TODAY’S FEATURED PROSPECTS

*All rankings are according to the latest 247Sports Composite Rankings*

Georgia has 19 commitments for the 2019 recruiting class with Jermaine Johnson and Tymon Mitchell being the latest additions to the group. About a month ago I published a top 10 most wanted. The Bulldogs have 5-6 spots left for 2019 and it’ll be a tight race till Early Signing Day in December. Again this list is fluid and doesn’t mean that Georgia will get these prospects. The list is just who I think is at the top of the list for the Bulldogs now for the 2019 class. With the needs for this class, these are the 10 guys I feel like are at the tops of those lists.
For now here are the 10 Most Wanted for September 14, 2018

Top 10 Most Wanted

1: Nakobe Dean: ILB, 6-0 216lbs, Horn Lake High School, Horn Lake, MS

After Owen Pappoe committed to the Auburn Tigers on May 1, Dean became the top priority. Dean is the No. 20 overall player and the No. 1 ILB in the 2019 class and is so instinctive. I expect Georgia to turn the dial to 100 on his recruitment. He’s a heck of a player and could be the next great at Georgia. Dean has an excellent opportunity to come in and compete for a spot as a freshman. He already said he likes to compete and should fit in just right for Georgia’s scheme.

2: Clay Webb: OC 6-3 295lbs, Oxford High School, Oxford, AL

According to the rankings, he ranks as the No. 16 overall player and the No. 1 OC. Webb is probably the best offensive line prospect in the class of 2019. Shoot probably the last couple of years, and yet he only holds 12 offers. Alabama is the one to beat here, but if he could go anywhere else I would expect it to be Georgia. Shoot, even Trent Smallwood told me my prediction was bold. Well, he’s staying in my predicted class and top-10 until he makes his decision. Webb has the opportunity to come into Georgia and fight for the starting spot with Lamont Gaillard graduating. However, it’ll be tough to steer him away from Alabama. He has family in both areas, and both want him to come to their school. I expect him to be a national signing day decision.

3: Tyrique Stevenson: CB 6-0.5 188lbs, Miami Southridge High School, Homestead, FL

Stevenson ranks as the No. 9 CB in the country and the No. 75 overall player. The secondary is another place that Georgia could use to add depth and Stevenson can do that and then some. Some consider him a safety but Georgia wants him because of his ability to play cornerback. He appears to have a great relationship with Mel Tucker and James Coley. Stevenson also has a strong bond with Divaad Wilson. Stevenson made the bold move and visited Georgia on July 28 when everyone expected him to go to Miami. That visit marked the fifth time Stevenson visited Athens. Miami and Georgia are two schools getting official visits as of now. The Bulldogs appeared to have made a really big push for him then and seem to have the lead for now. Look for him to return to Georgia multiple times before making his commitment, which will likely come early in the season instead of December.

4: Lewis Cine: S 6-2 180lbs, Trinity Christian School, Cedar Hill, TX

Cine is a 6-2 180-pound safety from Cedar Hill, Texas. He’s the No. 50 overall player, the No. 3 safety and the No. 7 prospect in TX. Cine is a priority for the Georgia staff. He took official visits to Penn State, Texas, and Michigan this summer already. Georgia and Florida will get the final two official visits. Cine should take his OV to Georgia on September 29 for the Tennessee game. I think shortly after his visit he could pull the trigger. A one time Penn State lean, now it looks like Georgia could have the advantage.

5: Darnell Wright: OT 6-6 320lbs, Huntington High School, Huntington, WV

Wright is a five-star 6-6 320-pound offensive tackle from West Virginia. He ranks as the No. 9 overall player, the No. 2 OT and the No. 1 prospect from WV. Georgia needs one more prospect to fill in its needs for the 2019 OL class and he could be a high prospect. Sam Pittman continues to recruit him despite him not visiting Athens yet. Tennessee and Alabama appear to be the front-runners for him, but if The Bulldogs get him on campus they have a chance to make a move. I think an official visit could happen by the end of the season.

6: Nathan Pickering: SDE

Pickering committed to Mississippi State back in June but has mentioned a few times about taking an official visit to Georgia. He ranks as the No. 49 overall player, the No. 3 SDE and the No. 3 prospect in Mississippi. The 6-3.5 286-pound lineman is the type of talent the Bulldogs could save a spot for in the 2019 class. Look for Georgia to pull out all the stops when he makes it to campus.

7: Kaiir Elam: CB  North Palm Beach, FL

Elam is a new face to the Georgia Most Wanted list, a brand new face, but he’s been on the radar. He ranks as the No. 72 overall player, the No. 7 CB and the No. 8 prospect in FL. Elam is 6-1 190 pounds. He plans on taking unofficial visits to Georgia, Florida, Ohio State and LSU. Florida holds all the advantage right now, but if Georgia misses out on Stevenson or Cine, look for the Bulldogs to push hard for this one. The Bulldogs look to sign multiple defensive backs in this class and he could be one of them.

8: DJ Daniel: CB 6-0 180lbs, GA Military College (JUCO), Milledgeville, GA

Daniel surprised a lot of people when he committed to South Carolina in August. He’s right up the road in Milledgeville, and the staff could stay on him until he signs his letter of intent. He ranks as the No. 12 overall JUCO player, the No. 3 CB and the No. 1 JUCO player in the state of Georgia. The Bulldogs need depth in the secondary, and Daniel can add that. Not to mention it would give Georgia another experienced corner. He’ll have two years of eligibility which gives Georgia time to prime other corners once JR Reed and Deandre Baker leave. Georgia’s taking just 3-4 secondary players and Daniel is one the Bulldogs very well have a shot at flipping.

9: Jammie Robinson: ATH 5-11 194lbs, Lee County, Leesburg, GA

Robinson is a sleeper in this class. He’s the No. 28 ATH and the No. 37 prospect in Georgia. Robinson currently holds 26 offers with the latest coming from Indiana. He visited South Carolina on June 2 and Auburn on March 28. Robinson quickly tweeted out his official offer to Georgia on August 11 and seems to like the Bulldogs. However, this is a priority thing with the Bulldogs. There are prospects that Georgia wants/needs more than him right now, but if those individuals go somewhere else than Georgia could come knocking.

10: Zacch Pickens: SDE 6-4.5 268lbs, T L Hanna, Anderson, SC

This is a LONG SHOT, but I want to include him in the list because if he did decide to de-commit from South Carolina, Georgia would come knocking, and fast. Pickens is the No. 18 overall player, the No. 1 SDE, and the No.1 prospect in SC. Georgia’s on the hunt for defensive linemen and already have seven commits, but if Pickens wanted in, there would be room. He was at the Georgia versus South Carolina game and saw that at Georgia it doesn’t matter if you’re good and you work hard you’ll play. A source close to me said that he didn’t look happy after the game and neither did his mom. His mom is the big influence in this process. I expect him to come to a Georgia game, and too keep an eye out on him.
