Bansai buckeroo That was their first time being a top recruiting team in decades, we knew but it just took this long to come out.

  2. RobDawg

Now I’m really concerned about the starting QB and who that is vs UNC. I was resigned that it would be Lambert and he could manage us a balanced game plan for a win. Now it looks like balance game plan may need to shift a little with two TBs in question for game time

  3. Bansai buckeroo

Well at least we know why we lost him…. Always suspected but now we know.

  4. Bansai buckeroo

The last I heard he was leaning heavy dawg. 24/7 CB shows him as foggy…after Tunsil I don’t predict anymore. So…..
    ¯_(ツ)_/¯

  5. PTCDawg

godawgs678 Godawgs, he is indeed expected to announce for the good guys. But we have seen folks we were even more sure of pull the wrong trigger so we should count no chickens. Big deal player though, #30 in the nation.

  6. godawgs678

With a 1 and a half year old, and a job that takes up way too much of my time, what is the consensus on him? Last I heard, it’s looking good for the good guys.

  7. godawgs678

SIAP, apparently a rivals 100 player is supposed to announce a commitment tomorrow. Anyone know who it is?
Not saying we’re going to get a commit. Don’t shoot the messenger! Just wondering.

  8. PatriotVeteran

Bulldawg36 They can handle the load with our OL opening holes.     Chubb will be back and UGA will have 2 games to get some experience for the new guys, who will give a 100% effort to carry the ball.       Think positive and those young men will grow up fast.     Holyfield will assume more responsibility and his genes are right for being a winner.   GO DAWGS

  9. Bansai buckeroo

Yeah, you are probably right Top…but would be fun to watch. I understand Brini has a little bro (2019) RB/ath who is suppose to be something special. You know anything about him?

  10. rugbydawg79

Bulldawg36 hey 36  as long as  we are thinking positive – how bout Mecole ?  seems his HS Coach said it would be hard not to just toss him the ball !  Go Dawgs GATA !!!!

  11. Bulldawg36

Well looks like Wilson..Herrien..Holyfield and Douglas may have to carry the load vs the Tar Heels. Still think we will pull out the victory tho.

  12. Bansai buckeroo

It’s ok…. Everyone knows we are flush at RB…###…..SMDH!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  13. Hobnailboot aka RobG

DawgDaddy Hobnailboot aka RobG Lucas Rogers LOL….I’m blind I guess

  14. Lucas Rogers

DawgDaddy Hobnailboot aka RobG Lucas Rogers yeah that hasn’t been confirmed yet. Just what I’ve seen. Also seen broken arm, but we should find out soon

  15. Lucas Rogers

Bansai buckeroo It is an average of all the sites. So if he has a perfect score it means he is ranked #1 on all sites

  16. JessCapel

1mandawgpack I agree, replacing Teague with out-of-control, non-shooter Schoeder, swapping team first Horford for me first Howard, and paying big $$ for poor shooting, non-starter Bazemore doesn’t sound like progress to me.

  17. Backwudz

Checked volnation earlier this afternoon and they already had 25 pages of Tee Higgins sadness…lol

  18. dsw61

Fun to see vol fans in melt down mood over the Tee Higgins decision. Their insiders had them all thinking he was a vol lock. Anyone who posted anything contrary to that opinion was shouted down, called a troll, and told to leave. Don’t think there’s another fan base as intolerant of other views as they are. If you don’t fall in line with their “group think” they run you off. They don’t allow any dissenting opinions…then act surprised when a recruit goes elsewhere.

  19. dirtydawgs

So you would be OK with Al and this team not going anywhere for next 5 years vs with Dwight just a 3 year contract. Al has been owned by Tristan Thompson the past 2 years in the playoffs

  20. Richmondawg

Lucas Rogers 1mandawgpack Bansai buckeroo man, we got 17″ of rain in May and June

  21. Avon Barksdale

I can’t help but think Brini knows something we don’t….he public ally announces his commitment date, then about a week later he just goes ahead and commits. I got a feeling he was told were running out of spots, maybe a silent commit (or two)?

  22. Lucas Rogers

1mandawgpack Bansai buckeroo Yeah I am in town right now, and it’s dry as could be

  23. Lucas Rogers

1mandawgpack Lucas Rogers Frankly Oh I definitely think we are in it with AJ. Especially with JAden and everyone recruiting him, but it’s still a close recruitment

  24. 1mandawgpack

Bansai buckeroo  That’s the first rain we’ve had in about 2 weeks.  It’s ridiculously dry.  However, my daughter played in a travel softball tournament in Chattanooga last weekend and they’re even more dry than us as all the grass in the medians, etc. is just completely brown.

  25. Bansai buckeroo

@1mdp…I picked my wife up at the airport yesterday and it poured in s. Atlanta…not a thing up here in Marietta…hate to see my water bill next month… 🙂

  26. 1mandawgpack

Lucas Rogers 1mandawgpack Frankly  I think UGA got one for AJ a day or two back.  We’re always in it with this staff and the way they recruit.

  27. 1mandawgpack

Bansai buckeroo  I’ve been getting out and doing a single project every day from about 9am to about noon.  After that, it’s too hot and I’m too worn out to do anything else.  Yard is starting to look good, though.  It wasn’t quite as hot this morning, but we had a 15 minute pop-up t-storm in Buckhead last night that made the humidity even more unbearable than it already was.

  28. 1mandawgpack

I recently read where the Hawks made yet another move that won’t improve the team.  Have agreed to a huge, long-term contract with an unproductive, over-the-hill Dwight howard and let Al Horford go to make room.  Coach Bud is a great coach but doesn’t seem to really know how to manage player personnel in that role.

  29. Lucas Rogers

1mandawgpack Frankly Gibbs could play WR. That idea has been thrown around a lot. He’ll still be a battle with TN. Jamyest grew up an Athens kid, but I know he likes Clemson a lot too. AJ is a battle still and some believe UGA is in 2nd or 3rd for him.

  30. Bansai buckeroo

It’s too hot to cut the grass for those of you who might be as stupid as me……

  31. JaxDawg

We better get two or all three of the above haha, hope this commit doesn’t change anything

  32. 1mandawgpack

Frankly  I know many of you don’t like to read the AJC (I shared your sentiments for a long time, but actually think they’ve gotten much better recently) and an article posted this morning actually addresses this very topic.  They seem to think that if Stevens commits, he and RL would be our safties.  We would then have 2 corners committed (Pool and the most recent commit), and they seem to think that UGA would take 2 of the 3 you mention above for a total of 6 DBs.  That makes a lot of sense to me given attrition, the small class we signed last year, etc.  Also, I swear that I’ve read that Gibbs could be recruited as an ATH rather than strictly as a DB as he’s equally capable to line up and play WR.

  33. Frankly

They definitely have the experience and the only proven QB in the East but I think their overall talent is somewhat mediocre.
They should be favored but it wouldn’t surprise me at all if this year is a huge letdown.

  34. Lucas Rogers

1mandawgpack Lucas Rogers DawgLink But auburn getting WR doesn’t make sense at all

  35. Lucas Rogers

1mandawgpack Lucas Rogers DawgLink Cause they run mainly a spread. WR will get more attention have less blocking to do

  36. 1mandawgpack

Lucas Rogers 1mandawgpack DawgLink  OK – I didn’t see a bunch of 5* WR commit to the good guys when Eason committed.  For some reason, those 2 schools (plus – I think I just threw up in my mouth a little bit – the Vols) are able to attract really solid WR and I just don’t understand it.

  37. RumRunnerDoogie

Lucas Rogers kinda like cleveland and lebron, yet they welcomed him with open arms when he came back lol

  38. Frankly

So with another DB commit, does that mean we can only take one of Williams, Terrell, or Gibbs? (Assuming Stevens will be an athlete)

  39. 1mandawgpack

DawgLink  I just for the life of me don’t understand how Clemson and Auburn attract a lot of these elite WR.  I get that Clemson will have an explosive, wide-open offense this year, but then their All-American QB leaves for the NFL and I’m not so sure that Clemson is nearly as explosive without him.  On the other hand, I just don’t at all get how a WR would want to go to Auburn to play in the zone/read offense.

  40. 1mandawgpack

RumRunnerDoogie Lucas Rogers  Not sure about that.  There’s only 1 ball on the court at a time and with 3 guys who would rather shoot than pass, not sure there are enough shots to go around to keep everyone happy.

  41. DawgDaddy

Fun stat of the day.  Scout has UGA ranked 5th with our 12 recruits, gtu is well inside the top 100 at 78th with their 7 recruits.  Love it.

I hope it is ok to share the link http://www.scout.com/college/georgia/a.z?s=135&p=9&c=14&yr=2017

  42. DawgDaddy

RumRunnerDoogie you did  tell us that was the best part of the movie.  I know I will pass.

  43. DawgDaddy

BahitsDawg That is what has my granddaughter’s husband keeping quiet, UT fans realize it is everything or bust for them at this point with Booch.  Lots of talk but still nothing to show for it except a win over a bad UGA team that lost the best RB in the SECE on the 1st play of game.

I don’t think they believe in their hearts that they can do it.

  44. BahitsDawg

DawgDaddy Bansai buckeroo All or nothing for them.  If they win it all, their recruiting might improve next year, if not, the recruits see the Butch train is a joke.  Only a title might cloud their thoughts.

  45. DawgDaddy

Bansai buckeroo I keep telling that to my granddaughter’s husband, this is their year, if not it will be a while IMO.

  46. Lucas Rogers

RumRunnerDoogie Lucas Rogers yeah I don’t really much watch other than playoffs

  47. Bansai buckeroo

I smile every time the Volnuts lose a recruit… They better do it this year because their recruiting sux..

  48. RumRunnerDoogie

Lucas Rogers RumRunnerDoogie DawgLink being 5’7 200 at the time they made me literally play every position outside of QB and OL on the team… and i mean varsity games i had played all the other positions haha

  49. Lucas Rogers

RumRunnerDoogie Lucas Rogers DawgLink we had a guy like that on our team. Just got drafted in 11th round of MLB

  50. RumRunnerDoogie

Lucas Rogers RumRunnerDoogie DawgLink saved touchdowns by kicking it into the endzone huh?# haha i was the team kicker (thanks rugby) and also the RB and CB/LB….yea its confusing

  51. Lucas Rogers

RumRunnerDoogie Lucas Rogers DawgLink hey now I saved plenty of touchdowns actually. I was the fastest guy on the team lol. That’s where soccer helped

  52. Lucas Rogers

RumRunnerDoogie DawgLink actually was stretching. I got kneed in the calf and was trying to get the knot out of my calf lol

  53. Lucas Rogers

Bansai buckeroo If no one ahead of us gets any commits and Andrew Thomas, Robert Beal, and Toneil Carter commit then it would put us ahead of Bama at #2

  54. RumRunnerDoogie

Bansai buckeroo be ranked as high as the hangover u had after going to saint simons

  55. Bansai buckeroo

Sooo……what will we be ranked by the end of the week if the above is true…any guesses?

  56. RumRunnerDoogie

best part of the whole movie, appropriate for today, im sure u old timers lived like this back in the day 😉 (greg) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ao0vXBJqODE

if u look close u can see Lucas Rogers  with a telescope looking in the window

  59. DawgDaddy

DawgLink Kid must be color blind, leaves one ugly orange for another ugly orange.  lol

  61. DawgDaddy

Lucas Rogers But they were so happy to get commits from 8 3* guys after there big Nothing Sucks Like a Big Orange night!  haha

  62. PTCDawg

DawgLink any article that has the phrase ‘spurns tennessee’ in its title is an awesome article!

  63. Lucas Rogers

TN board is fun. One guy said Butch is getting killed in recruiting this year. I love it

  64. RumRunnerDoogie

Lucas Rogers RumRunnerDoogie DawgLink kickers never get to have fun against the NFL stars, unfortunately pahokee was in my district at the time which meant i had to play against guys who are now in the NFL… i ran a 4.5 and yet they made me look slow lol

  65. Lucas Rogers

PTCDawg Lucas Rogers Yeah definitely in a good position with all of them. Zeus is gonna be a big fight to get.

  66. PTCDawg

Lucas Rogers PTCDawg Just what I wanted to hear! I noticed the other day that in the 2018 class Trevor is 1, Zamir is 4, Tyreke is 9 and Jamaree is 10. Thought how awesome it would be to have G’s next to 4 of the top 10. Wasnt sure how we looked for Tyreke.

  67. RumRunnerDoogie

Lucas Rogers RumRunnerDoogie i swear that man only eats burritos, i mean…who the hell goes to montana and gets a burrito other than him

  68. RumRunnerDoogie

Lucas Rogers DawgLink did he block ur kick?### then again i cant talk i had to play pahokee and cover janoris jenkins…that ended well

  69. Lucas Rogers

PTCDawg Lucas Rogers Right in the middle of things. He has always loved UGA. I can remember him constantly tweeting about Georgia 2 years ago.

  70. PTCDawg

Lucas Rogers happy 4th Lucas! What is your feeling about our chances with Tyreke Johnson? Are we right in the middle of it or are we on the outside looking in?

  71. Lucas Rogers

PTCDawg Hobnailboot aka RobG Greg Poole IMO I see Trevor deciding in July and picking the Dawgs

  72. ZippyMorocco

    Jesse1
I haveca mug that says it all. What part of Europe are you from? The part whose azz we saved, or the part whose azz we kicked ?

  73. PTCDawg

Greg Poole DawgLink I hope one of them is Jacoby because he is the biggest fish I am the least confident about.

  74. DawgDaddy

Bansai buckeroo morning Bb, I think you will know a lot about Brini before he leaves Athens.

  75. DawgDaddy

Greg Poole He can make his shift and go home, then finish pumping it up the next day.

  76. Greg Poole

DawgLink  I think there could be 6 announcements this month. There are commits that are waiting – this week should bring, at least, one.

  77. Bansai buckeroo

Good Morning folks and Happy 4tn….. That was a nice surprise waking up to a new commit….now I’ve got to get to work and read about this kid because I know nothing about him… Welcome to the G Mr. Brini……

  78. RumRunnerDoogie

well im awake so time to make a drink ;). other than georgia florida this is the only time before noon hahaah

  79. PTCDawg

Hobnailboot aka RobG Greg Poole My theory on the rumblings of last week goes by the initials of Trevor Lawrence. Sadly I am usually wrong.

But nice to see the word ‘they’ in Greg’s post!!! Maybe its the Salyer dessert to the Thomas announcement!!

  80. Greg Poole

2016 Nathan’s Hot Dog Eating Contest coverage on Monday
    Location: Nathan’s Famous, Brooklyn, N.Y.

    TV: ESPN

  81. Hobnailboot aka RobG

Brini committing seems a tad out of the blue to me, I know he’s a solid player just didn’t realize he was that interested in UGA……Greg Poole was this the recruit all the rumblings were about last week?

  82. Hobnailboot aka RobG

Greg Poole only if there is a steak at the end of those 4.5 miles…….I’m sticking to the coffee

  83. Greg Poole

Alright everyone up and out the door – gimme 4.5 miles in one hour – no running – hills required >>> or have another cup of coffee and catch up on the news….

  84. Jesse1

In my mailbox this morning. This is the “sanitized” version of how many in the UK still feel.
