1. DawgByte

Brooklyndawg I understand they tried to ban squat in the 1981, but couldn’t arrive at a consensus vote.

2. Bulldawg36

Hope we are a team of steel next season!!! Go dawgs! Run the DL till they puke!!!!

3. AlphaDawg

Haha just got the email with all the replies to my sulfuric acid splatter.
It was some drain cleaner. Thought I washed it all out of the tub but not quite! Lol wasn’t bad enough to go to the ER or miss work (Bansai!) haha did stunt production in the lab though, EC.

4. CLTDawg

Bulldawg Bob2 I think the guys who will see the most time this year are Terry, Davis, Wims, Williams, IMac, and Ridley. Wildcard is Woerner and perhaps Simmons.

5. websater

Brooklyndawg lol nah there is a fencing academy next to us and there is a sick kid I believe. He is in the full get up

6. PTCDawg

Interesting, for 8 minutes chip and Seth discussed what dawgs have the potential to be first team all sec players this year and didn’t even mention the one guy that came first to my mind. If Locar is anything less than second team all sec this year I will be very surprised, and disappointed. I think he and Bellamy will be monsters.

7. RumRunnerDoogie

Brooklyndawg i thought illinois was a about yearly sweet 16 just about 10 years ago?

8. Bulldawg36

Glad you enjoyed the trip… Yeah good food there. Is it about a 3 hr drive from Peachtree city??

9. Bulldawg36

Yup. No sport but football gives me that ultimate feeling of joy. Now if UGA won it all in basketball then that would be pretty special..because Basketball is my 2nd favourite sport but it’s still a far distant from CFB.

10. Brooklyndawg

Too bad. My alma mater Illinois offers me next to nothing, while U of MD has decent bb and lacrosse teams. You are spoiled by success.

11. PTCDawg

Just a couple of days, but we stayed at the grove park inn, which was worth the drive all by itself. We ate at a place called the wicked weed, which is fortunately referring to hops rather than something else. Tried several awful craft beers and had some great food there. I could see us going back to asheville more often.

12. Bulldawg36

Yeah Asheville is a pretty nice. How long did you stay? You should of came to pelzer. I would of given you a tour of the town. Naw there is nothing to see..don’t even have a downtown. lol

13. Bulldawg Bob2

Bulldawg36 It’s there. I don’t know why it broke up Shakenneth’s name. Maybe auto correct or something.

That or we have gremlins in the commenting system again, lol .. j/k

14. PTCDawg

Was driving back from asheville last week (very cool place) and for however many times it’s been I thought of you again when I passed the pelzer sign!

15. Bulldawg Bob2

PTCDawg You are correct. Reed was the one that did transfer to Augusta State, and aye. I never heard why he transferred either.

16. MMCSDAWG

PTCDawg I have never really like Pimento cheese, but there was something about those wax paper wrapped ones at the Masters that made them taste different and better!  lol.

17. Bulldawg Bob2

AlphaDawg Hey Alpha. Hope you are OK. About 12 years ago I had a car battery explode in my face while doing some restoration work on  a 1983 Jeep CJ6; so, I know your pain.

18. converted 1981

Bulldawg36  Yes we have many and they are BIG TE’s so they should be a Big Part of the game.  So much wasted talent last year.  Felt like that group actually regressed last year.

19. PTCDawg

Bb2, was Patrick reed the guy that transferred to Augusta state or was that someone else? Odd story that I never heard an explanation to.

20. PTCDawg

Omg mmcs, you got to go repeatedly??? That is awesome!!! I am still thankful for the one time I got to go, and darn if that memory doesn’t get better every year! When part of your memory at a golf tournament includes pimento cheese sandwiches, you know it’s an awesome place!!

21. Bulldawg36

End of the day, close isn’t good enough. It’s time to win the sec at least. I know it highly unlikely this year but the east for the taking..and anything can happen if you get in the sec title game

22. converted 1981

Bulldawg36  South Cacka Lacky is historically a tough game for whatever reason.  Not many blowouts, even when there should have been.  Just always a tough place for UGA to visit.  We have our majority of Wins but still usually tough.  Now I would Love to se several large blowouts in our favor and retire moose-chimp.

23. MMCSDAWG

converted 1981 Greg Poole BahitsDawg AMEN!   Living here in Jax it was like watching a penitentiary warden operate over there in Gainesville.  I have ZERO respect for him as a coach or for the “Lord” Tebow either while we’re at it…  Can’t claim to be hollier than thou and be witness to that debauchery and Criminality and do NOTHING!

24. Bulldawg Bob2

RumRunnerDoogie AlphaDawg It’s not. DawgCast is wrong, and he apparently got that stat from The Senator.

Reggie Davis and Terry Godwin are Georgia’s leading returning receivers.

25. MMCSDAWG

ronaldo77 Should have been a TD but Tate dropped the ball.  Settled for a FG by Coutu.

26. converted 1981

Greg Poole BahitsDawg  Absolutely NO use for urband crier….  He still refuses to answer questions about covering up for and holding up a murder investigation while at HC Gey-Turds.  The Media will not hold his feet to the fire and make him respond either.

27. MMCSDAWG

ronaldo77 Pretty darn good looking Freshman QB bringing the Dawgs back from a 21 point deficit.  Charles Johnson and Paul Oliver playing some D too!

28. Bulldawg Bob2

MMCSDAWG Bulldawg Bob2 PTCDawg The only reason I know to be honest is that my ex-wife’s family were avid golfers and a couple were on some of the amateur tours.

I also cheated and have been reading up on this year’s Master’s Tournament lol.

29. ronaldo77

MMCSDAWG ronaldo77 I still remember the onside kick to start the half. I was watching the game at my high school girlfriend’s house with her parents. Good times hah

30. converted 1981

Brooklyndawg  LOVE Ocean Breezes, that’s why I moved to Florida.  Also love the Freshness of things in Athens.

31. MMCSDAWG

ronaldo77 MMCSDAWG DING DING!   Damn good game!  Been watching for a while UGA just took the lead for the first time.

32. RumRunnerDoogie

ronaldo77 MMCSDAWG ahh got confused thinking it was VT instead of WV when the sugar bowl was there

33. converted 1981

Bulldawg36  CMR was close Twice and Should have played for 1 but UGA got escrewed by the Media and dropped form 2nd to 5th place to totally obliterate Hawaii.
CKS may get us there “Soon”!

34. MMCSDAWG

Guess what I’m doing right now….  Hint, watching UGA’s last victory in the Georgia Dome.   Who and when was it?

35. MMCSDAWG

Bulldawg Bob2 PTCDawg Hey BB2…  You must know a little something about Golf to be able to name all those UGA participants!  lol.  When I was living in Ga. I never missed a Masters.  Always loved going out on Tue or Wend and following them around during practice rounds.  Honestly, I never really wanted to be there on Sat or Sun…  too crowded and limited viewing ability.

36. Bulldawg Bob2

PTCDawg I’m not the biggest golf fan or guy, but I do enjoy the Masters. I’ll definitely be pulling for Bubba and the other UGA alums; Patrick Reed, Chris Kirk, Harris English, and https://www.dawgnation.com/mens-golf/a-masters-to-remember-for-ugas-kisner, who will be participating in the field.

37. MMCSDAWG

PTCDawg Not you bro, the entire demeanor of the article…  I too look forward to the day when skin color is never raised as an issue when talking about anything!

38. Bulldawg Bob2

Bulldawg36 LOL BD36.  PTC is saying that because Huck is on board here now, it saves him from having to visit another location.

39. PTCDawg

I thought what he said was racism bs, and I stand by that. If that qualifies as defensive then so be it. Look forward to the day when skin color doesn’t drive anyone’s agenda, but it won’t be in this lifetime.

40. Bulldawg36

Greg! When you headed towards the practice fields!!! It’s getting close to that time!!!

41. CLTDawg

Brooklyndawg He did a statistical analysis of race in the “money sports” for college athletics – football and basketball – and, as is the case any time race gets brought up in any context, it made people uncomfortable/defensive/etc. Probably about all that needs to be said for a description of the post.

42. Greg Poole

That want to speed carries but don’t have many backs in 2016. You will see a different thrust to the offense with Chaney though

43. Greg Poole

Just wait until they pull Chubb or Sony after a big run and lose two yards on the next play, we’ll have to sit 8 commenters. ☺

44. Brooklyndawg

This is like following a whole different team, in my opinion as an outsider that is.

45. Dawgnation4

Greg Poole I like in the article that the IMG coach stated this is new to him on how they vetted the process and each individual player. That’s shows this staff dedication to detail!

46. Brooklyndawg

Were you on Cloud Nine when our women’s swimming and diving just won the national championship? No small accomplishment, that!

47. PatriotVeteran

Good Afternoon everyone and I have an idea on how to make
our 93K Fan Base get more involved in Recruiting, by adding a “Special Recognition
Day for those who COMMIT TO THE G”every
UGA Dawg Football Scrimmage Day – Annually. It should recognize all of our current
and future Recruits who have or will COMMIT TO THE G – on this Special Day, when
Fans, Coaches and Recruits get to mingle
and see what the upcoming season and future brings to them and UGA.

At Halftime, have a Ceremony organized to specifically give
Special Thanks and Recognition to those who will make UGA Football exciting to
watch and, the great young men and players that COMMIT TO THE G – annually.

First – Introduce those (from Class 2016) that took the initiative
and were Early Enrollees.Let the New
Recruits realize that being an EE will give them time to: Learn the Playbook,
Get Physically ready through the Conditioning Program, get adjusted to college
life and organizing their college courses and lastly, to actually play in today’s
93K – G-Day Scrimmage.

Than introduce the remaining COMMITS and WALK ON’Swho will join the Team in the Summer
(2016)and have a limited time (3-4
months) to prepare themselves for a starting job this season.Encourage future COMMITS to think about joining the EE Program in future Recruiting
Classes, so they too, can get the opportunity to participate in future G-Day’s

Second -Introduce the COMMITS for 2017, 2018 and 2019 (if any)It may encourage some who receive “Offers”
to “COMMIT TO THE G” earlier – precisely because of this “ Introduction
Ceremony for Future UGA Football Stars”.

It would also be nice to have their family join them when
being Introduced and possibly having a short “ Highlight Video” being shown on
the large stadium “TV Screen”.It’s always great to recognize those who helped
support their sons and WANTS to play for UGA.

It’s also wise to give “Special Thanks” to any future
COMMITS who voluntarily accept a Leadership responsibility for “Recruiting
other Georgia and Out-of-State Players “ to join their particular Recruiting
Class, as elite COMMITS & WALK ON players for UGA.

Recognition and getting a Special Thank You for
COMMITTING TO THE G – from a large fan base, at the first major football event
of each season (93K G-Day Scrimmage) will probably be appreciated by those
recruits that will become future stars and teammates on our UGA Football Team
and join our DawgNation. It may be
something that the recruits will never forget and are looking forward to
annually and maybe help them to COMMIT
TO THE G -earlier in their recruiting
cycle instead of waiting until later and
maybe even committing to one of our competitors.GO DAWGS

Hope I didn’t bore anyone, but I am interested in making UGA Football even more exciting than it was yesterday.

48. Brooklyndawg

Yep. We were “giving” CKS 3 years to bring in his own classes and set up his own winning tradition.

49. MMCSDAWG

AlphaDawg
Gonna get bit by that Rabid DAWG named Kirby…    That’s what’s going to happen!

50. MMCSDAWG

ZippyMorocco Just running it in aren’t ya!  I will be there one day soon!  One more kid thru College and I’m DONE!

Nice Brother!  Real Nice.

51. MMCSDAWG

Bulltoad Bansai buckeroo Definitely not alone…  I would also like to see the same thing.  it seems in the past, we have always went with one back for a complete series and maybe even 2 before getting in someone else.  I would like to see multiple backs used during the same series.  To me you greatly decrease the likely hood of injury if you replace that back after a tough 25-30 yard run, instead of turning around and handing it to him again.  I know people use the term lathered up and crap like that, but honestly, I don’t believe that.  Now if we are running a HUNH series, then I might cut them some slack.  But, otherwise, let’s rotate backs within a drive or series instead of alternating every 2nd or 3rd series…

52. Bulldawg36

Got to have great players at every position to win a national championship. Don’t know how far off we are from that

53. Brooklyndawg

NCAA doesn’t have the cajones to ban squat….IMO. Think what’ll happen is the SEC ban ends and teams go everywhere.

54. ZippyMorocco

Hey MMC

55. Brooklyndawg

Maybe a bit optimistic. May take that long to establish ‘Bama-like O-lines and have a super stud rb to replace Chubb.

56. Bulltoad

Bansai buckeroo I hope we see a change with how we handle our RB’s with Kirby and Chaney.  I would like to see us spread the load around to multiple backs and more importantly get the ball to the wideouts and tight ends so the RB’s dont take as much punishment.  RB’s only have so many carries in them and just because we take out an insurance policy does not mean we should go overboard.  I’m pretty sure Derrick Henry averaged 45 carries against AU and the SEC Championship game so we are not alone.

57. Brooklyndawg

Dang, CKS and staff are genuine madmen!!! This is absolutely like ocean breezes getting rid of all the old smell and bringing in new refreshisg air.

58. Bulldawg36

Man I hope to be on cloud 9 like the Villanova fans! UGA needs to win a National championship soon!!! One can dream can’t he?

59. Greg Poole

Brooklyndawg  Can’t remember but they should have one for the NE US.
Dialects, and the way people perceive them, are extremely interesting. I had a friend back in the day who spoke 9 separate dialects of German. He was in military intelligence.

60. Brooklyndawg

Now THAT is really funny!!! I’ve never felt the need to use that software. Do they also have settings for NY and Brooklyn accents? No wonder there’s genuine fear of AI!

61. MMCSDAWG

Greg Poole PTCDawg I left him a comment yesterday on his first one, he better get over here if he want to receive any further accolades!  lol###  Will do boss..

62. Greg Poole

PTCDawg  Y’all need to leave comments on Huck’ s posts. Let them know that we’re reading them.

63. websater

Greg Poole websater lol found out he is doing a make a wish, not gonna do that today, ill get my chance one day.

64. Greg Poole

Brooklyndawg  It usually works pretty well. Dragon wven has a setting for “Southern”

65. Brooklyndawg

Compatability of speech-to-text software for windows and southern accent is probably oxymoronic##

66. Greg Poole

Bulldawg36  I think he is saying that he no longer has to visit Huck’s site. At least, I hope that’s what he meant.

67. Frankly

Bulldawg36

59 degrees aint winter weather.  It’ll be hot for a good 5 months so I’ll take it.

68. PTCDawg

I used to have 4 must stops for my daily dosage of Dawg data, but with Huck coming on board here and the Senator promoting racism BS on his site, I am now down to 2. Will save me some time each day.
Btw, on a non-Dawg note I hope a lot of you got to follow the Jim Herman story over the weekend. A classic American sports story. Ready for this weeks tournament to get started. Go Bubba!!

69. websater

LOL Cam Newton is next to my work at some function, gonna go over there and say auburn sucks.

70. Greg Poole

BahitsDawg Yeah, except it did not address that he publically called the kid “unimpressive.”

71. BahitsDawg

Greg Poole lol, it wasn’t a terrible response.  Better than I expect from Urban.   I am sure his coaches are used to it.

72. Brooklyndawg

The original was much better. James Arness played The Thing (From Another World)…..a classic

73. Brooklyndawg

You haven’t lived untill you’d messed with a mixture of fluoric acid plus red fuming nitric acid….lol

74. Bulldawg36

The sc game will be scary for me. Only because we haven’t won there since 2008. Time to break that streak

75. Bansai buckeroo

Dang son…..you need to take care of yourself….I’m depending on ya…##…. 🙂

76. MMCSDAWG

Bulldawg36 True that…  The UTk and UF games are by far the most important, I agree.  I don’t think Vince Lombardi could do much with what Muschamp has in SC.

77. MMCSDAWG

Greg Poole He might want to stand back and deep in the box next at bat, pretty sure he might see one inside and tight on the next at bat. lol

78. Bansai buckeroo

That young man needs to take all the time he needs…his future is a stake…..I thought Gurly came back to quick…I was surprised..

79. dawgmum

Greg Poole “South Carolina is the worst team in the SEC and now could possibly have the worst coach in the conference.”
Ouch, Muschamp.

80. Bulldawg36

I don’t know it. Looks like one of those movies about people getting lost in the snow

81. DawgDaddy

Greg Poole He’s still looking in Al Capone’s vault trying to find the money.  haha

82. DawgDaddy

Greg Poole I was wondering what they were going to do with all those canned goods, I would have hated to move them.

83. BahitsDawg

MMCSDAWG AlphaDawg RumRunnerDoogie BenKellam I think college ball confused him.   He also had to protect Lambert and do what he thought fit his style.

I wonder if he would have chosen differently, if he had a Fall Camp 2015 do over.

84. Bulldawg36

Why? You should move to New York then! Just kidding my friend. I like 70-80 degree range the best

85. BahitsDawg

AlphaDawg I saw the quote on the senators site and it is worded more like our leading TE for the season.  That makes more sense…. although it still makes you want to toss Schotteinheimer from the bus.

86. MMCSDAWG

AlphaDawg RumRunnerDoogie MMCSDAWG BenKellam Right!!!  We know Shotty didn’t use the freaking TE’s!

87. AlphaDawg

RumRunnerDoogie MMCSDAWG BenKellam AlphaDawg LOL didn’t seem right to me either. You know what was a red flag for me? the TE part LOL

88. RumRunnerDoogie

MMCSDAWG RumRunnerDoogie BenKellam AlphaDawg godwin had 379 and michel had 270 so idk where he got this lol

89. BahitsDawg

BenKellam RumRunnerDoogie AlphaDawg Stats lie and liars make lying stats scream…..

90. MMCSDAWG

RumRunnerDoogie BenKellam AlphaDawg I believe they are referring to returning players…

91. BenKellam

RumRunnerDoogie BenKellam AlphaDawg Even if its talking about guys who are returning. Sony had more yards than that.

92. RumRunnerDoogie

BenKellam RumRunnerDoogie AlphaDawg mitchell had 58 catches for 865 yards and 5 TDs

93. AlphaDawg

Greg Poole MMCSDAWG Similar approach to Steve Jobs when he designed Pixar’s office. He put the bathrooms, cafeteria, and mailboxes in the center of the office so members from different departments would “bump” into each other and share new ideas

94. Bansai buckeroo

Morning Zip……scrambling this morning…pump went out on my koi pond….see you guys later..

95. MMCSDAWG

Greg Poole MMCSDAWG
I love me some Attention to Detail!  kinda what I was thinking as well.  Building a togetherness among the players and coaches.

96. Greg Poole

MMCSDAWG Attention to detail and connectedness. Let the coaches get a first-hand look at player they do not interact with daily and force the coaches into direct contect with them.

97. Bansai buckeroo

Nick Chubb is a DGD…..my kind of player…humble and hardworking….I’m talking to my wife about maybe adopting him…##..haha

98. MMCSDAWG

Greg Poole What do you think of the coaches rotation on the buses??  What’s his purpose you think?

99. Greg Poole

Smart – Nick Chubb – he is really working hard – he is an overachiever – we have to hold him back at times – I’m not concerned with him being ready for North Carolina right now.

100. Greg Poole

Smart – quarterback development – we spent 30 minutes a day just going over how to get the right number of reps for each quarterback – we’re making sure that Jacob gets used to being under center while at the same time learning the offense

101. Greg Poole

Smart – recruiting – the 2016 class key was keeping the guys that were in place – we will have to do better with in-state talent – we’re going to do everything we can to give in-state kids a chance to play for their in-state school

102. Greg Poole

Smart – staff philosophy – “Chaney’s beliefs align with mine. Multiple guy, finds a way to get playmakers the ball.”

Sees Cheney and Pittman as a team.

103. Greg Poole

Smart – as far as G-Day is concerned – “Why Not Us” – in terms of getting the 93K in Sanford

104. Greg Poole

Smart – coaches are not allowed to ride the buses to practice with their unit and they rotate units every day on the buses.

105. Greg Poole

BenKellam  960 might not appreciate that. I am going to post any interesting quotes.

106. Greg Poole

Don’t bring food to G-Day for the food bank. The organization will accept monetary donation at gate 10.

107. AlphaDawg

Greg Poole Bulltoad I’ve got a cousin who is going out for the walk on tryouts. He had to get a lot done to get qualified

108. Greg Poole

Bulltoad In-state kids with good grades get HOPE and as PWOs get access to tutoring, team meals and other programs benefits. It is a good deal for them. Especially since they get a closer look by the staff.

109. Bulltoad

Colonial Dawg AlphaDawg It looks like they are targeting some kids with Ivy league academics for the walk on program.  I saw a tweet from a local high school kid this weekend who is supposed to be going ivy league and he was up there at Saturday’s scrimmage.

110. Greg Poole

Colonial Dawg We have a segment in the podcast about the unusual number of walk-ons this year. Kirby is giving kids a shot without tying up ‘ships.

111. Colonial Dawg

AlphaDawg I think I missed one.  ‘Splain please.  PWO?  4.65 GPA???  Wow!

112. DawgDaddy

Greg Poole Good article,  but I don’t understand vertical speed, can someone explain that for me.

113. Colonial Dawg

Living in this area I had to watch the Nationals broadcast of yesterday’s game.  Those guys take “homerism” to a whole new level.  Oh, and I can’t stand Bryce Harper.  Great player, just can’t stand him.  Really like Ryan Zimmerman though.   Anyway, the Braves really had their chance to come away with a win yesterday.  The throw from Inciarte was perfect, just eluded Pierzynski.  I am hoping for a team at least a little better than last year.

114. Jesse1

Greg Poole Jesse1 Anything that puts a burr in the interlopers saddle is fine with me. And a bee in the bonnet of their better half for hitching up with stupid.

115. Greg Poole

Bulldawg36  Well, she is a Dawg but when they are not involved she has the Heels as her fallback.

116. Greg Poole

Jesse1 Looks like it may happen also. The vote to end the camps requires a 2/3 majority in FBS. – not sure the votes are there.

117. Jesse1

Greg Poole Oh the Big 2 and the little 8 or whatever, sure ain’t gonna like this. This time Sherman is going to run howling like a little girl back to O How-Low, and Meatchicken, like refugees running from the sword of General John Brown Gordon, and the long barrels of the Army of Georgia!

118. Greg Poole

If NCAA does not take action on satellite camps in meetings this week, the SEC prohibition against these camps will expire in May. Several SEC programs already making plans to hold camps:
“I know there are a number of SEC programs that are set and ready to go if it happens. We will have satellite camps outside of the state. We’re ready to go. They’re already on the calendar. We’ve got some tentative dates and locations set, so that if things go a certain way, we can be prepared to go. We’re not the only SEC team that’s doing that, too.”

http://espn.go.com/blog/ncfnation/post/_/id/126527/sec-schools-preparing-to-host-satellite-camps
