Receiver, running back, inside linebacker, outside linebacker, it does not matter. Shemar James, a 4-Star Athlete in the class of 2022, can do it all. The Faith Academy (AL) standout’s versatility is only matched by his freakish athleticism. There are some young prospects that simply look like God created them to play the game of football, and Shemar James is one of those prospects. Last Thursday, the University of Georgia offered the blue-chip player from the Yellowhammer State.

At 6’3″ 200+ pounds, James is simply a very physical and very explosive weapon for Faith Academy. James is capable of changing the game with the ball in his hands and also is capable of wreaking havoc on opposing offenses in both the middle of and on the edge of a defense. It’s unclear what position Georgia would be recruiting Shemar James to play, but if Georgia is able to recruit him to Athens, James would be a similar type player as current 2022 UGA commit CJ Washington.

The 2022 class for Georgia is absolutely loaded with athleticism! The aforementioned CJ Washington, combined with defensive backs Deyon Bouie and Marquis Groves-Killebrew are all players that make impacts on their respective teams in a variety of ways. Shemar James would continue that trend, but he would be the first 2022 class member from outside the Peach State. Alabama and Auburn are always going to be the key competitors with prospects from Alabama. Georgia will need to finish the season strong and build momentum going into the offseason with on-campus recruiting still suspended due to COVID.
