TODAY’S FEATURED PROSPECTS

If position ranking is noted, it is 247 Sports latest composite ranking of the player.

JAMES COOK

CLASS: 2018

POSITION: No. 3 RB

HT, WT: 5 foot 11.5, and 191 lbs

SCHOOL: Miami-Central High School

CITY, STATE: Miami, FL

STATUS: Undeclared

UGA OFFER: Yes, offered on 01/17/2016.

# OFFERS: 19

NEWS & NOTES: Cook was offered by Georgia at the first of last year, and fast forward to 2017, UGA found itself in his top 8. Cook visited the Dogs on April 8th and a few months later, de-committed from FSU on July 4th. After his de-commitment, he was back in Athens with his family during the weekend of July 22nd. Cook is expected to decide between UGA and FSU when he makes his final decision, but as of right now, he is a big Bulldog lean and Georgia is considered the leader here. Cook took an official visit to UGA back on Sept. 23red for Georgia’s game versus Mississippi State and had a very, very good time. Cook and Miami-Central moved to 4-1 on the season with a 23-12 win over Norland High School this past Thursday night. Next up is a road trip to Pompano Beach, FL to face Blanche Ely on Friday, October 9th.

KEVIN HARRIS

CLASS: 2019

POSITION: RB

HT, WT: 6 foot 0, and 208 lbs

SCHOOL: Bradwell Institute

CITY, STATE: Hinesville, GA

STATUS: Undeclared

UGA OFFER: No.

# OFFERS: N/A

NEWS & NOTES: Who are the top running backs in the class of 2019 in the Peach State? Kevin Harris could certainly make the claim that he should be considered to be named among them. The junior has rushed for over 1,030 yards on 166 carries and 10 touchdowns in 5 games for Bradwell Institute on the season so far; don’t have results from the Tiger’s 27-21 win this past Friday night as of yet. Next weekend, they face a tough test versus Brunswick High School on the road. Expect Harris to start getting some more attention if he continues to playing at a high level.

RONALD THOMPKINS, JR.

CLASS: 2019

POSITION: RB / WR – No. 25 Athlete

HT, WT: 5 foot 11.5, and 190 lbs

SCHOOL: Grayson High School

CITY, STATE: Loganville, GA

STATUS: Undeclared.

UGA OFFER: Yes, offered on March 25th.

# OFFERS: 12

NEWS & NOTES: Thompkins Jr. was offered back in March and then visited UGA for G-Day on 04/22/2017. He committed to the Seminoles on May 9th but then just recently de-committed from the Seminoles on September 24th after taking back-to-back visits to Georgia on September 16th and the 23rd. So, is UGA in play here? It is an interesting development as the Bulldogs have Zamir White committed at RB for 2018 and are also likely to get a commitment from James Cook. With Thompkins being a 2019 prospect, they very well could take a player like Thompkins as he has the potential to play at either RB or WR, and as we have seen, the Dogs have done a good job of spreading carries around to their tailbacks.

Grayson and Thompkins just won their 5th game of the year with a 42-16 throttling of Ramsay High School (Birmingham, AL). Next Friday, the Rams travel to Snellville, GA to take on Shiloh on October 6th.
