The Bulldogs are hosting a number of recruiting prospects this weekend as well as through the contact period in the current recruiting cycle which will last through January 29th.

Bulldawg Illustrated has confirmed that Georgia will host 2017 targets Markaviest Bryant and Brandon Henderson this weekend along with current commits Trey Blount, D’Antne Demery, Just Shaffer, D’Andre Swift, Andrew Thomas, and Mark Webb Jr. Kyle Mann, a 2020 defensive tackle out of Creekside High School from Fairburn, GA, will be taking an unofficial visit to both Georgia and Alabama this weekend. 2017 linebacker and current Alabama commit Markail Benton was scheduled to visit but is having to forgo his trip to Athens in leu of having surgery per his Twitter account.

The following weekend on the 20th, the Bulldogs already have lined up several undeclared 2017 cornerbacks to visit which include Latavious Brini, Ameer Speed, and Eric Stokes Jr as well as a South Carolina commit, Jamyest Williams. Having current defensive back commit, William Poole III on campus that weekend could help to sway one of them to come to Athens as well.

UGA will also look to try to land highly sought after 2017 wide receiver Nico Collins as he is scheduled to visit on the weekend of January 28th. Plus, keep your eye on Tedarrell Slaton who is also visiting Georgia on the 28th.

The Bulldogs currently have 23 prospects committed for the 2017 recruiting class and 6 of those are already enrolled. Early enrollees include QB Jake Fromm, DB DeAngelo Gibbs, OT D’Marcus Hayes, WR Jeremiah Holloman, DB Richard LeCounte III, and ILB Monty Rice. During Bulldawg Illustrated’s Wednesday night live recruiting chat, Lucas Rogers, Michael Pope, and Savannah Richardson all projected Georgia could sign anywhere from 26 to as many as 28 prospects with Savannah even suggesting the Bulldogs could quite possibly sign as many as 30 if things fall into place just right. Just how many commitments Georgia will take in this 2017 class is something we will have to wait and see on.
