UGA continued its recruiting resurgence on Sunday when two of the top players in the country pledged to the Dawgs’ 2017 class. Commitments by offensive tackle Andrew Thomas from Pace Academy in Atlanta and running back Toneil Carter from Langham Creek High School in Houston, TX moved Georgia’s 2017 recruiting class to second in the 247 Composite Rankings.

Coach Smart and his staff have proven that they can recruit with the best. In a few week fall camp will begin for the Bulldogs. Smart and Company will have a month to mold their current players into a team before facing North Carolina in the opener. If their coaching is on par with their recruiting, it will be an exciting fall in Athens.

Greg is closing in on 15 years writing about and photographing UGA sports. While often wrong and/or out of focus, it has been a long, strange trip full of fun and new friends.
