.

  2. CLTDawg

RumRunnerDoogie CLTDawg Jags defense could look really nasty, really fast. They signed that D lineman from Denver, they’ll be getting last year’s first round pick who missed the season with a knee, Dante Fowler, potentially Josh Norman…and all the rumors are they are targeting one of my favorite players in this year’s draft Myles Jack out of UCLA. That is a shot in the arm for Gus Bradley’s defense right there.

  3. CLTDawg

RumRunnerDoogie CLTDawg Jags have the most cap space in the league right now at close to 53 mil. If it turns into a bidding war, they’ll land him. 49ers are very close behind that, though.

  4. RumRunnerDoogie

CLTDawg RumRunnerDoogie idk how much cap space they have, u know who signs him will have to put up a huge contract

  5. CLTDawg

Backwudz CLTDawg I know that, but he’s small for a D end too, especially in Kirby’s scheme where he’s going to be asked to set the edge.

  6. RumRunnerDoogie

websater RumRunnerDoogie if he get him vols will hate smart even more than before lol

  7. WillieWalden

I would substitute Aj Terrell for Gibbs or put Gibbs at wr.. Brian Robinson for Akers.. I too like true running backs over converted qbs..

  8. DawgByte

BahitsDawg After this picture was taken the quickly changed their names to ‘ The Pickle Smokers’.

  9. DawgByte

Avon Barksdale My two biggest areas of concern behind the QB position are our trenches on both sides. More specifically I’m concerned about the size/strength of the DL. I don’t think TT is All SEC material yet. He’s got the potential and one of the quickest moves to the backfield I’ve seen in a while, but he’s got to demonstrate consistency. He needs to listen to Rocker and want it.

MidtownTeacher Great list! I would prefer Toneil Carter over Cam Akers, because Carter is true RB and not a converted QB. I’d put Trey Sermon right there as well.

Been awhile since I put together a wish list, but with Smart at the help and so much hype for Georgia, I think we can think big again and so here is a 2017 wish list:

    Offense
    Quarterback
Jake Fromm – better than Lambert or Ramsey.  Surprised coaches could get him with Eason

    Running Back
    Cam Akers
    D’Andre Swift

    Wide Receiver
    Nico Collins
    Jeremiah Holloman

    Tight End
    No one

    Offensive Line
    Netori Johnson
    Justin Shaffer
    D’Antne Demery
    Tony Gray
    Andrew Thomas

    Defense

    Corner Back
    William Poole

    DeAngelo Gibbs

    Safety
    Richard Lecounte
    Jacoby Stevens

    Linebacker
    Nate McBride
    Will Ignont
    Jaden Hunter
    Breon Dixon
Dylan Moses – not currently an option, but I think with a good season

    Defensive Tackle
    Aubrey Solomon

    Defensive End
    Robert Beal
    Malik Herring
    Markaviest Bryant

That is 24.  I hear we will take more than that for 2017, but this is a darn good class right here.  No Jacob Eason star, but a very solid overall class.

  12. Backwudz

CLTDawg Backwudz Didn’t appear that way to me, everyone gets pushed a couple of plays. Seems as if Ledbetter’s size is perfect for the position. He is not the DT or the Nose

  13. WillieWalden

Sermon to Oklahoma??? Where did that come from.. Could be a good sign on some other backs..

  14. MMCSDAWG

BenKellam MMCSDAWG Pretty sure we are both right and I’m glad it doesn’t mean Tech!  lol!   The GT on the mustang stands for Grand Touring or Grand Tourismo…  I was the proud owner of Ford’s first GT specific model Mustang, the 1965 Mustang GT- which came with the 289 HP V-8 and the GT package which include a 5-dial instrument panel and true dual exhaust.   Hope you find what your looking for!

You’re probably right but the games I saw him play.. I find it hard to fathom that’s he’s better on defense than offense.. Dude is seriously as explosive as Antonio brown from the steelers or has that type of potential.. I get the size thing but every now and then there’s an exception to the rule and I think he is .. He’s a player that you will have to double every play and couple that with a strong running game and other elite talent around him and it’s scary.. I think coaches from other teams are hoping he ends up on defense because I know they don’t wanna have to game plan for this guy on offense

  17. CLTDawg

Backwudz I dunno…Ledbetter was getting pushed around pretty good at GDay. Still looks small.

BenKellam Ditto on the 3.5″, can’t find anything larger on the internet, including Amazon.
