TODAY’S FEATURED PROSPECTS

If position ranking is noted, it is 247 Sports latest composite ranking of the player.

JATAVIOUS HARRIS

CLASS: 2018

POSITION: No. 111 WR

HT, WT: 6 foot 2.5, and 176 lbs

SCHOOL: Baldwin High School

CITY, STATE: Milledgeville, GA

STATUS: COMMITTED TO TENNESSEE 04/23/2017

UGA OFFER: Yes, offered on 02/21/2017.

# OFFERS: 26

NEWS & NOTES: The Georgia coaching staff offered Harris back in February, and the talented Milledgeville wideout committed to SEC East rival Tennessee a couple of months later in April. While Harris is still committed to the Volunteers at the moment, he Tweeted out on his Twitter account a Monday after the Bulldogs’ 41-0 beatdown of UT that he was reopening his recruitment to all schools.

Harris and Baldwin are 3-2 on the year and will look for win No. 4 on tonight versus Academy of Richmond County.

KEARIS JACKSON

CLASS: 2018

POSITION: No. 25 WR

HT, WT: 5 foot 11.5, and 203 lbs

SCHOOL: Peach County High School

CITY, STATE: Fort Valley, GA

STATUS: COMMITTED TO UGA on 08/19/2017

UGA OFFER: Yes, offered on 04/25/2016

# OFFERS: 24

NEWS & NOTES: The talented Peach State receiver committed to UGA on August 19th. Jackson want burn you with 4.3 or 4.4 speed, but is quick in his routes, knows how to find spots in zone coverage, and makes the tough catches over the middle. He is a football player plain and simple is not afraid to mix it up, be physical, and fight for position and the ball.

Jackson had 2 catches for 107 yards and a TD in Peach County’s season opening win, 44-14, over Houston County, and then he had five catches for 78 yards in Peach County’s 38-35 loss to Warner Robins back on Sept. 1st, but the Trojan’s got back in the win column the following week with a 47-19 win over Perry. Peach County has added two more wins over Mary Persons and Westside on the road and got their 5th win on the season over Central last night.

ELIJAH MOORE

CLASS: 2018

POSITION: No. 41 WR

HT, WT: 5 foot 10.5, and 170 lbs

SCHOOL: Saint Thomas Aquinas High School

CITY, STATE: Fort Lauderdale, FL

STATUS: COMMITTED TO UGA 08/15/2017

UGA OFFER: Yes.

# OFFERS: 33

NEWS & NOTES: Moore has a lot of offers from major FBS programs, and when you watch his tape you can see why. While not the biggest receiver, he does a good job working out of the slot and is a dangerous punt returner, not unlike former Bulldog receiver Isaiah McKenzie in that he will make defenders miss in the open field. I think he is a better ‘catcher’ of the ball at this point in his development than McKenzie.

Moore and his St. Thomas Aquinas teammates played a tough game against Centennial last Friday and came up short 12-0, sufferring their first lost on the year to move to 3-1. Tonight, they host Deerfield Beach.

STEVEN PETERSON

CLASS: 2018

POSITION: No. 241 WR

HT, WT: 6 foot 2, and 183 lbs

SCHOOL: Harrison High School

CITY, STATE: Kennesaw, GA

STATUS: Undeclared

UGA OFFER: Yes, PWO offer on August 26th.

# OFFERS: 2

NEWS & NOTES: I put Peterson in my top-10 class of 2018 wide receivers in the Peach State list back in March. As a junior, he caught a whopping 81 passes for 1,362 yards and 16 touchdowns and is one of 2018 QB Justin Fields go to receivers at Harrison. In the Hoyas’ first two games, Peterson has caught 9 passes for 226 yards and 4 touchdowns. He has an offer from Air Force, some interest from other schools, but other than that, no major scholarship offers as of yet. Georgia has offered him as a preferred walk-on. He is one of the better route runners that I have seen out of this 2018 crop of WRs and is not afraid to get physical. Hard worker on and off the field. On the year. Peterson has caught 20 balls for 563 yards and 9 touchdowns in 5 games.

The Hoyas host Sprayberry tonight and look to get win No. 4 on the year.
