Emphasis on the More part of kicking it through end zone. There is a 100% chance that the other team won’t score and that your def makes them have to go 75 yards and I’ll take that set of odds every time

  2. RobDawg

Taken out of context the caption could read “fast young fan storms field and takes game ball from head ref”

  3. JessCapel

revtizzy Greg Poole Does Shaq (and his personality) even play/start in Louisville?

Good choices PTC. As anyone following this blog knows by now, I’m a kicking game fanatic. The kicking game is directly responsible for 6 to 8 points per game in overall scoring offense and defense. I want a kicker that is reliable and can put it thru the back of the end zone 80% or more.

  5. Greg Poole

RumRunnerDoogie lol, I hear that Bryant is the guy who is tasked with being the fixer around town for the program. He was an investigator for many years with a local law firm.

  6. PTCDawg

Greg Poole PTCDawg  so they only get maybe 5 weeks of practice? I was thinking it was longer than that. Thanks Greg.

  7. Greg Poole

The kid taking this handoff is the great-great grandson of Wally Butts and the great-great nephew of Dan Magill.

  8. PTCDawg

In considering the players who will be the most important figures in our success or failure next year, I foolishly put whoever is at QB all the down at 4th.

I believe the one person whos performance is most important is Catalina. If he turns out to be really good I think that will mean our entire OL is in good shape, and that is paramount to our winning the games we should win.

Second most important imo is LoCar. Much of the rest of the defense is somewhat predictable, but if LoCar plays like his draft position depends on it, I think that will mean huge things in terms of our D winning us a football game. Potential All-American.

My third spot goes to whoever is the place kicker. There are so often games that come down to making that field goal and our PK is such an unknown, having a trustworthy kicker could matter in a huge way.

  9. RumRunnerDoogie

MMCSDAWG RumRunnerDoogie Greg Poole im going to sneak onto that new platform they built in the club section haha

RumRunnerDoogie MMCSDAWG Greg Poole I renewed mine!   Same sect….   I’m looking for a winner this season!  No more excuses!

  11. RumRunnerDoogie

MMCSDAWG RumRunnerDoogie Greg Poole those season tickets are selling like hot cakes. If bortles can be like last year this team is play offs bound

  12. RumRunnerDoogie

MMCSDAWG RumRunnerDoogie Greg Poole only u will get this but DUVALLLLLL!!

  13. RumRunnerDoogie

  14. RumRunnerDoogie

Bulldawg36 he wont tell u peasants, he always emails me the juicy crootin news #

  15. RumRunnerDoogie

MMCSDAWG RumRunnerDoogie Greg Poole perfect weather to get dem jags in shape 😉

  16. RumRunnerDoogie

time for yall to sit back and enjoy a drink (preferably rum) and just relax

RumRunnerDoogie Greg Poole Nothing but HOT and HUMID here in JAX!  This is Africa heat and humidity.

  18. RumRunnerDoogie

Greg Poole nothing but rain here, my house looks like a island surrounded by all this water

Hobnailboot aka RobG Right…  Any pours all that sh$% on a pulled pork sandwich.  WTH?

  20. Hobnailboot aka RobG

Any barbecue joint that doesn’t offer Brunswick stew as a side should be the first clue that it is going to be terrible

  21. RumRunnerDoogie

BahitsAgain u trying to have me killed i see###.  naw only island i will live on in the pacific is Moloka’i. Radiation sounds fun but cliff diving and rum is better

  22. RumRunnerDoogie

Doc R BahitsAgain Greg Poole funny thing is my football coach thought i never thought i enjoyed football because i never showed emotion on the field. reason was i remember talking to my uncle as a kid saying my favorite touchdown dance was the grenade and he told me his was handing the ball to the ref and act like u have been there before. always stuck with me

  23. Doc R

BahitsAgain Greg Poole that’s just one of the many things I loved about HW34—-never showboated, turned to nearest official and tossed him the ball, and went about his business

  24. BahitsAgain

Richmondawg Greg Poole Imagine what Rochester could have done with that thing.   He could have put the BBs through the drywall!!!!

I am guessing this thing also is illegal on campus.  I think even straws and pens used for spitballs and rubberbands flicked at a fly will put you in violation of the silly no weapons rules.

Only law enforcement and crimals shall have pocket shots, rubber bands and spit ball shooters!

  25. Greg Poole

The photos below are the first batch with my new camera and lens. Finally upgrade to some real pro equipment and the results are pretty good, I think

Greg Poole MMCSDAWG I remember…   I have witnessed it in JAX as well, and we all know how that has turned out!

  27. Richmondawg

Greg Poole this is why my brother and i still  have  no BB gun/slingshot rule in effect at ages 45 and 40.

  28. Greg Poole

MMCSDAWG Don’t know if you guys remember me going on about all the pregame smack talk that UGA player did at the Bama game last year. It was off the chain and, of course, they couldn’t back it up.

  29. RumRunnerDoogie

MMCSDAWG Greg Poole never understood the need to do it, could always tell when someone was new to rugby because they would run the mouth off…and they would learn real quick why putting a unnecessary target on ur back was a very bad thing. especially in rucks haha

  30. BahitsAgain

TtownDawg BahitsAgain It’s been a minute means, it has been a while.  Could be a few days or a few years.

  31. BahitsAgain

MMCSDAWG Greg Poole He, Trinton and the others are going to be the beast – I mean best – line in football in 2017.  I expect TT to go pro at the end of next year, so get it done Dawgs!

  32. BahitsAgain

Greg Poole The new country slang is “seen in a minute”

I laugh at the things I hear come out of my oldest’s mouth now that he has been at the farm school in Tifton.

  33. BahitsAgain

Greg Poole Thank heaven!   I hate the smack talk and the often followed up penalties.

Act like you been there!  Hand the ball to the ref when you score (don’t drop the ball because fools are made when it doesn’t cross the line), don’t jaw off, just focus on what you got to do next.

  34. TtownDawg

Greg Poole  Just another part of the “process” but, imo, it is definitely needed.

Greg Poole Lot of good that smack talking did us in Jax the last two years!  I am all about talk softly and carry a BIG a$$ STICK!

  36. Greg Poole

I took this while CKS was addressing the teams. During his talk he told them he didn’t want to hear any smack . He went on to tell them about people he played with and coached at Bama who never talked smack on the field. I’m thinking that means that UGA will not be doing all of the jawing that has taken place in the past.

Greg Poole I believe Ma-nack is going to be a good one two!  Wouldn’t be surprised if T. Clark isn’t a factor as well later this season and next for sure!

  38. RumRunnerDoogie

TtownDawg RumRunnerDoogie Greg Poole i think he sticks too, these guys love the way pittman coaches

  39. RumRunnerDoogie

Greg Poole RumRunnerDoogie well we know one thing, if hes on kick off hes going to lay out so guys against the gators

  40. RumRunnerDoogie

TtownDawg Greg Poole 17 and solid as of now. kept his hair red since he committed

TtownDawg Greg Poole He says it’s solid, but he is going to take visits!  I don’t blame him.  I believe he sticks!

  42. Greg Poole

RumRunnerDoogie Holyfield is jacked. I am convinced he will contribute from game one.

  43. TtownDawg

Greg Poole  Netori is a ’17 recruit right? Is he still wavering or is his commitment pretty solid?

  44. RumRunnerDoogie

MMCSDAWG Greg Poole holyfield looks rip, cant be surprised with those genes tho

  45. Greg Poole

If you click on these photos you can see (and download if you like) the full-size web version.

  46. RumRunnerDoogie

revtizzy Greg Poole read a article where recruits were saying hes the clown of the group

Greg Poole I love Netori!  That kid is always smiling!   Reading his story a while back I think this kid will be huge get for Pittman and Chaney!

  48. Greg Poole

revtizzy It was really like that. I just asked him if they were working their butts off this summer and he replied, “of course.” Small talk.

  49. revtizzy

Greg Poole Glad to hear that, but it seems like we hear the same thing every year.  The new S&C program is always “better” than the previous one.  We’ll see come September.

Greg Poole MMCSDAWG He is going to be in the rotation early and often IMO and will only get better as the season progresses.

  51. Greg Poole

MMCSDAWG If he can play half as good as his body suggests, UGA fans are in for a treat.

Greg Poole My MAN!   I was Thrilled when we got him and I believe he was the key to the defensive class!  I wanted him much more than D. Brown.  He will have an impact this year for Sure!

  53. Greg Poole

Michail Carter is massive and maybe be the best looking true freshman DL I’ve seen in a ehile.

BahitsAgain  We had one a while back, but I lobbied to get it removed once we switched over to LF….  It was depressing for me to see 130+ days tile kickoff, but we are getting a little closer now, I vote we bring it back when the countdown is at 50!  That is a number I can feel good about! lol###

Greg Poole He’s at even par right now thru 6 holes, one birdie and one bogey!  GATA young man and make some bank!

  56. Greg Poole

MMCSDAWG Yep. Rocker and Pittman are running the linemen camp and Chaney is spending time there.
Kirby is everywhere. He has a golf cart a driver shuttling him between the fields

  57. RumRunnerDoogie

Greg Poole Bleudawg showing his age by reciting a song that came out when most these recruits were about 6 or 7

Greg Poole Bleudawg I like that our ENTIRE staff is active in recruiting and camps!  Kirby’s not going to tolerate a coach that doesn’t really want to recruit…  hello Grantham… I’m talking about You!

  59. Greg Poole

MMCSDAWG I am going to go through my photos in a minute but I’ll be going to Sanford this afternoon for the championship game.

Greg Poole Any updates from the 7v7 Boss???   I heard there is some serious talent in town today!

BahitsAgain dsw61 deltonadawg “The amateurs built the Ark and the professionals built the Titantic”…:)

  62. Bulldawg36

Yea sir my brotha! It’s time for UGA to take unc to the streets of Atlanta and beat em down!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  63. AlphaDawg

DawgDaddy So many Auburn fans out last night wearing Barn football jerseys like they have something to be proud of. lol

  64. TeeHDawg

Morning guys. Terrill Hall, WR/ATH from Decatur, even if we get all our top WR targets, I would find a place for this kid. Watched his film from yesterday and heard that Kirby and company was spending time with him at the camp earlier this week. As a WR, he has reliable hands and runs tough and we’ll after the catch. Not sure on his timed speed but he is a load to bring down. Whoever gets this kid is getting a gem.

  65. dawgmum

Bleudawg Greg Poole I tried to figure it out, too. Nothing like vague comments on Twitter to get a fan’s head spinning.

  66. BahitsAgain

dsw61 deltonadawg great observation dsw.  I am done with NFL coaches who can’t teach and relate to kids just out of high school.

Grantham, then Schotty.  We have seen the failed experiment and it is time we never repeat it.

  67. dsw61

deltonadawg The biggest thing Sony said in the spring that caught my attention was his comment about the coaches taking time to walk through the plays and him understanding the finer points like “where his blocks are coming from”. I almost fell out of my chair when I read that quote. There have also been quotes from offensive players talking about how the coaches on the offensive side of the ball are teaching concepts…IOW they’re teaching the “why”. Tie that in to what Sony said about knowing where his blocks are coming from and you can piece together a scenario at practice where the coaches are telling Sony which gaps he’s most likely to find space to run based on where his blocks are coming from. Which in turn allows him to better visualize how the play is most likely to unfold. It’s the equivalent of him mentally sitting up in the booth watching the play unfold. Pruitt did the same thing with the defense. He taught concepts.

deltonadawg I just hope the offense is more versatile and more explosive!  I know we are young and I expect a freshman to be playing QB, but dangit, I want to see an offense that can score points in a HURRY if needed.  Turnovers are going to happen, whether we play conservatively or not.  I look forward to seeing what Chaney and crew can do with the talent we have on offensive side of the ball.  GATA!

AlphaDawg Greg Poole his Mantra…  “Change the Game” is what likened me to him so much!  Plus he is doing a great job on the recruiting trail.

  70. deltonadawg

AlphaDawg deltonadawg This is what Sony said in the article.  This playbook’s a little bit different, it’s a little more challenging,” Michel said. “Some of the schemes from previous years we could kind of put things together and be like, `I’ve got this on this.’ This year it’s totally different. You’ve got to focus, you’ve got to pay attention even when you’re tired.’”

  71. Bleudawg

deltonadawg Good question that I cant answer, however its my understanding from things I have read that we have excellent “teaching” coaches. Like any subject the perception of difficulty is often dictated by the student. If these guys can “teach” as well as folks say they can, I dont think it will be an issue. I was kind of suprised when I watched a show on Brett Favre the other day. A year or two into his packer stint (yes 4 years of college and 1-2 in the NFL) heasked a teammate what “nickle” meant in coverage….sooo lets sit back and see how the team grasps this new O.

  72. AlphaDawg

deltonadawg Haven’t read the article, but just answering your question, from what I’ve read about Chaney is his known ability of using people where they can make plays. I’ve read he’s very creative which creates headaches because you may never see it all season to prepare.

  73. deltonadawg

So is the offense more complicated this year?

  74. AlphaDawg

Greg Poole Coley is starting to become my favorite position coach. Great recruiter, high energy, and his avi looks like Terminator

  75. Bleudawg

Greg Poole Bleudawg Greg Im still trying to figure out the “clue” in Coleys post.

  76. Bleudawg

Greg Poole “why must I feel like that?…..why must I chase the cat?………nothing but the dawg in me”

    George Clinton.

  77. DawgDaddy

Greg Poole Isn’t  every team a pretender until they actually win the championship?

  78. Greg Poole

I’ll be at the intramural field this morning for the first CKS 7v7 camp and the linemen camp.

  79. DawgDaddy

Congrats to the Lady Sooners for beating the aubies for the women’s softball National Title.  That makes me happy.
