What’s up lads?!
Piggybacking on a topic that came up in Bill King’s recent article… it appears Kirby wants us to kick-off seasons by scheduling tougher and more interesting opponents. FWIW, I agree! This topic always seems to garner a lot of opinions and ideas. Many Georgia fans think we should put Clemson on our schedule every year. I’m not one of them. Back in the 80’s we played a few games against UCLA. I’d like to see us schedule a PAC-12 team every year in an East meets West showdown. Perhaps start with Stanford, then go to Cal, UCLA, Oregon and USC. I’d also like to see us play Texas, Oklahoma or a Mich for one game during the season – every once in a while.

MMCSDAWG
Greg Poole Dawg porn right there! Exactly what I was pontificating about earlier with Eason against UNC! I liked seeing the video the other day of Eason getting some work with a coach under center working on his play-action technique!!
Bulldawg36 Jason should start. He’s confident and has the arm that can throw short, long or hand off to the best RB’s in College Football. It’s a Non-Conference game anyhow and we’ll win, but it’s the opportunity to get the experience. Why Wait? Lambert has had his chance and it’s not good enough. Give the young QB the ball and let’s score some touchdowns. GO DAWGS
Bulldawg36
Thanks fella
Bulldawg36
Not a bad idea.. The video isn’t really funny. People who love Star Wars are who enjoy it the most
Greg Poole Bulldawg36 Me either??? I didn’t want to look stupid or un-informed! lol!
AlphaDawg
Bulldawg36 I cracked a smirk.
Greg Poole
Bulldawg36 No idea what your talking about
dsw61
Bulldawg36 I will also add that there is far greater room for Eason to improve his football IQ, than Lambert has room to improve his mobility; which is relatively fixed.
dsw61
Bulldawg36 If Kirby starts Lambert, he will be starting the least mobile QB on the roster…after stating multiple times he prefers QBs who are mobile and can run. Kirby knows first hand that good defenses can shut down Georgia’s offense with Lambert at QB…he did last year at Bama. It will be interesting if Lambert’s football IQ mesmerizes the new staff like it did the old staff…because that’s likely his only advantage over Eason and Ramsey. I hope Kirby telling Lambert he needs to be more mobile is his way of preparing Lambert for the possibility that he may not be the starter this year. It’s not like Lambert can do a whole lot about his mobility at this point…he’s never going to be able to improve his mobility to the point where defenses worry about his running ability…and I suspect both he and Kirby know that.
Bulldawg36
What’s yalls opinion on the woman wearing the chewbacca mask and laughing? I don’t thinks it’s funny but a lot of people do.
Bulldawg36 We are definitely getting bigger at all positions, including WR! I like his size! Pair him up with Woerner in the Redzone and you have some big receivers out on routes!
Bulldawg36
I like xavier Jenkins! He is a big fast WR!!! He wants to be best buds with Eason
Bulldawg36
Man do I hope you’re right! I really don’t want to see lambert under center this season. I believe he is a great guy but not really a qb that’s gonna help you win a championship. 9 games sure.
MMCSDAWG
ZippyMorocco I think we will see a little attrition for sure, I read somewhere that most are saying the 17 class will be around 24-28 players. So something definitely has to give!
ZippyMorocco
I only count 14 seniors on the roster. 3 or 4 juniors may leave early. 2017 will be a very small class unless there is some serious attrition.
MMCSDAWG
Bulldawg36 I would agree if we were still talking about the CMR regime, but we are not. Kirby wants to win this game and he wants to win this one bad, however, he isn’t under near as much pressure from the fan base as CMR would be. From everything I’ve been able to read and hear via multiple sources, I believe Kirby will pick the person he believes gives us the best chance to win and I believe that is Eason. This game could turn into a shot out, UNC can put points on the board offensively, however, their defense is very porous, so we may need to score 30-35 pts to win and I don’t believe Lambert is the best QB to achieve that task. I believe Eason showed us at G-day that he can handle the pressure better than most of us every thought he would. Can you imagine the pressure he felt when he came on that field in front of 93K+ and yet he handled it well. I know things will be different in an actual game, but I am still pretty confident in my prediction of Eason starting!
Bulldawg36
We all be very curious & axious to see When Eason takes over. I do hope it will be game one. But even Stafford didn’t take off till the auburn game. Played well enough that year to beat the chickens on the road tho!
TtownDawg
Bulldawg36 I like that, also to add to it, have Eason start the home opener and let him light it up.
MMCSDAWG
TtownDawg MMCSDAWG Bulldawg36 I expect Cheney to bring him along slowly at first, but I also expect him to take a lot more of those shots down field than what we’ve seen in the past. It fits both Kirby and Cheney’s patterns. Alabama is known for power running, but they are also the team that will run, run, run then attempt to throw one over the top.
Bulldawg36
Hope you’re right MMCS! But I think lambert will start and if he does well I only see Eason coming in for mop duty when we are up 21 in the 4th. I just believe expereince win the day when it comes to openers!!!!!!!!
MMCSDAWG
Score Check MMCSDAWG Greg Poole TeeHDawg I fully expect there to be some type of roster management in effect under Kirby. I don’t expect the same type of “Gray” shirting, but I do expect there will be some players strongly encouraged to look elsewhere to play college football. Which by the way, I don’t have a problem with. If you haven’t been able to crack the top 3 at your position and aren’t a vital part of our special teams after 2-3 years on campus. Are you really going to ever play at UGA? If your a football player you want to play football. If you would be able to play at a lessor division or team, then why would you want to stay somewhere you will never get to play? Get your education (3 years) and go play football, the sport you love at the collegiate level somewhere.

WOW!!!! So Kirby is going to copy saban’s “roster management” technique?
Good interview by Hamilton Culpepper with Mike Cavan, if y’all haven’t read it. I enjoyed reading that and I am impressed by young Mr. Hamilton (in 9th grade). Well done.
MMCSDAWG
Bulldawg36 I hope we don’t need him… I’m sticking with my long time prediction that Eason is our starter against UNC and if not, Ramsey is the wildcard. So many people have talked about getting your best players on the field and I don’t think there is any doubt that Eason is the most talented QB @UGA currently. The tandem of Cheney and Pittman will be trusted to get Eason ready and protect him with play calling and a dominating running game! Watch out once he gets settled . Hard play action fake to Sony, Eason reverse pivots rolls to his left, plants his back foot and hits a wide open WR about 45-50 yards downfield.
Bulldawg36
If we do wear alt unis for the unc game! I hope it will be a nice one!!! Don’t mess with the helmet!!!!!
Bulldawg36
Can Lambert pick apart the unc secondary? Something tells me can do enough to get us a victory in that game!!!!!
Greg Poole TeeHDawg Yeah, the only Red Shirts I see coming in the near future would be OL and QB… Kirby not going to postpone the inevitable. Either your good enough to crack the rotation/depth chart or you won’t be around 4+ years!
TeeHDawg He plays, unless he has serious trouble with the offense. Redshirt will not be the plan.
TeeHDawg
Yes. They lost a lot of one on one’s after Chubb went down. Michel can win the one on one’s but he is more effective on the perimeter.
Wilson is potentially a bigger version of Michel. It will take him time to get the plays down and to be effective in inside runs. Does he redshirt this year? Or do we give him some touches? I can see him returning kicks if we don’t redshirt him. I personally see he is a better fit a S.
MMCSDAWG
Greg Poole TeeHDawg Ditto, I want Chubb available, would like to see him hit the field during the first drive if at all possible, but no more than 6-8 carries for the game. We should be able to run on UNC. They were TERRIBLE against the run last year.
Greg Poole
TeeHDawg The key to Georgia’s running game is that (in the Richt era) most running plays were designed to get the RB in a one-on-one with a LB and have the RB beat him. When Chubb went down that ability to win the one-on-one’s went down markedly. The best evidence of it is Chubb’s incredible YAC stats.
We will know more about Georgia’s run game against UNC. I do not expect to see Chubb much, if at all. If the other backs can win their matchups, the Dawgs will be in good shape.
TeeHDawg
Re watching Gday, I think Tae Crowder makes more of an impact than we realize. He has pretty decent vision running up the middle.
TeeHDawg
Also see that Ryne Rankin and possibly Key on Brown in that same boat. I feel that Brown is the only that actually has a chance to play defense on a regular basis. And so far, that’s mainly due to depth issues.

I think he is the next Bama coach.
Greg Poole
MMCSDAWG Maybe so, I been in stadium dressing rooms – college and pro – and they are all pretty much concrete deals. I think Bama and UT have real fancy dressing rooms in their equivalents to B-M. But I can not imagine that their stadium dressing rooms are opulent – teams spend so little time in them…..
MMCSDAWG
Greg Poole MMCSDAWG Pretty sure it is a comparison deal when compared to what he had at Alabama and what Tennessee has being light years ahead of ours.

DawgLink Looks like another nail in our ADGM’s coffin! Signing a better deal would have gone a long way toward making improvements to our facilities. I hear Kirby WON”T take prospective recruits into the UGA locker room under Sanford. Kirby is Not pleased with the condition of our facilities and the IPF is only a start of what he’s looking to get improved around our program!

ATHENS, Ga. — The Georgia Bulldogs will entertain the Texas Longhorns at Stegeman Coliseum on Saturday, January 28 as part of the 2017 SEC/Big 12 Challenge. Matchups for all 10 games in the one-day challenge were announced on Tuesday by ESPN.
Georgia is 6-5 all-time against Texas. Most recently, the fourth-ranked Longhorns defeated the 16th-ranked Bulldogs, 77-71, in the opening game of the 2002-03 season as part of the Coaches vs. Cancer Classic. Georgia is 2-0 versus Texas in Athens, with wins during 1992-93 and 1997-98.
The fourth annual event matches all 10 of the Big 12 members against 10 of the 14 programs from the SEC. Each conference will host five games with the network assignments and tip times to be announced at a later date.

MMCSDAWG Greg Poole Go head Bro!

Greg Poole I am starting to realize more and more why we lost unexplained games and why we have not won a championship in a very long time. Here is what we have heard since Kirby came on board. We need to be stronger, we need to be bigger, we need to work harder, we need to understand what it takes to win championships, we need to get tougher mentally and physically, we need to realize there is more in the tank and push through, we need more talent etc. etc. Now some of that may be to hype our players, but really? I always thought we could be better than we were and now we may have answers as to why we weren’t.

Greg Poole Tennessee is getting lots of hype, and many of their fans are buying in. It will be interesting to see how Butch manages the pressure that comes with sky high expectations. I expect injuries will play a roll with many of the teams in contention for the playoff. Tennessee better hope that Dobbs and Hurd remain healthy this season.

Greg Poole Sounds like Barnhart is talking to ‘medical personnel’ not connected to UGA or the surgery. I’ve asked my ‘medical personnel…physical therapist’…wife the same question and she gives me the standard answer of ‘one year’. One year is the boiler plate answer in the medical profession for knee ligament reconstruction rehab. Chubb will be at week 31 post surgery on Firday. The last week of September will be week 49…which is the Friday before the Tennessee game.

“http://espn.go.com/espnradio/play?id=15591879,” Smart said on ESPN’s “Championship Drive” podcast. “I think pushing them to do that and pushing them harder and making them realize they can do more is a big part of our job as coaches. They’ve got to understand they can work harder than they’re currently working and they can take more reps and they can do the reps the right way at a high rate.
“Obviously, we’ve got to improve the overall talent level and depth, but more important than that, it’s going to be whether or not these guys push through the ceiling and go through what they think they can and take the roof off it and go work a little bit harder. We start up June 1 with our entire team. It’s important to have good summer workouts and meet the demands of the program.” http://espn.go.com/espnradio/play?id=15591879
SEC is still grousing about satellite camps. This is not a good look for the conference. They should keep this to themselves until they have some real opportunity to change it.
“The concerns are still there,” Sankey said in an interview with The Associated Press. “When it was a relatively small practice, it was fine. Some will argue that there’s a lot of instruction and development that occurs. Well, that may be true in some cases. But when I talk to our coaches who now have 10-15 calls a day, it starts to become an unhealthy activity.
“And it really is about recruiting. I’m hoping that if the solutions are identified by Sept. 1. We’ll certainly talk about different strategies next week that are attentive to the full scope of issues here.” http://collegefootball.ap.org/article/satellite-camps-recruiting-hoops-hot-topics-around-sec

Umm patriot… Who is Jason?
Greg Poole Rusty saying it’s gonna be hard to keep the ball out of Mecole’s hands! Where do you’ll think he starts out… on offense or defense? I still believe he starts out on Defense, but will be looked at as a return specialist early for sure and maybe a package or two on offense.
Hahahahahaha
Greg Poole This 2017 Class could be epic for DB’s!
dsw61 Bulldawg36 Excellent points DSW!
Cha Cha Cha Challenges (with apologies to David Bowie)

AlphaDawg Bulldawg36 Dang… some things you just can’t un-see.
Greg Poole Dawg porn right there! Exactly what I was pontificating about earlier with Eason against UNC! I liked seeing the video the other day of Eason getting some work with a coach under center working on his play-action technique!!
DeAngelo Gibbs
http://georgia.247sports.com/Article/peach-states-top-player-is-loving-georgia-bulldogs-45468590
GO DAWGS
Thanks fella
Not a bad idea.. The video isn’t really funny. People who love Star Wars are who enjoy it the most
Bulldawg36 http://www.techtimes.com/articles/159966/20160520/this-lady-is-really-really-excited-about-her-new-talking-chewbacca-mask.htm
Man that was a pretty play
Bulldawg36 I think I’ll remain ignorant
Alpha..post that video so they’ll know what I’m talking about
She wore that mask on YouTube laughing and it went viral. She even invited to the late late show
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OXg1buCNOwU
Greg Poole Bulldawg36 Me either??? I didn’t want to look stupid or un-informed! lol!
Bulldawg36 I cracked a smirk.
Bulldawg36 No idea what your talking about
Bulldawg36 I will also add that there is far greater room for Eason to improve his football IQ, than Lambert has room to improve his mobility; which is relatively fixed.
What’s yalls opinion on the woman wearing the chewbacca mask and laughing? I don’t thinks it’s funny but a lot of people do.
ESPN’s UGA post-spring breakdown….Chubb, Eason and other players also exist
http://www.armchairallamericans.com/a-look-at-georgias-receivers-in-2016/
I like Jeff Dantzlers article “why not us”…that’s what I was saying yesterday! He wrote that article off of my post yesterday!! ####
A look at Georgia’s wide receivers
http://www.armchairallamericans.com/a-look-at-georgias-receivers-in-2016/
Plus Javon Wims in the red zone if he qualifies!!!! Lordy I hope so!
MMCSDAWG TtownDawg Bulldawg36
Cheney was the VP. Chaney is the OC. 🙂
MMCSDAWG Bulldawg36 i think ridley is the shortest WR we signed haha
https://twitter.com/BaseballUGA/status/735157774565380096
Bulldawg36 We are definitely getting bigger at all positions, including WR! I like his size! Pair him up with Woerner in the Redzone and you have some big receivers out on routes!
I like xavier Jenkins! He is a big fast WR!!! He wants to be best buds with Eason
Man do I hope you’re right! I really don’t want to see lambert under center this season. I believe he is a great guy but not really a qb that’s gonna help you win a championship. 9 games sure.
ZippyMorocco I think we will see a little attrition for sure, I read somewhere that most are saying the 17 class will be around 24-28 players. So something definitely has to give!
I only count 14 seniors on the roster. 3 or 4 juniors may leave early. 2017 will be a very small class unless there is some serious attrition.
We all be very curious & axious to see When Eason takes over. I do hope it will be game one. But even Stafford didn’t take off till the auburn game. Played well enough that year to beat the chickens on the road tho!
Bulldawg36 I like that, also to add to it, have Eason start the home opener and let him light it up.
Hope you’re right MMCS! But I think lambert will start and if he does well I only see Eason coming in for mop duty when we are up 21 in the 4th. I just believe expereince win the day when it comes to openers!!!!!!!!
MMCSDAWG Bulldawg36 That last sentence is stuff that dreams are made of!!!
MMCSDAWG Greg Poole TeeHDawg
WOW!!!! So Kirby is going to copy saban’s “roster management” technique?
Good interview by Hamilton Culpepper with Mike Cavan, if y’all haven’t read it. I enjoyed reading that and I am impressed by young Mr. Hamilton (in 9th grade). Well done.
If we do wear alt unis for the unc game! I hope it will be a nice one!!! Don’t mess with the helmet!!!!!
Can Lambert pick apart the unc secondary? Something tells me can do enough to get us a victory in that game!!!!!
Gooooo Bulldawgs!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
We want all the OL!!!!!
http://www.hudl.com/athlete/4632098/dylan-wonnum
Another OL offer sent out…
https://twitter.com/DylanWonnum74/status/735093605115830280?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw
Greg Poole TeeHDawg Yeah, the only Red Shirts I see coming in the near future would be OL and QB… Kirby not going to postpone the inevitable. Either your good enough to crack the rotation/depth chart or you won’t be around 4+ years!
That 50-mile transfer rule (Ohio has one) is probably not a good thing. I hate for my kid to be ineligible if I moved 35 miles for a new job…
https://twitter.com/Mansell247/status/735122611622006784
TeeHDawg He plays, unless he has serious trouble with the offense. Redshirt will not be the plan.
Greg Poole TeeHDawg Ditto, I want Chubb available, would like to see him hit the field during the first drive if at all possible, but no more than 6-8 carries for the game. We should be able to run on UNC. They were TERRIBLE against the run last year.
Re watching Gday, I think Tae Crowder makes more of an impact than we realize. He has pretty decent vision running up the middle.
Also see that Ryne Rankin and possibly Key on Brown in that same boat. I feel that Brown is the only that actually has a chance to play defense on a regular basis. And so far, that’s mainly due to depth issues.
Reddawg13 DawgLink
I think he is the next Bama coach.
Greg Poole MMCSDAWG Pretty sure it is a comparison deal when compared to what he had at Alabama and what Tennessee has being light years ahead of ours.
Can’t wait till June 1st when camps start baby!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
MMCSDAWG Pretty sure I saw Mecole there after G-Day
TeeHDawg
Not much. O’Neal will be a senior and will be moving on. McGee will be a RS junior and I expect he will be encouraged to graduate and/or find another school.
I’m excited about him and Tyler Simmons especially.
We got the shaft on that deal
Can’t wait to see Riley Ridley play between the hedges baby!!!!!!!!
who really knows about these two dudes!!!
Here is a 2015 article on Georgia’s payout from Nike – a 10-year deal that began last year. UGA had incredibly poor timing or really bad negotiating.

In some old player news- Former DT Derrick Lott has signed with the Eagles

Good morning everyone

AlphaDawg Greg Poole Might get them before summers over if he camps a few places!

ZippyMorocco Morning Zippy! Good luck with the knee replacement and here’s wishing you a speedy and successful rehab after surgery!
Greg Poole Right… Let’s see how things look come November!
If we were knee hunters like them, injuries would be high for them. Bad blood for UT
Spurrier found out first hand that you watch what you say about your future at your school.
MMCSDAWG morning MMCS
Greg Poole That is “lighting his arse up” for real. lol
Greg Poole AlphaDawg I believe so
He big!! U0001f633
AlphaDawg Probably so. Didn’t Bama offer a 2020 kid last week?
Greg Poole AlphaDawg I’m betting he gets 15 offers next season
Greg Poole Those are the kinds of statements that will drive Chubb even harder, I know and have read all the “experts” opinions of his injuries, but this young man is in that elite 1% and if it’s possible for anyone to be ready come Sept, it will be Chubb!
Bulldawg Bob2 Greg Poole DawgLink Would it be shorter if he were allowed to have medically approved steroids?
AlphaDawg No question, but he starts high school in ’16 – so we’ll see how he does against those his size. A friend who has been watching football in the Augusta area for years sent his info to me – says the kid is legit.
Greg Poole Read this yesterday and reading it again today just makes my excitement level a little bit higher! I can’t wait to see what type of team takes the field come Sept. I’m not expecting a NC or anything this year, but I do want to see a team that is better prepared for our big games. Win or lose, I don’t expect to see a team that looks anything like the teams that took the field against Alabama and Florida last season!! GATA Kirby and #ATD!
Bulldawg Bob2 Greg Poole
Great to hear, Bob
Bulldawg Bob2 Greg Poole That is GREAT news BB2! let her know we are all wishing her a successful and speedy recovery!
Greg Poole AlphaDawg He’ll be dominating as an 8th grader against DBs….too easy
DawgDaddy Morning DD!
AlphaDawg ??
Greg Poole too easy
You never know how a kid will translate to high school from the 8th grade, but some of them come in with all of the physical tools.

Gooooooo Georgia Bulldawgs!!!! GATA!!!!

The last week of September will be week 49…which is the Friday before the Tennessee game.
deltonadawgThanks Deltona
DawgDaddy deltonadawg Good morning DD

deltonadawg Good morning Deltona
ZippyMorocco Good morning Zippy
Greg Poole DawgLink Aye. Most medical professionals will error on the side of caution when it comes to a prognosis as far as recovery time after surgery. A year is pretty standard fair for knee surgery to repair torn ligament(s).
F$U can’t let him go. Who else will cover up for their criminal activities
DawgLink I love the ‘medical personnel’ description of his info. However, the one year guess is what our ‘medical personnel’ (Bulldawg Bob2 ) originally said when Chubb was hurt. I think that time frame is what any doctor would say about that type of injury.
DawgLink Thank you DawgLink
Kind of ironic because all we hear is that Chubb is ahead of schedule in his recovery
I hope she responds well to treatment. Nothing but the best for Mrs. BB2
Good morning ladies and gentlemen. Hope everyone is well.
Update on Mrs. BB2. She is doing OK. Just been a rough couple of weeks starting treatment, but she is a trooper. Good news is the treatment is successful so far.
I see Greg Poole already featured the link, but Bulldawg Illustrated debuts their new magazine format today in the latest print issue – 2016 Season Preview; so, make sure you check it out. It is really nice.
It’s important to have good summer workouts and meet the demands of the program.”

1. We’ll certainly talk about different strategies next week that are attentive to the full scope of issues here.”
