Jamyest Williams Will Transfer to Grayson for Senior Season

Jamyest Williams, a class of 2017 athlete and cornerback, announced via Twitter that he would be transferring from Archer High School to Grayson for his senior season for 2016.
 
 

 
 
Williams will join join two other division 1 FBS prospects who have already transferred to Grayson. Both Deangelo Gibbs and Breon Dixon transferred from Peachtree Ridge after the first of the year and are already enrolled in classes. Gibbs is a 2017 cornerback and has been offered by the University of Georgia. Dixon is a 2017 linebacker and is currently verbally committed to the Bulldogs. Williams also holds a scholarship offer from UGA. All three players are currently ranked as 4-star prospects by 247Sports.com’s composite ranking system.
 
 
Other players on Grayson’s roster that are currently considered division 1 FBS prospects for 2017 are linebacker Aaron Brawley, quarterback Chase Brice (currently committed ot Clemson University), defensive tackle Ellison Hubbard, offensive lineman Jalen Jackson, defensive back Demetrius Murray, and offensive lineman Will Taylor (currently committed to Duke University).
 
 
Grayson will open their 2016 high school football season at home with an out of region game versus power house IMG Academy out of Bradenton, Florida on Friday, August 26th. Kickoff is scheduled for 7:30 PM.

    66DAWGnNC  I would think it helps 66 with Dixon being at Grayson, and I would not be surprised if Gibbs is a silent commit to UGA.

    The question here is how big of a priority is Jamyest Williams for Georgia at the moment? The defensive staff seem to be favoring defensive backs that are around 6 foot tall and taller.

    Does this transfer hurt, help, or make no difference for UGA’s chances at landing JW? With BD already committed, I would think it would help UGA with both DG and JW. Just a thought.
