Five Recruits Bulldogs Would Love to Close With

Kirby Smart earned a huge commitment from offensive tackle Isaiah Wilson on Friday, but the Bulldogs coaches are not done recruiting yet.

The commitment of Wilson really locked down the Bulldogs offensive line class but there are still other positions of need that they need to fill. This list has the five guys that I think the Bulldogs would most like to finish off their 2017 class.

1. DT Aubrey Solomon

Solomon is an outstanding defensive tackle and he is one of the highest rated players in the country at his position. The Bulldogs are in a tough battle with Michigan and a few other SEC programs, but they are in a great position to add Solomon’s commitment.

2. ATH Deangelo Gibbs

Gibbs is a very athletic football player with the skills to play on either side of the ball at the next level, but he should play defense if he comes to Athens. Gibbs for a long time was a Tennessee/UGA battle, but Alabama seems to be trying to make a late push. This will be a tough battle but I think Smart will be able to win this one as well.

3. ILB Nate McBride

Nate McBride is one of the Bulldogs most athletic targets and could vie for some early playing time. McBride has seemed like a Georgia lean for a long time now but they will battle out Oregon for his commitment.

4. ATH Tray Bishop

Tray Bishop is a lot like Deangelo Gibbs in that he could also potentially play both sides of the ball, but should play defense as well. Bishop just recently decommitted from Auburn and his commitment should come down to the Tigers or the Bulldogs. The Bulldogs have really fought hard for Bishop and I think he has a great chance of ending up in Athens.

5. ILB Leonard Warner

Leonard Warner is an intelligent linebacker that is looking for not only a great football school but also a great academic university. Warner’s commitment to finding a great academic university has put Stanford in a great spot of landing his commitment and I believe it is a tossup between the Cardinal and the Bulldogs.

The Bulldogs already have a great recruiting class and these five players would be the icing on the cake to this elite 2017 class.
