It’s been a hectic couple of weeks for both college football coaches and prospective student-athletes during the recruiting contact period which started on November 30th and just ended Sunday night on December 11th. There have been a lot of miles both on asphalt and through the air as the Georgia coaching staff visited recruits all over the country. Then there have been two big back-to-back weekends in Athens as UGA hosted prospects on official visits. Today, the Bulldogs will look to see how some of that hard work has paid off as Monty Rice is set to announce his decision at approximately 12:15 p.m. ET (11:15 a.m. CT) per reports.

And the big question is will the class of 2017 inside linebacker from James Clemens High School in Madison, AL chose to go out of state to the University of Georgia? While there are no 100% guarantees when it comes to college football recruiting, as I am fond of saying, I am 95% confident that Rice will choose the Bulldogs. Of course, I’ve been wrong before, but it would be a big surprise if he were to pick another school as he has said on a number of occasions that UGA is his leader. The talented linebacker will have a busy week as he is set to graduate this Friday, December 16th. He then is expected to enroll early at the school he commits to in just a few short weeks in January.
