Jacob Eason, named Gatorade National Football Player of the Year this morning, has decided to stick with his commitment to UGA. Eason waivered slightly after Mark Richt was dismissed, but Kirby Smart was able to convince the 5-star quarterback that Athens was the best place for him to play college football.

Eason is rated as one of the top quarterback prospects for the class of 2016. He is a Top247 prospect at 247sports.com and ranked the number 1 overall pro-QB prospect for 2016. Eason is also a top ESPN300 player, currently ranked 16th best prospect in the 2016 class at ESPN.com, and he is also a top Scout100 prospect at Scout.com. UGAsports.com Rival’s also has him rated as the number one 5-star pro-QB prospect for 2016.

Jacob Eason also has been named and selected to the prestigious U.S. Army All-American Bowl Game which will be played on January 9th, 2016. Eason will enroll early in January at the University of Georgia after he plays in the U.S. Army All-American Bowl game.
