Thanks Rummy. Saw it on georgiadogs right after posting here. Extra day of rest would have to help Chelsea W I would think. Maybe their bats will cool a little too. Saw where they put a 10 spot on the Bruins yesterday.

  2. DawgDaddy

Jesse1 gates, viles,  plainwartigers, chickens, bees.  The order is subject to change depending on which we are playing.

  3. Bansai buckeroo

Has your wife been talking to my wife? What with these women planing trips during college football season… It’s a conspiracy I tell you a conspiracy..##

  4. Colonial Dawg

BahitsAgain Colonial Dawg  I had forgotten about that scene.  Tomorrow I’m taking a 3 iron with me!

  5. Colonial Dawg

Well, my wife is coming around!  Ever since we went on an Alaskan cruise last year she has wanted to go back.  So last night she tells me she has booked us on an Alaskan cruise leaving out of Seattle on Sept 4th and we would fly to Seattle on September 3rd.  When I hesitated she said, ok when does Georgia play?  5 or 5:30 on Sept 3rd.  So she got on the phone and got us the earliest flights she could.  We’ll get into Seattle, assuming things are on time, at 11 am their time and are staying right at the airport.  I SHOULD be able to catch the entire game!  She’s a good wife!!!

  6. haws1178

Bulldawg36 my youngest was due on the date of the first game. I told the doc if he didn’t want a cooler and screaming dawg fans in the room he might want to hurry it along or postpone it a few days lol

  7. TtownDawg

That’s a tough one , let’s see…vols, gators, tiger(s) elephants, game hens, That about sums it up for me. There are more that I dislike but those I hate equally.

  8. Jesse1

In addition to doughnut day, it’s enemy hate day. Which enemy, I know, tough question cause we have so many, do we hate the most today?

  9. Jesse1

Greg Poole Brilliant minds think alike. Especially were chocolate cake is concerned. I’ll put my circa 1850 family recipe against all challengers in the chocolate sweepstakes.

  10. Jesse1

Greg Poole Movin on up. To the Eastside. We’ve finally got our piece of the pie.

  11. Jesse1

Lucas Rogers Bulldawg36 Were one to pose a hypothetical question to a fan of the Starkville Stumpjumpers, the response would be along the lines of, “She had a bad ‘tude, and was axin for it.

  12. Jesse1

Bulldawg36 Do you really think Mullen (Jowl Boy) is gonna let that cat go anywhere else?

  13. Bulldawg36

Mississippi st is gonna allow that recruit that beat that woman on the team. MSU is getting desperate as well.

  14. Lucas Rogers

Bulldawg36 on my computer it’s only showing the picture and not the tweet lol

  15. Lucas Rogers

well that’s not what I wanted. Anyway Richard Lecounte ran a 4.44 at Mercer camp

  16. Lucas Rogers

AlphaDawg Greg Poole yeah when it turns into flag football it will be “must grab the the flag with only one hand”

  17. AlphaDawg

Greg Poole Wow, so the defensive player can’t go high, can’t go low. Literally have a batters box on the QB. Not like some of these are 300lb boys chasing a 200lb slippery QB who can dip and shift in a blink of an eye

  18. Greg Poole

Tripping violations will now be extended to ball-carriers, as those carrying the football were previously allowed to be tripped by what could be construed as non-football plays. In the past, a defensive player was allowed to use his leg to trip up a ball-carrier and not be called for a penalty. Ball-carriers will now be protected under the tripping rule applied to all other players.
Blocks below the waist are now only allowed for offensive linemen inside the tackle box. Tight ends lined up next to a tackle were previously allowed to block below the waist but will now be not allowed to do so. In addition, if a player leaves the tackle box, he cannot re-enter the tackle box and perform a block below the waist anymore.
Penalties will now be called on defensive players who are rushing unabated to the quarterback and deliver a forcible hit to the knee area or below. As long as there is no forcible contact to the knee, head or shoulder area, a defensive player is allowed to grab and wrap a quarterback to make a conventional tackle.

  19. Bulldawg36

They’re a blessing. I’m pretty sure your kids feel the same about you MMCS!!!

  20. Greg Poole

    MMCSDAWG Went this morning and that’s gonna do it. Only so many times you can shoot Jim Chaney ;-}

  21. Bulldawg36

Sc will be lucky to win 4 games. I hope we shut the birds out in Columbia. 36-0 would be great!!!

  22. MMCSDAWG

Bulldawg36 It will be GREAT!  It definitely changes your life, but I wouldn’t trade all the riches in the world for my Children!

  23. Bulldawg36

I just hope we win the east! If the fla coach in his first year can win the east than do can Kirby & company

  24. dawgathon

DawgDaddy Greg Poole Why would you want to end the UT/Bama rivalry?? Isn’t that good for us? That’s like an automatic LOSS FOR UT EVERY YEAR!!

  25. Greg Poole

Quarterback is the big question on everyone’s mind in Athens entering the season, but I suspect that freshman stud Jacob Eason will take on that starting role at some point this year. Whoever earns the starting job’s primary task will be to turn around and hand the rock off to star backs Nick Chubb, who’s returning from a knee injury, and Sony Michel. Smart should have the defense ready to go on Day 1, and if the Dawgs will run the dang ball, I like them to eclipse their total this year, partially due to talent but more so due to their schedule.

  26. dawgmum

Bulldawg36 Don’t worry; that baby wouldn’t dare be born before end of game, unless she chooses to arrive on Sept. 2nd.

  27. MMCSDAWG

Bulldawg36 Good to hear!  Hopefully everything will continue along nicely!  When’s the due date again?

  28. Bulldawg36

Thank you MMCS! She has been struggling the last couple of days with some headaches. Other than that is doing pretty well.

  29. DawgDaddy

Greg Poole Yep, swap AU and Mizzou and let Mizzou be our cross rival.  To absolute heyall with the UT/Bama rivalry, it ain’t that good anyway.  Easy peasy.

  30. Greg Poole

DawgDaddy He is getting a lot of attention from the UGA coaches and his high school coach is one of the guest coaches.

Look at his physical maturity and muscular development – he is a rising junior.

  31. Greg Poole

MMCSDAWG  Speaking of grown men, there is a brief shot of Daquan Hawkins in the video I posted a little while ago, today. He has really changed his body and looks ready to show out in ’16

  32. DawgDaddy

Greg Poole I really want him in Athens, he needs to stay out of Tallahassee and Tuscaloosa.

  33. MMCSDAWG

Bulldawg36 They are playing ball on grass BD36!  Real football is not that far away now!   How’s the Mrs doing with the pregnancy?  Lord help her with this heat!

  34. MMCSDAWG

Greg Poole Looks like a grown dang man to me…  This kid could be a sleeper that explodes on the scene late this season and next!

https://www.dawgnation.com/football/recruiting/what-we-learned-when-michigans-satellite-camp-came-down-to-georgia WHAT WE LEARNED: 10 things to know about Michigan’s satellite campThis was a Michigan camp. No doubt. There were 20-plus coaches from Ann Arbor in Atlanta on Thursday. UGA had six of its coaches or support personnel sprinkled in, but the on-field coaching was dominated by the maize and blue. The elite players were not there. The only major SEC prospects who took part in the camp were Johnson and fellow UGA commit Justin Shaffer and a few other highly-regarded teammates at Cedar Grove. Cedar Grove High School was another co-branded host of the camp. That resulted in a few other UGA commits and other major Metro Atlanta area prospects showing up to support them. The numbers tally stretched to about 275 campers. There were 42 college coaches on hand that worked the drills at the camp. There were another 18 college coaches who showed up to watch. The longest road trip came from an assistant from Oklahoma State.Don’t expect Michigan and UGA offers to come out of this camp, if any. The campers and players in attendance felt this was more of an initial “get noticed” camp which might lead to offers from lesser programs than a Georgia or a Michigan. There have already been a few offers from smaller schools that were extended at the camp. A few Cedar Grove players picked up offers out of Thursday’s camp. The media was thirsty for sound bites and any Harbaugh and Smart drama. If the nature of an event is to see great young football talent on display, this was not it. Media members dwarfed the number of future SEC talents working out.The coaches put the players through some work. The campers told DawgNation the actual drills and work they were asked to do was much tougher than a Rivals, a Nike Opening or another major camp. “We wanted this to be a true skills camp and not just an evaluation camp,” Smith said. “That was the focus all along. The boys were going to work.”Michigan planned to get those 20 coaches down to South Georgia for another camp less than four hours later.  The AJC learned that Harbaugh had a jet at his disposal to accomplish that task.Harbaugh held an impromptu press briefing at the close of the camp and posed for pictures. That just doesn’t happen anywhere elseLet’s keep these two points in the proper perspective: 1) The campers (even the UGA commits) got better as they were exposed to top-tier coaching. That’s the intent of any camp: 2) This was also a three-hour commercial in the heart of Atlanta for Michigan football.Johnson can really run at 338 pounds.

  36. AlphaDawg

Greg Poole DawgByte Netori Johnson was amazed.
“I like my future head coach now (Smart) but you can’t help but notice how Harbaugh comes to work,” he said. “That man comes out on the field and takes it over with some real force. You know who he is and where he is. I liked that about him.”

  37. AlphaDawg

Greg Poole DawgByte That was what I was worried about. Put two Alpha males in front of a bunch of kids. I don’t need them thinking Harbaugh is the bigger alpha because he’s intolerable

  38. Bansai buckeroo

The quality of those videos are impressive. Looks like they were professionally done.

  39. Greg Poole

Doc R Well see if the KirbyKrew gets involved with any of the Baylor potentials. I expect them to positionally if they have room.

  40. Doc R

Greg Poole Doc R I looked at his profile, he is 5’11”, so not big stature, but looked decent as a player

  41. Greg Poole

Doc R  I’m sure they are well aware of the goings on with Baylor and their wandering recruits. I’d be shocked to find that this group is asleep at the switch on any recruiting opportunity.

That is correct about the NLI screw-up.

  42. Greg Poole

DawgByte  I talked to Jake Reuse about it. He said that Harbaugh took it over and was the star of the show.

  43. Doc R

I read where this Duvernay kid sent his NLI to Baylor, but Baylor never processed it.  Now is null and void, if what I read is correct.  He was like the #4 WR in current class, but now he is on the market.  Looking at the Horns, but someone should put a bug in Kirby’s ear—could be a current big WR pick up

  44. Greg Poole

UGADAWGII Bansai buckeroo  Just talked a Mike Holliday, my photographer buddy, who is in OKC for the softball tourney. He said it is 74 there right now.

  45. UGADAWGII

Bansai buckeroo We are supposed to have a high of 72 degrees today here in Bigfork, Montana…. warming up!  LOL

  46. ZippyMorocco

    MMCSDAWG
The Massacre on the Plains. Tra Battle was Brandon Cox’s go to guy. LOL.

  47. MMCSDAWG

godawgs678 From everything I’ve seen and read it appears that everyone is on campus now and all the players except Catalina are currently listed in the Student Directory!  Looking good from what I’ve seen!

  48. godawgs678

so did all the freshman make it on Wednesday? Any surprises? Sorry, I haven’t been keeping up like I used to. Dang work….

  49. BahitsAgain

Reddawg13 I think the reason we have the best football players is because the kids can be outside year round.  You can’t do that in the frozen tundra….. so, why, once you have made so much progress with your body and athleticism, would you head north to the frozen tundra for 3 to 5 years of set back?

Stay in the South young football warriors!!!

  50. godawgs678

Greg Poole Looks like he’s ready to go now! The kid in the far back of the picture with the red shirt on, not so much. poor fella.

  51. MMCSDAWG

Not sure exactly how I stumbled onto it, but I’m now watching the 2006 UGA vs #5 Auburn game…  When we get to 43 days to go, the player mentioned better be #43 Tony Taylor, that kid could play some defense back in the day.  Him and T. Battle were hell on Auburn this game!

  52. Reddawg13

BahitsAgain Greg Poole Yeah, he is crunching fried chicken, fries, cornbread, hushpuppies, pork chops……..

  53. Reddawg13

Greg Poole He has to be that big, there is a lot of knowledge, coaching, personality and recruiting in there!

  54. MMCSDAWG

Greg Poole MMCSDAWG You heading back out to the camp today boss?  Liked the photos from yesterday…  Seeing our coaches on the field and young men with footballs around is getting my blood pumping again!!!

  55. Bulldawg36

He knows the south has better players- not Many guys want to be that far from home and it’s also Hard for the parents to attend the games. Harbaugh is just annoying. Remember when he slapped the lions coach in the back?lol

  56. Reddawg13

Here is what Harbaugh is saying. I can NOT win with the players in Michigan and the surrounding area so I must head south. If I was up north around Michigan I would tell him Dafuq!

  57. Bulldawg36

Harbaugh has got a long way to go…He has to prove he can beat urban first. Wisconsin will be tough for them as well

  58. MMCSDAWG

Greg Poole Until there is a penalty against the offensive player for lowering and exposing the crown of their helmet I will always have reservations and a certain amount of angst against this “Targeting” rule.   If player safety is the actual concern, then show me.  Enforce HEADS UP on both sides of the ball!

  59. Hobnailboot aka RobG

Yeah they cook pretty good and you have control over the temp. which is a HUGE plus

  60. BahitsAgain

Bulldawg36 The idiots on a morning drive in show were saying how Harbaugh  is the most relevant coach in football.   I wanted to puke.  Let him beat OSU a few times and I will say he is one of the top 5.

  61. Hobnailboot aka RobG

That’s Chaney not Pittman….btw how do you like your pellet grill

  62. BahitsAgain

Greg Poole He is big, but I think he isn’t as big as he was back in December.

  63. DawgByte

Greg Poole 4-35 against ranked opponents since 2007 and they haven’t figured out a way to beat Florida since 2004.

  64. AlphaDawg

Morning Dawgs, running a little behind. Maybe it has something to do with National Doughnut Day, maybe it doesn’t.

  65. Greg Poole

Jeb Blazevich coaching them hard at CKS camp – – – actually, he is just clowning for the camera

  66. Bansai buckeroo

Good Morning Folks…. San Fran was cool but glad to be home. This heat is something though… 20 degrees hotter here..

  67. ZippyMorocco

    Colonial Dawg ZippyMorocco
Long story, Cliff notes version. Several years ago I had my swimming pool painted with epoxy. The crew finished about 9 PM. The next morning I walked out and found a small possum stuck to the bottom of the pool.

  68. ZippyMorocco

    DawgDaddy ZippyMorocco
I may have to man up and bathe in the swimming pool.

  69. Colonial Dawg

Greg Poole Maybe they’ll go back and flag that Alabama player from 2012 for taking Aaron Murray’s head off!

  70. DawgDaddy

DawgLink must be something about those kids dressed in red &  black that makes them look like it must be targeting no matter what.

  71. Colonial Dawg

ZippyMorocco Colonial Dawg  That eagle is braver than I am!  Those possums got TEETH!

  72. DawgDaddy

ZippyMorocco we had a water main break here in Milledgeville a few weeks back.  I was without water for less than a day so I did not miss any showers.  Fortunately I play a lot of golf so I buy lots of bottled water, I had just bought 4 cases 2 days before it happened.  The stores here ran out of water quickly.

Great plan and you are right, it may be cheaper.

  73. ZippyMorocco

    DawgDaddy ZippyMorocco
I have developed a backup plan. I have a well that I use for irrigation. I will use that for toilets, and buy water to brush teeth, drink, etc. It’s probably cheaper that the water bill.

  74. ZippyMorocco

    Colonial Dawg
I saw an eagle grab a possum one day. It was heavy enough that he struggled to gain altitude.

  75. DawgLink

That would have stunk. Hawks are cool but I like my dogs more. Glad they are safe

  76. DawgDaddy

ZippyMorocco hey Zippy, good excuse to do nothing today.  Don’t want you stankin’.

  77. Colonial Dawg

Just had a strange experience walking my dogs.  I have 2 small ones, one a 20 lb Bichon/Llhasa mix and one an 8 lb Yorkie.  Walking back to the house I heard a commotion in the trees on the other side of the road and two red tailed hawks lit not 10 -15 feet from us.  They spread their wings and I knew they were eyeing my Yorkie because I have seen them get a squirrel that way.  I picked her up and actually thought they were going to try to snatch her out of my arms but they eventually flew back up into the tree.    Man, my heart was pounding!!

    ok……..Go Dawgs!!

  78. ZippyMorocco

    Greg Poole
Nothing good about this morning. I woke up yo no water. And yes, I paid the bill.

  79. Greg Poole

OKLAHOMA CITY — With inclement weather forcing the night games of the Women’s College World Series to be rescheduled for Friday, the Georgia-Auburn game will be moved to Saturday at 7 p.m. ET.

The game will still air as planned on ESPN2.

  80. RobDawg

Morning BI Dawgs. By the time you read this I’ll be in the air towards Dallas for competition. In case you didn’t know the train at ATL airport between concourses isn’t open at 4:15 am….. Have a good day and go Dawgs
