Well, the clock has struck 1:20 AM and we are an hour and twenty minutes into Saturday, August 6th. Do you know what that means? It is only 27 days until the Bulldawgs kickoff against the Tarheels in the GA Dome on Saturday, Sept. 3rd!

  2. Bulldawg Bob2

RumRunnerDoogie Jacoby Stevens is a really good football player and DB, and he would definitely be a big get for UGA; however, I agree. The Dawgs are doing pretty darn good with LeCounte, Poole and Brini. As you mentioned, adding Gibbs to that group would make for a great DB class for 2017, and Georgia could also get 6-4, 188 lbs Dorian Hall out of Hollywood, FL out of South Broward HS.

  3. RumRunnerDoogie

Bulldawg Bob2 RumRunnerDoogie honestly losing him wouldnt bother me with lecounte, poole, and possibly gibbs

  4. Bulldawg Bob2

RumRunnerDoogie As they say, its not over till the fat lady sings, but LSU and Bama have a lot of momentum with Stevens right now.

  5. Bulldawg Bob2

converted 1981  No meaning to my knowledge.  Just Tweeting a pic of himself that one of the Rivals’ guys or gals took during one of the camps

  6. Bulldawg Bob2

LOL. Don’t know but there are a number of international students on the track and field teams.

  7. converted 1981

So Now we are taking commits from 3rd graders = 2028……. lololol. I hope this fine young man is playing in the NFL for several years when 2028 comes around. As for 2018 – looking forward to him being a DGD.

  8. haws1178

Bulldawg Bob2 if my kids see those they will surely buy it and claim its for the dog lol

  9. haws1178

RobDawg my youngest daughter bought a poop emoji hat while we were in Florida last week. I couldn’t stop laughing for a good 30 minutes

  10. haws1178

RobDawg honestly it probably won’t be the last time I use it. It should be mandatory when posting a link to an AJC article

  11. RumRunnerDoogie

Hobnailboot aka RobG RumRunnerDoogie RobDawg i think my pops was in korea when that show was on haha

  12. Hobnailboot aka RobG

RumRunnerDoogie Hobnailboot aka RobG RobDawg watched the re-runs with my pops….but I’m getting up there

  13. Hobnailboot aka RobG

RobDawg I love that show!!!, TV was definitely different back then. I remember the first season with spearchucker

  14. Bulldawg Bob2

I need one these fancy projection systems they are using for the opening ceremonies

  15. Bulldawg36

Maybe So! Don’t really matter as long as he stuffs those unc tailbacks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  16. DawgLink

Am I the only person here that thinks Bellamy looks like Derrick Henry? That picture on the article does to me

  17. Bulldawg Bob2

I guess NBC is going to do commercials every 10 minutes during the opening ceremonies

  18. RumRunnerDoogie

    Bulldawg Bob2 apparently i was off..6’6 286

  19. RumRunnerDoogie

Bulldawg Bob2 yea hes a DE size dude playing essentially a LB spot in rugby…i played the same position at 195…lol..

  20. haws1178

RumRunnerDoogie Bulldawg Bob2 I’m not saying it will translate into better play but it does seem that they have gotten the physical development part down pat

  21. RumRunnerDoogie

Bulldawg Bob2 im going to be “that guy” but im remaining hopeful since we have heard this just about every year

  22. Bulldawg Bob2

Greg has committed on the difference in the players and practices when we have talked.
Definetly different from last year and the ones of the CMR era. Just have to wait and see how that reflects and pays off on gameda, but hopefully, it means Georgia will be stronger and tougher.

  23. RumRunnerDoogie

haws1178 RumRunnerDoogie good question lol. i just know the USA has won the only 2 gold medals for olympic rugby….granted that was in the 20s.

  24. haws1178

RumRunnerDoogie Hobnailboot aka RobG haws1178 GaSoldier I remember that. That was misleading we were actually playing 4 guards because we had no tackles good enough to play

  25. haws1178

Hobnailboot aka RobG haws1178 GaSoldier this S&C staff is not playing around looks like everybody is bulked up.

  26. RumRunnerDoogie

Hobnailboot aka RobG haws1178 GaSoldier im still hesitant to get too excited about size after the whole “biggest OL in all of football” season

  27. Hobnailboot aka RobG

haws1178 Hobnailboot aka RobG GaSoldier you can tell the difference in philosophy this year from last, guys look like gladiators this year

  28. Bulldawg Bob2

dirtydawgs  He is a class of 2018 prospect. It isn’t a big deal if he pushes back his commitment or waits.

Georgia still has the lead over Clemson ATM, but the Tigers are definitely pushing for him hard. I don’t think he is postponing his commitment because of Dabo or Clemson though.

It is very possible he waits till after his junior high school football season is over to commit. A lot of prospects want to focus on their high school team and school right now.

  29. PTCDawg

when you wake up in the morning there will only be 3 saturdays left between you and kickoff!!!

  30. Bulldawg Bob2

DawgLink  Haha. Yep. And he is one of those runners that is hard for defenders to see when he gets behind those big hog mollies on the o-line.

  31. Bulldawg Bob2

Yesterday,  the morning crew had a conversation on Trevor Lawrence on when he was going to announce and why he pushed back his initial plans to announce.

I don’t he pushed back his announcement because Clemson told him to or another school for that matter. This time of year, these prospects are concentrating on getting ready for their high school football season and the start of school; so, it is not uncommon for them to push back their announcement dates and times.

I still think Georgia has the slight lead as far as his recruitment goes, but Clemson is right up there. Those are still his top two schools.

Keep in mind that 2018 is still a long way off as well.

  32. RumRunnerDoogie

JaxDawg could be good since the “experts” have said he has recently favored bama. Since they are cousins i think it adds another dynamic

  33. JaxDawg

Yea that’s good, I really want swift in this class! I start freaking out when I see someone change things up

  34. Bulldawg Bob2

JaxDawg  That is a good question JaxDawg. I don’t think it would affect D’Andre Swift.

This time of year and during school it is not uncommon for prospects to change their announcement dates and times.

  35. Bulldawg Bob2

RobDawg  Totally agree Rob. I have read there have been concerns over even the quality of the water in the pools and even water from the tap for drinking and washing, which just boggles my mind.

  36. Bulldawg Bob2

1mandawgpack Yep. In fact, this Sunday, August 7th is the Hall of Game preseason game between Green Bay and Indy at 8 PM on ESPN.

Then they’ll start on Thursday August 11th with a slew of them including the Falcons vs. Washington

  37. RobDawg

Agreed about the natural water for outdoor water events but in a pool with resources that an olympics puts on is inexcusable. Anyone who has ever owned a pool knows the chemistry can get away from you in a hurry but the Olympics pool maint guy has one job right now…. Just sayin

  38. 1mandawgpack

Bulldawg Bob2 1mandawgpack  ‘Tis almost the grandest time of year – football season.  I believe that there are some NFL pre-season games next week.

  39. DawgDaddy

DawgByte you would think his dad would have used something else as a pre-race ritual when this started.

  40. 1mandawgpack

FYI for those who may be interested.  I received a call from my buddy last night who works for the Chick-fil-a Peach Bowl and he told me he had my UGA/UNC tickets in hand and I could pick them up any time.  So, they have printed and should be going out soon.  Since I got mine directly from my buddy (as I don’t have season tickets since I moved around so much for about 10 years), I have no idea how the school will handle distribution for those of you who ordered directly from UGA.

  41. RumRunnerDoogie

RobDawg yea just saw a story where they lost the keys and had to use bolt cutters to get into the stadium today

  42. DawgDaddy

Greg Poole NC27 will be awesome this year!  I understand the 22 ranking because of the injury but we are talking Nick Chubb here.

  43. DawgDaddy

MMCSDAWG and we were 5 yards away from beating Bama and then being in a winnable MNC game in 2012.  How’d that next year work out for us?  Just sayin’.

  44. Frankly

    Bulldawg Bob2
Me! Still love the Olympics and have a good friend from Brazil so I have a lot of interest in these games.

  45. DawgDaddy

Bulldawg Bob2 What would the rule be on this?  Would he be eligible immediately at UGA were he to enroll?

  46. RobDawg

Probably watching out of extreme curiousity if they will be able to pull it off or not. I hear swimmers went to use warm up pool and it was described as turning soupy from bad water conditions

  47. Bulldawg Bob2

dawgmum Hmmmm. I thought he was still enrolled at UGA. I had heard he was going to classes, but he may have only went that summer and fall of 2014 and spring of 2015.

Maybe he will message me back.

  48. Bulldawg Bob2

OT of Georgia football and Speaking of dutchindian’s post just below, I asked this question late yesterday night, whose watching the opening ceremonies of the Rio Summer Olympics tonight?

  49. dutchindian

bulldawgbob2_BI GPoole_BI LOL. The Ugandan Football Dogs of Great Bullfighting Prowess recruit only the best. #UGA

  50. dawgmum

Bulldawg Bob2 Darn, I got my hopes up.

    According to DawgNation:
Former Georgia defensive back Rico Johnson received some good news on
Thursday when he was cleared to play football again. Johnson hasn’t been
enrolled at Georgia since 2015 and will not be rejoining the Bulldogs.

  51. Bulldawg Bob2

I see the Rico Johnson conversation below from the Morning crew. He popped the news on Twitter late yesterday afternoon just after 5 PM that he had been cleared medically to play football again.

If you don’t remember, Rico Johnson was a class of 2013 ATH and WR who committed and signed his LOI with UGA but was not able to clear the NCAA clearing house due to them not accepting a couple of his online classes. He then went to Georgia Prep Academy to get the classes he needed academically and “resigned” with Georgia for 2014, enrolling in May of ’14.

Unfortunately, he was medically DQ’d, but he remained at UGA working on his degree and working out. I messaged him last night to see if he would say what his plans were, but I haven’t heard back from him yet. I imagine his phone is “blowing up” as they say.

I just wish the man well. He has worked hard to get to college and now, to get back to playing football.

  52. DawgByte

AlphaDawg That’s like saying… “The 2017 National Championship game between Bowling Green and Brown was a real stem winder!”

  53. DawgByte

Bulldawg Bob2 DawgByte I think most people know I’m a staunch conservative and a hardcore defender of capitalism, but I’m hear to tell the world there’s a palpable reason why so many people are negatively reacting to big companies. A lot of them have lost their way. I’ll leave it at that…

  54. DawgByte

Bulldawg Bob2 On the positive side I’ve been was absolutely miserable for the past 18 months. I would drive into the company parking deck everyday, get out of my car, stop myself and take a deep breath to say “Dude, just get through the day.” That’s how bad it was!

  55. dirtydawgs

I also am not like this waiting part of it. It’s not like we’re going to have played a game prior to the season and he wants to commit before then so what’s he waiting on? I’m thinking Dabo is selling him something or making up some lies about Kirby or Chaney

  56. DawgByte

Bulldawg Bob2 As you can see below I’m ready and primed, but that’s what happens when you’ve been “downsized” or “resource optimized” and you don’t have anything else to do.

Bulldawg Bob2 I am READY!  About to head to the house as we speak!  GATA and let’s get another Freak signed up boys!  That Anderson kid is a Freak!  His wingspan is crazy!

  58. Bulldawg Bob2

Good afternoon Bulldawg Illustrated! Hope everyone has had a good week and is ready for the weekend.

  59. AlphaDawg

Greg Poole Last play is still in my top 5 of favorite moments. The feeling that WR has…lol I can’t imagine.

Reddawg13 MMCSDAWG AlphaDawg Why not NOW!  GATA Kirby and crew and let’s spank those Baby blue heels all the way back to the NC border!

  61. Reddawg13

Greg Poole Gridiron should come on here before they do their write ups, that way they can get their facts and perspective correct, just sayin!

  62. Reddawg13

AlphaDawg Now Prince William III is joining up with me and MM! “It Damn Sho Can Be Us!”

  63. Reddawg13

Greg Poole I love it! We have been compliant way to long! Compliant, “Give me ten reps” player gives ten reps and stops. Committed, “Give me ten reps” and when player gets to number ten they grit their teeth, get a stern focused look and do three more because they want championships! And that grit will show up in the 4th quarter when we need a play! I freaking love it!

  64. AlphaDawg

MidtownTeacher DawgByte AlphaDawg I guess I’m still pretty immature because my first reaction was laughing.

AlphaDawg JaxDawg My feelings as well.  Let’s see what happens in the Dome.  Remember, UNC was an onsides kick away from beating Clemson last year.

revtizzy Greg Poole LOL!!!   As long as Ole Miss’s football staff is in place and takes the field on Sept 3, Your exactly right there is NO need for a compliance department…  lol!

  67. UpStateDawg

Greg Poole I agree with you as to graduate transfers.  If I do a balancing test on that, I think the risk is low enough that it is outweighed by the interest in not interfering with a young man’s education.  Most dirty boosters won’t bother with a grad transfer because they want more (years of eligibility) for their money, i.e. an underclassman.

In regard to the underclassmen transfers, I think the coach placed restrictions work hand in hand with the sit out rule to prevent tampering, and the scales tip the other way.

Greg Poole Big difference and I love his statements about it!  Do whatever it takes! Go Dawgs and Go Kirby!

  69. AlphaDawg

JaxDawg I generally agree with that, but if he waits and UGA is successful with Chaney and shows a very productive Pro Style system, he goes to UGA.

  70. Bulldawg36

If he commits to Clem&son!! Then I’m gonna one very upset camper around here. Hell, their fans already think they’re gonna win the Natty this year

JaxDawg If Clemson is tell him to hold off, then that might come back to bite them in the arse when they see a much more dynamic pro-style UGA offense being unleashed against UNC and Nichols St.  Not sure they really want him to wait.  Kid has a lot to think about.  I don’t blame him for waiting a little.  He’s not signing his LOI for over 18 months.

  72. DawgByte

Bulldawg36 Saban has asked Finebaum to meet him in a Tuscaloosa warehouse. Now recall the scene in Casino where Joe Pesci’s character put’s that Irishman’s head in a vise.

  73. JaxDawg

True my gut is telling me he is leaning Clemson though, I think the delay is good news for them. Just a feeling

  74. Greg Poole

UpStateDawg Greg Poole  True, but no one questions the “sit out” portion. It is the restriction placed on transfers in addition to sitting out that I find difficult to rationalize.
In the case of graduate transfers, it is difficult to see how there would be a mass exodus if bright kids can transfer at will after obtaining a degree. After all, very few graduate prior to using their eligibility and the vast majority of thos that do would be ill served by transferring.

  75. UpStateDawg

Greg Poole True, but the rules have no teeth because the NCAA has no real investigative authority.  The Ole Miss/Tunsil situation is a good example that has come to light by sheer chance, but for every one of those there are probably a hundred cases of impermissible benefits given to recruits that are never uncovered.  My point is that the most significant thing keeping that conduct from spilling over beyond signing day is not the toothless tampering rules; it’s the current transfer rule requiring a player to sit out a year.  Do away with that, and a coach not only has to recruit one class per year; he would have to recruit each new class AND every man on his current roster.  I’m afraid that unintended consequence outweighs the limited instances of hardship created by the current transfer rule.

  76. Greg Poole

    JaxDawg  I’m waiting for one of your comments that predicts a positive outcome ;-}

  77. PTCDawg

Other 2018 UGA targets and their ratings…

    Trevor Lawrence, .9998
    Zamir White, .9979
    Tyreke Johnson, .9961
    Jamaree Salyer, .9948
    Derrik Allen, .9864

  78. JaxDawg

That doesn’t bode well for us. Makes me think it’s true bc he hasn’t decided and Clemson has told him to hold off

Bulldawg36 That’s right, it will come when it’s ready to, nothing you can do about it!

  80. Avon Barksdale

On a side note, how much money do you think Dean Legge has spent in the Augusta National gift shop??

  81. PTCDawg

Signal Mtn Dawg Bulldawg36 good to see some old faces popping back up on BI. Signal, you need to post more oftehn, you have been missed. Agree or not, your postings were always well done.

  82. DawgByte

Greg Poole “And at quarterback, there’s five-star wunderkind Greyson Lambert.”
Uhhhh, I think they screwed the pooch on this one!

  83. Bulldawg36

Uh oh! Finebaum slams Saban over the Smith fiasco!!! Wonder how long it will take before he apologies?

  84. Bulldawg36

Thanks. Anything helps with the baby on the way. Lol. Hope it don’t come early. My grandma thinks it will.

  85. Bulldawg36

Who’s yalls favourite media person? Greg Poole is my favourite. 2nd would dean legge and 3rd would be Jake Rowe!!

  86. Bulldawg36

I Can’t wait to head to Athens baby!!!! Give me two clapsU0001f44bU0001f3fbU0001f44f!!!!! And a Ric flair!!! Woooooooooooooo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  87. 1mandawgpack

tmdawg12   TM, Joe Burns (former GT RB) is a good friend of mine and one of the founders of the “Rising Seniors” all-star game here in Georgia.  Joe and his team do a wonderful job in the approximate week that they spend with these young men as it’s not all football.  For example, they bring in financial advisors, etc. to talk about fiscal responsibility, etc. (and not just assuming that all these young men make it to “the league”).  I also thought that the NFL offered a similar type of session for at least the players who are selected in the first couple of rounds of the draft.  However, it sickens me to see professional athletes who make millions in salary and endorsements blow it all and declare bankruptcy as that should never happen.

Greg Poole MMCSDAWG Totally agree…  Those 3 players at UTk come to mind as well.  Like we’ve both said, the issues I have are with the one sided contracts that these kids are being forced to sign without any power of negotiation or arbitration.  The schools hold all the cards and can dump these kids without cause and yet the kids have no recourse.  Unlike other sports the NFL has rules that prevent players from joining the professional ranks directly out of HS.  I would totally support forcing the schools to be obligated to 5 year scolly’s.  That is a step in the right direction.

  89. Greg Poole

Bulldawg36  I do not think he wanted to go to Miami – that was Kirby sending a message to any others thinking of transferring.

  90. Greg Poole

MMCSDAWG  There is one fix that would solve the problem for me. Give every kid a 5 year un-revokable (without cause) ‘ship. Then restricting transfers would have an equitable basis.

  91. Bulldawg36

Well no matter who’s right or wrong, Maurice won’t be coming to UGA and Turman is not going to be in Miami. Don’t know if he even wanted to go there. Why would he want to go there anyways…..richt never played him

  92. Greg Poole

MMCSDAWG  That’s one way to look at it, but players receive both cash and non-cash compensation.
The major objection that I have with transfer restrictions is that the school can cut the kid off of the ‘ship without cause at the end of each year. Yet the athlete can not leave the school without its permission.
That is what Saban said accounted for the difference between the 2 Bama players – they declined to renew the kid that transferred to Missouri.

  93. AlphaDawg

MMCSDAWG AlphaDawg Thanks. Typically those articles are overblown to those who cannot read them.

AlphaDawg Pretty ambiguous article that quotes someone with “inside” knowledge.  Nothing is directly from TL he hasn’t said anything to anybody.   He’s probably torn between the two and is going to focus on his team and I totally respect that.

  95. AlphaDawg

Signal Mtn Dawg Bulldawg36 All I care about is a standard uniform rule everyone has to follow.

Greg Poole Signal Mtn Dawg But it’s not a 2 billion dollar business, it’s just amateur athletics and the focus is on Academic excellence!

  97. UpStateDawg

Signal Mtn Dawg If there were no other factors at play apart from the student athlete, I would agree with you that Saban and CKS are both wrong and these guys should have the right to transfer at any time.  Unfortunately, there is a big ugly elephant that needs to be considered on this issue.  The SEC and NCAA have to make rules that ward off player poaching. It doesn’t take much imagination to see a world where an Auburn bag-man finds himself hanging out with the best players from Bama or UGA or any other school, and then all of a sudden the great player decides it is in his best interest to transfer to Auburn immediately.  Most people don’t think of this collateral consequence because the current rule prevents dirty boosters from wasting their time luring an athlete knowing that the school will block the transfer or the play must wait a year.  We’re kidding ourselves if we don’t think changing the rule would open up pandora’s box (and Auburn’s checkbook) for dirty recruiting.  Just food for thought.

  98. Greg Poole

Signal Mtn Dawg I agree, SMD. The implication of blocking a transfer is that the school has a claim on the players’ services. Let’s face it, if NCAA is to keep the mythical amateur status of players intact, the Association can not allow schools and conferences to exert this kind of paternalistic control.
Now, if CFB wants to actually negotiate contracts with players, that is another story.

  99. Signal Mtn Dawg

Bulldawg36 Disagree!!!!   Very rare, but disagree.    I follow the Mark Richt model on this – no restrictions on where a kid can transfer.  Life is too short and they have to sit out a year.   Only caveat is if a kid has graduated and only has one year of eligibility left, he should not have to sit out a year.   So, with that said, I think Saban and Smart are both wrong regarding the transfer situations they faced this year.   Would Saban and Smart agree to a contract that would state they could not coach at another SEC school if they are under contract at their current SEC school?  What if Saban blocked Smart from coaching at UGA… or Auburn blocking Coach Boom from coaching at USCe?

  100. AlphaDawg

Looks like Rivals has an update on TL, and looking at the reactions on twitter, it seems to be he’s delaying his decision.

  101. AlphaDawg

dawgmum Bulldawg36 I’ve got a feeling Kirby will tell him it’s in his best interests to transfer.

  102. ZippyMorocco

    dawgmum Greg Poole
He played in 2014, and was DQed during the season. So, only 2015 is a problem.

  103. dawgathon

Bulldawg36 Sometimes winning at this level requires decisions to be made like this. Sadly, the margin or error is really small.

brannon042 NOTHING…  That’s the problem.  As far as we know his charges haven’t been reduced or dropped and he’s still facing Felony charges on the BB gun issue in the dorm.

  105. dawgmum

Greg Poole dawgmum I read it was 2014. I just think it’s weird there’s not more info about this, i.e. whether he’s going to rejoin the team or not.

  106. brannon042

Hey guys I hadn’t been on in a while. Hope everyone is doing good. Quick question, I keep seeing he Free Julian Rochester comments and I was wondering what is going on with him?

  107. Greg Poole

dawgmum That’s great. He is one of the fastest players I’ve ever seen. The question I have is if NCAA will cite UGA for a violation if Georgia was at 85 scholarships in any year that he will now have to be counted? I can’t remember when he went on the medical.

  108. Bulldawg36

I agree MMCS. He’s already graduated..he should be allowed to transfer any where he wants.

  109. dawgmum

Bulldawg36 Did a little digging, and here’s what I learned (besides the fact that there are a lot of unknowns on his status):
NCAA Bylaw – Change in Circumstances.
If circumstances change and the student-athlete subsequently
practices or competes at the institution at which the incapacitating
or illness occurred, the student-athlete again shall become a
counter, and the institution shall be required to count that financial
under the limitations of this bylaw in the sport in question during each academic year in which the financial aid was received.
Long story short, he could come back to play at UGA if he is truly
cleared. If we were to do that, we would have to go back and count Rico
towards the 85 limit for each year he was medically disqualified.

Bulldawg36 For me those two cases are totally different.  The most important factor for me with regard to Mr. Smith is the fact that he has graduated from college (Alabama).  I heard someone use the excuse or statement that CFB is a business and N. Saban was simply making a sound Business decision.  There in lies the problem, it’s NOT a business in the sense that the product and the individuals that produce this product have NO rights.  The NCAA keeps preaching this model of Student Athletes with the primary goal of Academic excellence…  BS.  If that were the case then Academics would be the true focus and Academic achievement would be rewarded.   This young man has excelled academically and obtained is degree in 3 years or less, he or ANYONE in his situation should be able to go wherever they wish IMO.  The major difference between Smith and Turman is, Turman was NOT a Grad transfer.  I am not in favor of allowing student athletes to transfer at will without penalty that have not obtained the requirements for a degree, but in the case of Grad transfers, I feel those student athletes should be able to transfer without penalty at all.

  111. dawgmum

Is Rico Johnson still with the team? I saw that he is now medically eliglble to play. Is he someone we might see back between the hedges?

  112. Bulldawg36

Saban is greedy! How many titles has he won?? He should let Maurice transfer to the G. It’s all about the competitive advantage I know. I know Kirby blocked Turman but we are trying to build the program back up. We can’t allow everybody to go to Miami. For Saban losing Maurice to the sec shouldn’t be no sweat for Saban.

  113. BahitsAgain

Bulldawg36 BD36, I see you deleted that post with all the profanity.  What were you thinking????

    !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  🙂

3 out of the top 10 in GA next year already committed elsewhere!? FIRE KIRBY! /s

…. but that does kinda suck, long way to go though

  115. DawgByte

BTW – When it comes to 2017 OT’s, the best I’ve so far is Alex Leatherwood. He’s got it all, height, weight, arm length, strength and excellent technique. He’s manhandled the nations best DL in camps all spring and summer. I’d love to land that kid… he’s got day 1 starter written all over him.

DawgByte No doubt about it…  This team is bigger and stronger looking for sure!  I’m impressed!

  117. DawgByte

Greg Poole Rocker giving out some love… that’s what I like to hear. Boy Trent exploded off the line. That boy is super quick.

  118. Bulldawg36

I expect the unc coach to mimick the ole miss game plan vs Bama..they will spread us out and throw those short screens and run a hurry up to try and take advantage of our lack of depth on the DL.

  119. DawgByte

    Good morning lads!
So we’ve heard some good practice reports about Roquan Smith. I’d asked if he had bulked up at all, because when he came to UGA last year he was a bit undersized for a SEC ILB. I just saw a picture from Day 4 of practice and got my answer. Yes indeed Mr. Smith has bulked up. Bam this S&C staff is getting it done!

BahitsAgain MMCSDAWG I think it was some kind of Champions BBQ…  Half of them might get replaced with higher ups…

  121. BahitsAgain

MMCSDAWG BahitsAgain I just looked at the dates of their commits and they had a big end of June.  Did they have a camp or Elephant Night or something?

  122. BahitsAgain

I should have taken a moment to make the little guy red & black instead of UNC colors.  lol

  123. Bulldawg36

I wish Lamont Galiard could have stayed on the DL. Does anybody know where he is at In the OL rotation??!!!!

  124. BahitsAgain

AlphaDawg tmdawg12 very sad.  It is a story that is repeated over and over.  Someone needs to figure out how to convince these young men to break away from old associations and move forward with their lives.  Maybe, force all professional athletes to watch the Michael Vick story…. a Clockwork Orange style.

AlphaDawg tmdawg12 Somebody is getting a butt whooping!  You blow my money like that, I’m taking it out of your arse!

  126. dawgmum

AlphaDawg Greg Poole We just watched the last episode. Three of those guys they featured will be playing on teams we will face this year, so pay attention!

And I like the way you use the phrase “SOME bad language”. 😀

  127. Reddawg13

Bulldawg36 Atkins will be ready to play too. We are going to be fine!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  128. Bulldawg36

Well That stinks about Atkins. Very worried about the DL now. Imagine if Rochestor..Ledbetter and rivers would have gotten them selves together and concentrated on football only….then we wouldn’t be worried as much about the depth of the DL. I hope Hawkins..Julian (if not suspended for unc ) and Trent Thompson will be ready to carry the load vs unc. Having quality depth in the trenches is important….as a matter of fact it’s probably the most important thing…Bama as lived by this notion. Well their is nothing we can do about it now. We can only plays the guys we have.

  129. AlphaDawg

Doc R DawgDaddy Greg Poole If their coach gets suspended, their season will go down the drain too.

  130. AlphaDawg

Greg Poole Started Last Chance U. Just finished episode 2 last night. Very raw, reality TV. Almost like the uncensored version of Friday Night lights. If you’re okay with some bad language, it’s worth the watch.

  131. Reddawg13

Greg Poole Give me size, strength and foot work on both lines and I will give you Natty’s! This staff gets it!

  132. Reddawg13

RobDawg I was hoping for a great pro career for Murray too. I am still hoping he ends up back at UGA as QB coach. Also, I wanted the Falcons to pick up Foles.

  133. Reddawg13

ronaldo77 He is gained some great weight! His hard work in the gym, film room and at all the camps he has attended coupled with his arm, brain and athletic ability = Starter!

  134. ronaldo77

Eason is looking strong, you can tell he’s really put on some pounds since being in Athens

Greg Poole No problem Bozz!  You guys are doing a GREAT job of providing us rabid dawg fans with daily dawgy porn!

  136. RobDawg

I was hoping Aaron Murray would have smooth sailing to be backup for Chiefs but they went and signed Foles. Still pulling for the DGD to be able to keep his spot on the roster with the 5 QBs they have in camp

  137. Doc R

DawgDaddy Greg Poole I have been saying the same, as well as with Ole Miss—lost their big payroll players, don’t think they will be as good, or deep, etc

  138. Greg Poole

DawgDaddy He really is. I have been impressed with his work and his knowledge of the game. When you remember that this is his first week, it’s remarkable.

  139. Greg Poole

SEC East – 1. Georgia, 2. Tennessee, 3. Florida, 4. South Carolina, 5. Missouri, 6. Vanderbilt, 7. Kentucky.</b> Of note … Georgia and Tennessee should be the prohibitive favorites, with the Vols visiting Athens this year … I’m pretty solid on Florida in third, but the rest of the division is a toss-up for the cellar … Missouri’s defense could be pretty wicked, but the Tigers have problems scoring points.

I could be wrong here, but Tennessee and Ole Miss might be two of the most overhyped teams in America. I get it, the Vols return an abundance of starters from a team that came together during the second half of last season. But “next year” hasn’t worked out for the Vols since Phil Fulmer was head coach. This is, however, their best chance in years. Regarding the Rebels, Ole Miss plays Florida State, Alabama, Georgia, at Arkansas and at LSU before Auburn comes to Oxford on Oct. 29. I’m not sure quarterback Chad Kelly can win on his own. Throw in the shadow of potential NCAA woes and a ton of talent lost to the NFL, I wouldn’t be surprised to find the Rebels struggling to stay above .500 through October.

  140. Greg Poole

Good Morning!   I was tired when I got home from practice last night, some catching up this morning.  We’ll get some things posted in a little while
