Welcome to episode five of Bulldawg Illustrated Digital‘s One on One with Jeff Dantzler with special guest, Drew Butler, former All-American punter for the Georgia Bulldogs.
The son of former Bulldog and NFL kicker Kevin Butler, Drew signed with UGA in 2007 out of Peachtree Ridge High School in Duluth, GA. He played in over 43 games for the Dawgs under former head coach Mark Richt from 2007-11. In addition to being named an All-American in 2009 and 2010, Drew was unanimously named First-Team All-SEC and won the Ray Guy Award in 2009… presented each year to college football’s most outstanding punter as determined by the Augusta Sports Council. After his collegiate career, he signed with Pittsburg as an undrafted free agent in 2012 and spent 2012-16 as an NFL punter for the Steelers and the Arizona Cardinals. Drew also is the co-host of the Punt and Pass Podcast with Aaron Murray.
