TODAY’S FEATURED PROSPECTS

If position ranking is noted, it is 247 Sports latest composite ranking of the player.

BEN BALES

CLASS: 2018

POSITION: Pro-Style QB

HT, WT: 6 foot 2.5, and 215 lbs

SCHOOL: North Forsyth High School

CITY, STATE: Cumming, GA

STATUS: Undeclared

UGA OFFER: No.

# OFFERS: N/A

NEWS & NOTES: Ben played in 10 regular season games last season as a junior for North Forsyth and threw for 2,005 yards and 15 touchdowns on 166-0f-294 passing. For him to garner some more attention from FBS programs he will need to work on increasing his accuracy and completion percentage of 56.5% and reduce the number of interceptions from 12. He is off to a good start in 2017, throwing for 735 yards and 9 touchdowns to just 2 interceptions in his first three games against Sequoyah, Johns Creek, and Loganville, and he has upped his completion percentage to 60% on 48-of-80 passing. North Forsyth if off this weekend and will resume action on September 15th on the road in Jasper, GA taking on Pickens County and another talented Peach State QB, Jacob Brumby.

JACOB BRUMBY

POSITION: Pro-Style QB

HT, WT: 6 foot 5, and 203

SCHOOL: Pickens High School

CITY, STATE: Jasper, GA

STATUS: Undeclared

UGA OFFER: No.

# OFFERS: N/A

NEWS & NOTES: Brumby camped and visited UGA back on June 2nd. The Pickens County signal caller is a towering 6 foot 5 QB similar in stature to current Bulldog sophomore Jacob Eason. Brumby moves well for his size, and it will be interesting to see whether or not schools take an interest in him as the season wears on. Pickens defeated Marion last weekend 25-0. Tonight, the Tornadoes travel to Tuscaloosa, AL to take on Holy Spirit Catholic at 7:00 p.m.

JUSTIN FIELDS

CLASS: 2018

POSITION: No. 1 Dual-Threat QB

HT, WT: 6 foot 3, and 221 lbs

SCHOOL: Harrison High School

CITY, STATE: Kennesaw, GA

STATUS: Undeclared

UGA OFFER: Yes, offered on 11/18/2016.

# OFFERS: 41

NEWS & NOTES: Fields was offered by the Georgia staff last November, and he visited UGA on over the summer on June 12th and again on July 14th after de-committing from PSU back on June 6th. It looks like it is down to Auburn, FSU, and Georgia for Fields. He has taken unofficial visits to all three programs over the summer. While I know there have been crystal ball predictions for Fields to FSU since he came off his visit with the ‘Noles on July 20th, I still think the Bulldogs are the team to beat here. The senior Harrison High signal caller has looked the part of the No. 1 QB prospect with his performances against East Paulding and Rome; although, the Wolves did limit what he could do and forced Fields to turn the ball over twice. Last weekend, the Harrison Hoyas hit the road again and dropped a close game to North Cobb, 45-42. That loss dropped the Hoyas to 1-2 on the season. But despite the losses, Fields has still been spectacular on the year, accounting for 14 touchdowns. Harrison will have this weekend off and will be in action again on September 15th when they host River Ridge.
