ACK, excuse my literary faux pas! What the heck was I thinking? Bonus points for the John Irving reference. So embarrassing. I blame the wine and the excitement.

  2. Lakedawg

Seems like we have more 4 star players players in Georgia than any year in past, will try look at last few years ratings, but there has got to be 50 4 stars in state. Good yer for new staff to have thT many to pick from.

  3. RumRunnerDoogie

BahitsDawg RumRunnerDoogie DawgDaddy u can already see it happening after that QB this past year just kind of did his own thing with no repercussions then went pro

  4. BahitsDawg

RumRunnerDoogie DawgDaddy OSU will pay a big price, but everyone is short sighted these days.  Championships now!!!!

I hope it happens to them sooner rather than later.

  5. RumRunnerDoogie

DawgDaddy RumRunnerDoogie will probably be the same thing to bring him down there too.

  6. DawgDaddy

RumRunnerDoogie I seem to remember too that he would protect his star players from anything that might hamper their playing time also, so he has no attrition of his top talent.

  7. RumRunnerDoogie

BahitsDawg same thing he did at FL, a good program and a coach who can recruit and win

  8. JaxDawg

Yea they have an excellent chance of landing 6 five stars. They should be the #1 class this year with hopefully us finishing second

  9. RumRunnerDoogie

i know its been said but man these guys really buy into what smart has said and already act like they are teammates

  10. RumRunnerDoogie

for those  who havent seen it, here is Carter’s actual announcement followed by a literal dawg pile https://twitter.com/BleacherReport/status/752280889304895492

  11. 66DAWGnNC

2 top recruits within a few hours. Sleep well tonight DAWGS. More to come. Sit back and enjoy the ride. The best is yet to come.

  12. RumRunnerDoogie

Score Check crazydawg87 maybe, he will most likely have more chances to go to UGA than michigan come the season

  13. PTCDawg

101 people listening…at 945p…on a Sunday night. Thats a bunch of people hanging around waiting to see what Greg is going to say next!!!

  14. PTCDawg

Score Check i think we have a really, really good chance of passing OSU by the time its all over.

  15. Avon Barksdale

Swift, Isaiah Wilson, Holloman – O
    McBride, Stevens, Solomon – D
(But I’d settle for Webb, Gibbs, Herring, Britt, Terrell, Jamyest, Big Cat, Grant too)

  16. Score Check

    crazydawg87
I think so … Because Smart & Co. will most likely keep recruiting him until Signing Day.

  17. PTCDawg

BahitsDawg with the same number of recruits we are ahead in both total score AND in average player rating, which I think is even more important. Wonder if this is a first for Georgia this late in the recruiting cycle since Saban arrived.

  18. 1mandawgpack

With Trey, Richard and several others who are very vocal, he likely doesn’t have much of an opportunity

  19. RumRunnerDoogie

1mandawgpack yea they seem to of know eachother forever..i credit a lot of that to lecounte

  20. 1mandawgpack

The thing that I like about these committed kids is how close they are as they are more of a “team”than a “class”

  21. RumRunnerDoogie

DawgByte kirby day is coming up too, idk what its officially called but thats what im calling it

  22. RumRunnerDoogie

DawgDaddy RumRunnerDoogie i think its easy to say, thomas is a man of few…very few words

  23. Bansai buckeroo

They are afraid we will change the channel after the announcement…..they are right.. 🙂

  24. Avon Barksdale

Does ESPN realize that they are delaying my binge-watching of Game of Thrones?!?!

  25. Greg Poole

RumRunnerDoogie Bansai buckeroo  Nike must have warned the players after this afternoon

  26. RumRunnerDoogie

Bansai buckeroo u would figured at least one person in the stands would of by now

  27. Bulldawg36

It’s already 9oclock!!!! It’s close to my bed time!! I’m not gonna stay up all night!!!!

  28. RumRunnerDoogie

DawgDaddy RumRunnerDoogie i wouldnt object to having mcbride and britt in the middle

  29. RumRunnerDoogie

RobDawg well he did say he would knock fromm’s head off lol. and that he would only get 299

  30. PTCDawg

Just to re-emphasize how awesome this class could be…’assuming’ we get Thomas tonight, here are the composite ratings of what I consider to be our major remaining targets, that we have some reasonable confidence factor with:

    D’Andre Swift: 98
    Jeremiah Holloman: 92
    Mark Webb: 92
    Tony Gray: 95
    Malik Herring: 95
    Mate McBride: 96
    Markaviest Bryant: 92
    Aubrey Solomon: 95
    AJ Terrell: 95
    Jacoby Stevens: 99
    DeAngelo Gibbs: 99

(yes, I realize I am cheating a little with Solomon but Greg said it was okay. :>)

  31. RumRunnerDoogie

Bearbuddy cant agree against that, tho that bama commit looked good yesterday

  32. RobDawg

I’ve seen a few videos where he is hanging out with the Dawgs commits and they are even chiding him to get out of the pictures because he is “uncommitted”. The pressure is on. I want Fromm to get 350 passing and also Herring to make several tackles in that game.

  33. RumRunnerDoogie

DawgDaddy RumRunnerDoogie yea watching the carter video he was in the background the whole time

  34. DawgDaddy

RumRunnerDoogie I agree, Jake Fromm is working him hard according to that tweet below.

  35. RumRunnerDoogie

    hes a must get  https://twitter.com/DonJamesSports/status/752233942502158336

  36. RumRunnerDoogie

Greg Poole so thats what they were talking about in that video about 300 yards

  37. 1mandawgpack

It was live earlier today but will be tape delay when aired on ESPN tonight which was why Rudi posted his comment earlier today.

  38. Richmondawg

How many years did we play Ole Missy on the regular? Went to the game in Oxford in 82 I think…was the miserable year we lived in Jackson…

  39. Greg Poole

Richmondawg  It may come up, but it ain’t happening, IMHO. I think divisions go away eventually.

  40. Richmondawg

Anyone think the Auburn to the east comes up at media days? Those Auburn/Tenn Auburn/Fla games were pretty good. And we could Ole Missy back on the schedule as our cross division rival

  41. Bulldawg36

Not me… I don’t watch other teams…especially two teams that make me physically sick

  42. PTCDawg

RumRunnerDoogie PTCDawg DawgByte Greg Poole havent seen how ESPN does it, turns out its 247 i was thinking of. They do 98 and up to give 5 stars for their own rankings but its the composite where they do the top 32.

  43. PTCDawg

DawgByte Greg Poole ok, I stand corrected. Someone does the 98 and up for 5* but it isnt Rivals. or Scout.

Interestingly, Beal is all the way down at #70 on Rivals (Cam Akers is also 4*), and is below Netori, Fromm, and William Poole among others. But Nate McBride has his 5th star there as does AJ Terrell who shows up at #8 in the nation.

  44. Brooklyndawg

Greg Poole 247 composite has us at #3, with OSU #1, followed by Gumps. I like that better!!!!

  45. RumRunnerDoogie

rugbydawg79 Hobnailboot aka RobG RumRunnerDoogie Greg Poole the life of a flanker

  46. PTCDawg

DawgByte Greg Poole I think Rivals only gives 5* to ratings of 98 and up, and they only have 16 of those. The 247 composite has 5* rating on the top 32 and Beal is 30.

Beal, LeCounte and Jacoby Stevens all have 97 ratings on Rival.

  47. rugbydawg79

Hobnailboot aka RobG RumRunnerDoogie Greg Poole He played Rugby – he has been hit in the head a few times

  48. DawgByte

Congrats to the Dawgs for picking up a huge RB commit!!! This class is a M-O-N-S-T-E-R and Carter was my #1 pick at RB.

  49. RumRunnerDoogie

Hobnailboot aka RobG RumRunnerDoogie Greg Poole oops. tend to not look at captions

  50. Hobnailboot aka RobG

RumRunnerDoogie Greg Poole Are your eyes going bad, it says Rivals in the post..##

  51. RumRunnerDoogie

Doc R RobDawg anytime i hear its a old person thing for some reason i instantly think its about Sgt. Shultz. no idea why

  52. Score Check

I saw a “commitment video” below for Carter.  He was surrounded by UGA Commits at the opening.
Is this the same video he was planning on releasing on Friday or is there another one I just haven’t seen yet?

  53. Doc R

RobDawg well there seems to be a lot of love  with these guys committing, so I figure Love will keep them together, ha

  54. Lucas Rogers

Avon Barksdale Maybe. It really depends on how he develops. Has length, athleticism and everything for LT, just needs to work on technique and everything

  55. RumRunnerDoogie

well we have a bit to wait for thomas, i think it was a dawgnation article i just read that he says he plan is to do it live

  56. RumRunnerDoogie

Avon Barksdale yea hopefully the days of  good RBs making a average OL look good are over and we can just have both being good

  57. RumRunnerDoogie

Lucas Rogers RumRunnerDoogie yea i guess they are running drills when all the dawg commits are with eachother goofing off

  58. 1mandawgpack

Ok thanks as it’s hard to keep up with all of these guys . I know that Stevens decided to not attend the regional camps as I remember seeing it in an article.

  59. 1mandawgpack

He’s committed and the big boys don’t get a lot of love from the camera. Those 2 things virtually ensured that he would get no attention while he’s there, unless he happened to be matched up against one of the highly rated uncommitted DL.

  60. RumRunnerDoogie

well i think D’Antne Demery got lost because hes there but havent even as much of seen a picture of him there lol

  61. Avon Barksdale

Just at first glance, Carter seems like he’s got the frame to put on a solid 15-20 pounds once our S&C gets its hands on him. Really pumped about this addition!

  62. 1mandawgpack

Some of these players don’t have the time and/or money to participate in the numerous regional camps, which is a requirement to receive an invitation. Beal and Stevens also aren’t there despite both being rated as a 5 star prospect.

  63. RumRunnerDoogie

1mandawgpack i think carter can put on more weight tho. kamara is more of a slot/3rd down back

  64. DawgDaddy

1mandawgpack Kamara not so popular, his talent though is undeniable.

He strung us along not once but twice.  I really have no emotion toward him at all.

  65. RumRunnerDoogie

rugbydawg79 RumRunnerDoogie 1mandawgpack hmm cant find his SPARQ but i doubt he runs a 4.29 haha

  66. BahitsDawg

1mandawgpack Kamara is a good back.  Tennessee is fortunate to have scooped him up.

  67. 1mandawgpack

This won’t be popular on this site, but he reminds me a lot of Alvin Kamara when he was at Norcross.

  68. RumRunnerDoogie

was netori not invited? figured he would of been since hes highly regarded as one of the best guards in the country

  69. rugbydawg79

    RumRunnerDoogie rugbydawg79 1mandawgpack I thought I read he ran a 10.5 100 m — he sure does not get caught

  70. RumRunnerDoogie

from reading the article this kind of surprised me “Carter has a nice blend of speed for his 5 foot 11, 198 lbs frame and becomes the Bulldogs first commit outside of the states of Georgia and Florida.” he sure is locking down the state

  71. RobDawg

He’s smooth like A. Peterson when he breaks open and runs upright like that. Endorse silly in the white road jersey he looks very fluid

  72. 1mandawgpack

He’s a big boy. I know most of that group were DBs, a WR, a QB and a RB, but he dwarfed all of them.

  73. RumRunnerDoogie

rugbydawg79 RumRunnerDoogie 1mandawgpack possible, but better balance and not as fast

  74. BahitsDawg

Greg Poole RobDawg Rest of the class commits next weekend.  EC says put money on it!

  75. RobDawg

That was Richts recruits… This coaching staff isn’t responsible for them. Called the Towers effect

  76. RumRunnerDoogie

RobDawg ehh doubt it. i mean there is a shot someone might commit too but it wouldnt be fun for them not to build up even if chances are really good of a uga commit

  77. BahitsDawg

Lucas Rogers Greg Poole yep, he definitely should have thrown himself down in front of Sony and the rolling ATV.   He slipped on that one.

  78. dawgmum

Lucas Rogers Greg Poole These guys are going to play together well. They’re already a team!

  79. RumRunnerDoogie

Lucas Rogers RumRunnerDoogie Greg Poole herring standing in the back ground, dude just needs to pull the trigger lol. hes been with this group all week it seems

  80. RumRunnerDoogie

1mandawgpack im trying to think of a RB he reminds me of i just cant come up with one at the moment

  81. 1mandawgpack

I’m super excited about Carter and believe that he has the potential to be our best RB in this class even if we are fortunate enough to also sign Swift or Akers. He’s super smooth and just seems to glide when he has the ball in his hands.

  82. RumRunnerDoogie

DawgDaddy RumRunnerDoogie IIRC they are from oregon and drove up to watch Eason play

  83. RumRunnerDoogie

    ohh radi..u so silly https://twitter.com/RadiNabulsi/status/752212495855656965

  84. Avon Barksdale

My dog is scared to death of rain but could care less about the vacuum cleaner

  85. BahitsDawg

RumRunnerDoogie PTCDawg man, I am glad I remember this is about dogs and vacuum cleaners before commenting.

  86. RumRunnerDoogie

Lucas Rogers Greg Poole 1mandawgpack 36 probably scared him away from commenting..or hes too busy on tinder#

  87. Greg Poole

Greg Poole He will when he gets back to Athens. He will be working fall camp with me – entering Grady this fall.

  88. BahitsDawg

Lucas Rogers Greg Poole 1mandawgpack He does, but it is so fast that nobody sees it.

    Flash.

  89. RumRunnerDoogie

Lucas Rogers RumRunnerDoogie 1mandawgpack is that his dad next to him in the picture?

  90. BahitsDawg

1mandawgpack lol.  Yeah, in the old days when people cared about typing speed, he could have easily gotten a secretary job.

  91. Greg Poole

    1mandawgpack  Yeah, Michael is really quick, but that’s what one expects from interns these days. ;-}

  92. Lucas Rogers

RumRunnerDoogie 1mandawgpack tweet below has mics and everything so, yeah I’d say so

  93. Hobnailboot aka RobG

RumRunnerDoogie Hobnailboot aka RobG Lucas Rogers I agree, but why tweet out that do what’s right and then do the opposite

  94. 1mandawgpack

That was only relating to the kids who committed in front of the ESPN cameras that will be aired via a tape delay tonight. Obviously Carter committed in a different format.

  95. RumRunnerDoogie

Hobnailboot aka RobG Lucas Rogers well in his defense hes not jumping the gun from what a recruit wants but instead what ESPN wants

  96. Hobnailboot aka RobG

PTCDawg it doesn’t really bother my dog unless it gets about 2 feet from him while it’s running

  97. 1mandawgpack

I didn’t infer that he’s ready for an alcoholics ananymous program but he clearly has a problem acting in a responsible manner when he consumes alcohol. Just so that it’s clear that this is my opinion and not me trying to speak for others, being arrested twice in 4 months is much more severe than making stupid decisions, particularly when you get behind the wheel of a car intoxicated. If he was my child, I would clearly believe that he has an alcohol problem and I can assure you that the least of his worries would be the potential consequences from the UGA football coach or program.

  98. PTCDawg

Slightly off topic but…does EVERY dog above a certain size hate the vacuum cleaner or does it vary from one dog to the next? Its kinda funny to watch her go ballistic every time its turned on, just curious if its an ingrained dog trait.

  99. DawgByte

Greg Poole We need that kid… must get. Can’t afford to let that talent go out of state.

  100. DawgByte

Greg Poole Looks like we’re in the #2 slot behind Clemson. If Tucker wants him he’s going to have to work hard to get him.

  101. Greg Poole

    How to watch The Opening
    TV: ESPNU
    Time: 8 p.m. ET
    Stream: http://ift.tt/1S6BxW9

  102. PTCDawg

1mandawgpack Making stupid decisions at 18 is not the same thing as ‘having an alcohol problem’. He may or he may not, I am just saying we dont have that information.

  103. 1mandawgpack

He’s been arrested twice in 4 months on alcohol-related charges, so yes, there’s adequate information to determine that he has a problem responsibly dealing with the consumption of alcohol, particularly when he gets behind the wheel of an automobile and jeopardizes the safety of other people.

  104. Avon Barksdale

Getting more and more pumped about LeCounte! Seems to really have a knack to make big plays on the ball!

  105. JessCapel

Greg Poole I do have to admire the cameraman for choosing the hard right (getting the shot) vice the easy wrong (helping a bro out) so we have an idiot to laugh at.

  106. Bulldawg36

Somebody should ask chip..what kind of beer did Kirby buy for Ledbetter!!!!! Hahahahahaha

  107. PTCDawg

Also, I could be wrong but I don’t think we have the information to be able to conclude that Ledbetter has an alcohol ‘problem’, serious or otherwise.

  108. PTCDawg

Responding to two questions/comments below. Its been stated that Carter and Thomas will be recording their commitments sometime today but they will not be broadcast until sometime between 8 and 11 on ESPNU.

Also, as far as earning a 5th star, if you are referring to the 247 composite, which is what I think most people use when they talk about a ‘consensus 5 star prospect’, keep in mind that there is no ‘awarding’ of stars, it is simply the highest 32 rated players based on the composite ratings of the various services. Gibbs is currently at 34, so if some service raises his rating enough to move him up 2 spots in the composite, by definition he now has 5 stars. OR, they could even drop the 32 and 33 players and he gets a 5th star without a raise in his rating at all.

Having said that, Gibbs is 34, LeCounte is 37, Fromm is 41 and Thomas is 49. Beal is 30 and Swift 31 so they would be in danger of losing the 5th star.

  109. PTCDawg

Avon Barksdale Agreed Avon. While I don’t think there is such a thing as a must get, I agree that AT is the most important recruit of all. This is because I think the OL is THE key to getting us to the next level, and the assumption that Salyer will follow Thomas. Getting a world class OT and the #1 G in the nation would go a long way to Georgia having a dominant OL.

  110. 1mandawgpack

Without knowing the young man, it appears that Ledbetter has an issue with alcohol and needs some help.  I actually applaud that our program holds these young men accountable for their actions, but I hope that we try to get him help before dismissing him from the team. If that is, in fact, the course of action that we take, Ledbetter will be walking a thin line for a while.

I agree that Chip went way over the line on his article.  I think what he’s trying to say, very poorly, is that it’s time for players to realize that football season is around the corner and it’s time to start focusing on those things that are going to help us win games.  As an example, I was the only one in my group of friends who played football and basketball in HS and even though most of them drank and partied every weekend, I really didn’t do so until the off-season as I knew the price I’d have to pay at practice for some bad decisions.  I agree with someone’s comment below that if Ledbetter has a serious alcohol problem, he’s likely not focused on the well-being of the team.  However, I do think it’s time for some of the leaders on the team to step up and put an end to some of this nonsense as it’s becoming a distraction to the team.  Camp can’t get here fast enough for me as keeping these guys occupied with football activities will decrease the time that they can find trouble.

  111. Bulldawg36

It’s not kirby’s fault that Ledbetter likes to drink. He didn’t tell Ledbetter to drive drunk behind the wheel. No coach can stop a player from drinking if that’s what he really wants to do.

  112. RobDawg

Yeah one of the throws to the front pylon was perfect and no one but WR could have touched it

  113. 1mandawgpack

Hobnailboot aka RobG  Other than the 2 expected for today, I don’t expect CKS to do anything as he knows that with the 2 commitments we’ve already gotten in July and the 2 additional that we’re supposed to get today, there is plenty of momentum to offset this unfortunate misstep by Ledbetter.

  114. 1mandawgpack

RobDawg  He’s been being recruited since the 7th or 8th grade by some big-time programs, so I can’t imagine that so many of these coaches who are paid big bucks to evaluate and develop talent would all miss that bad on the young man.  Also, while I imagine that HS runs over every team in Las Vegas, it plays a lot of the big time schools out of California (I watched them demolish the No. 1 team in the nation last year from somewhere in California), so they don’t shy away from other competition.
What I can say emphatically is that I’m thrilled to have Jake from State Fromm on our team as he’s a fine young man, a natural leader, and a winner.  It looked like he was just flicking his wrist last night and he was throwing BBs to WR 20 to 30 yards downfield.  While the announcers gave him a lot of love, I thought they were actually harsh on a couple of TD throws giving more credit to the WR than the throw.  Those balls were perfectly placed where on the WR could make a play and there was no threat for the DB making a play.  Honestly, it’s pretty amazing what he’s doing as he has spent most of the last 4 or 5 months concentrating almost exclusively on baseball and helping his team with the state championship.

  115. 1mandawgpack

BroDawg  I agree that Martell looked really, really bad last night.  However, this 7 v 7 format likely doesn’t fit his skillset well as I believe he’s a dual threat QB and his ability to run is likely what helps his passing game tremendously.  When this format neutralizes the run threat and it’s all about arm strength, accuracy and decision making, it’s naturally going to play to the type of QB we tend to want in a pro-style offense.  I’m not making excuses for the young man, but I personally don’t think that these all-star camps are the be-all, end-all with respect to a young man’s ability to be a stud football player.  He’s undefeated as a QB at Bishop Gorman high school in Las Vegas and that school doesn’t shy away from playing big-time games, and surprising to me, he’s also undefeated as a QB in his Bishop Gorman 7 v 7 team, which may have more to do with his teammates than his performance.  That said, a QB who has never been beaten is doing something right for sure.

  116. RobDawg

Yeah Towers climbed way up on top of his high horse on this article. I found several of his comments to be ridiculous and sensational. Why try to pin the actions of these guys on whichever coach recruited them or is currently their head coach. That doesn’t mean a hill of beans to how players conduct their lives and make choices.

  117. DawgDaddy

DawgByte Bulldawg36 Me too, it was so much fun to watch Spurrier go out a loser against UGA.

  118. 66DAWGnNC

With that logic then I suppose when a non-athlete student is arrested they disrespect the University President, Professor, or___?

  119. Avon Barksdale

Andrew Thomas has been my #1 ‘must get’ prospect in this class. Super fired up to lock down his services for the next four years!!!

  120. Bansai buckeroo

Chip is wrong on this one… This is on Ledbetter….I’m not sure he even has a problem other than poor decision making….but again, I don’t know the kid….

  121. Hobnailboot aka RobG

If there are any silent commits right now does Kirby encourage them to make it public given this mornings negative press, Thomas excluded

  122. Hobnailboot aka RobG

DawgByte Greg Poole If I was Kirby I’d have BM yank any credentials from him

  123. DawgByte

Greg Poole “As it is, all these arrests say something about the discipline of the Georgia football team. But, to me, it’s says more about the football team’s attitude toward the young head coach.”

What Chip doesn’t realize is, when you have an alcohol problem nobody else matters. Ledbetter’s problem has nothing to do with Kirby. You can’t baby sit this kids 24/7. Ledbetter has to take control of his own life, which has nothing to do with program discipline. Chip is way out of bounds!!!

  124. BroDawg

I agree… he is another that could earn the 5th star.. I agree with @Rum below too..We don’t know what we don’t see. I know from what I saw with Tate Martell he looked a little like a deer in headlights with the speed he was seeing. Add pressure to the mix and who knows.

  125. rugbydawg79

How long has Ledbetters older brother been gone ? The one who started out as a basketball player, seems we brought him on to help get Jonathon, just wondering if this is a factor-big brother might have helped him – I agree Greg Chip is off base with this.

  126. RumRunnerDoogie

BroDawg kind of hard to say since they only show the games and not all the other things they do.  We will just have to wait for all the writers there to do write ups, i wonder if any UGA site writers are out there

  127. DawgByte

BroDawg How about Thomas? If he shows up big at the opening, why wouldn’t he get a 5th star. He’s ranked as the best OL in the state of Georgia. That ain’t chopped liver.

  128. Greg Poole

This is just wrong. Chip apparently thinks that multiple alcohol incidents suggest disrespect rather than an alcohol problem. Here is the point – if he was caught twice, he probably offended many moe times. The kid has a substance problem and turning it into a Kirby issue is just wrong.

  129. BroDawg

At the conclusion of the Opening what are the chances we see JF and RL earning that 5th star? I think RL is already listed as a 5 star by some… but does the Opening solidify his ranking across the board? Any other falls or rises that could impact recruiting rankings?

  130. Bansai buckeroo

BA….I think a lot of young people abuse alcohol…. I know I did. I’m willing to give him the benefit of the doubt and hope that Kirby can make him see the light….

  131. BahitsDawg

Bansai buckeroo The young man definitely has an alcohol issue going on.  That can be fixed with many people.

I hope he says and does the right things and shows remorse.  I think his reaction to being busted will determine if Kirby keeps him.

  132. RumRunnerDoogie

rugbydawg79 RumRunnerDoogie Bansai buckeroo think its universal with the branches since ive heard about every branch use it

  133. Lucas Rogers

DawgByte Lucas Rogers Greg Poole probably 4. The first charge was dropped so it’ll be interesting

  134. Bulldawg36

2006 we beat em 18-0 in Columbia. It was still a struggle but a pretty good win. 1992 was the last time we really hammered em in cola. It was 28-6. Hope we put a whipping on them like we did that year.

  135. DawgByte

Greg Poole Since this is his second offense in 4 months he’ll probably be dismissed from the team.

  136. DawgByte

Bulldawg36 I watched it too. Offense was clicking on all cylinders. Great playing calling… hope that is the norm for Chaney. We really kept SC off balance.

  137. Bulldawg36

I did end up watching the UGA vs sc game yesterday!!! 52-20!!!!! Heck yeah baby!!! It’s the 6th time I’ve watched it!!!!

  138. Bulldawg36

Heck we struggled with em before spurrier was there. Remember the 2000.. 2002….2004 games. We won two of the three. But they were struggles.

  139. rugbydawg79

RumRunnerDoogie rugbydawg79 Bansai buckeroo maybe you – sounds like Air Force talk !!!!

  140. Bulldawg36

I thnk if we can limit Dobbs rushing yards then we will win. He’s still their best rusher IMO. Got stop him on 3rd downs…can’t let him pick up ist downs using his feet. If we can’t contain him then it will probably go like last year did. Limit Dobbs rushing yards and we got a good chance at winning at home as long as we don’t shoot ouselves in the foot

  141. rugbydawg79

Bansai buckeroo were you in the Army ?   Always called First Sergeant Top !  I reckon that fits Greg pretty well.

  142. Bulldawg36

I know right? Time to beat those lizards!!! Just the sight of those gator uniforms makes me want to vomit

  143. Bulldawg36

We have won a lot of games in Columbia but most of em have been nail biters. Plus we have lost the last three games there. 35 points were the most points we scored in Columbia in 20 years the last time we played there and still lost. Just think it will be tough because it will be right after a brutal war with the vols. Unless the chickens are worse or the same as last year. I hope we blow em out. But based on history of the game. We probably won’t. It’s all about the W anyways

  144. Greg Poole

Bulldawg36 No it doesn’t – that just an old wives tale.  We invent the similarities.

  145. Bulldawg36

It doesn’t matter which game is the easiest or hardest!!!!!!!! I want UGA to win em all!!! Why not us!!!!!!!!!!

  146. Bulldawg36

I know. But it will be new to the players. Who ever is our qb will have too have one heck of a game to win there

  147. RumRunnerDoogie

Bulldawg36 the majority of our coaches have been there before, wont be anything new to them

  148. RumRunnerDoogie

and martell looks really bad..i guess being on the only team in NV with athletes hes not used to good defenses

  149. Bulldawg36

I just think road games are always tougher on a first years coaches. Especially sec road games.

  150. RumRunnerDoogie

watching the opening its kind of funny seeing them running around in scrum caps which are meant for rugby

  151. Bulldawg36

I do hate em badly. Just basing it on recent history of how we have played there. Lord only knows why we struggle in that cess pool Staduim

  152. RumRunnerDoogie

Bulldawg36 it wont be easy but they lost everyone outside of kelly. tenn still has pretty much everyone

  153. Bulldawg36

Ole miss is a road game. A place we haven’t been in a while. It’s gone be rough!!!!!

  154. rugbydawg79

Bulldawg36 I know you hate those chickens 36 but you might be giving them to much credit !!!!!!!

  155. Bulldawg36

Nope. I like our chances at home vs the vowels. We’ve haven’t played well in Columbia in a while and it’s right after a brutal war with the vols!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  156. Bansai buckeroo

Ahhh…ok Top…sometimes I skim these articles and missed that…..thought that was a little quick for Kirby to make a decision…

  157. Lucas Rogers

Greg Poole Lucas Rogers Yeah i know lol. Forgot to send my nightly text to the team saying don’t drink and drive

  158. Bulldawg36

Here is my hardest to easiest games on the schedule!!!!!!
    1. Fla
    2.ole miss
    3. SC
    4. Tennessee
    5.mizzou
    6. Auburn
    7. Unc
    8. Kentucky
    9 vandy
    10. Tech
    11. Lafayette
    12. Nicholls state

  159. Greg Poole

rugbydawg79 Can’t give up on the kid, he needs to get help with an obvious alcohol problem – not judging, just want to see him get better.

  160. RumRunnerDoogie

Reddawg13 RumRunnerDoogie Avon Barksdale i dont really look too much into these glorified skeleton drills but he does seem to be able to put touch on his passes

  161. Score Check

I think there is a 50/50 chance Smart kicks Ledbetter off the team.
New Coach coming in stressing doing things the Georgia way.
FYI: Saban kicked off a bunch of bama players off the team in his first year for not doing things the “bama” way.

  162. Reddawg13

RumRunnerDoogie Reddawg13 Avon Barksdale Yep, may not have Tebow’s running ability but far better at passing and reading the defense. Is athletic enough to extend the play though.

  163. Red Dawn

Good call there 36. I was trying to think of anyone that turned it around after 2 arrest. Hopefully his parents will take his vehicle away too to minimize the risk.

  164. RumRunnerDoogie

Reddawg13 Avon Barksdale he kind of has a tebow build to him (not comparing the running abilities tho)

  165. Greg Poole

Bansai buckeroo  I got the impression from Kirby that he might skate a suspension since the charges were dropped on the original arrest. The ESPN article was from that incident.

We’ll see but Ledbetter didn’t help himself with the repeat offense and a DUI on top of it.

  166. JaxDawg

I hope so, we really need him to play this year. With UGAs strict policy, this could be 4 games

  167. Reddawg13

Avon Barksdale Fromm is the real deal. He has been a winner since an early age. He is going to push Eason hard!

  168. rugbydawg79

Greg Poole Red Dawn so sad after seeing the joy in his face at Camp Sunshine I really thought he was ready for a breakout year – perhaps he can stil get things turned around-I made pl;enty of mistakes myself – I see 36 had similar thought !!!!!

  169. Bulldawg36

Hopefully Ledbetter will shape up like Alec Ogletree did. Alec had one foot out the door as well. But turned it around.

  170. PatriotVeteran

JaxDawg A sick joke.    Young man has a problem and making it a joke is not what’s best for UGA and his teammates.

  171. Red Dawn

So is Ledbetter up to a seven game suspension or four? 1 +3 or 1 + 6?. My personal opinion is send him packing because rarely do double arrestees ever contribute or recover in Athens. Move Kendall Baker to DE and mine the JUCO ranks in this class

  172. RumRunnerDoogie

JaxDawg well its oregon so probably not waiting for brisquits and gravy for breakfast

  173. RumRunnerDoogie

JaxDawg that video is hilarious. At the FD when someone would just go against the plan we called them a leroy

  174. JaxDawg

LOL!!!! That one too!! Whenever my friends messed up or said something stupid I just called them a Leroy

  175. RumRunnerDoogie

tmdawg12 i think its time for u to set up a practice across the street from Butts-Mehre

  176. Bulldawg36

Ledbetter is so talented too. I just can’t believe these guys mess it up before they even get started. Ledbetter needs to come in and knock a qb on his tail. So he will realise that cfb is bigger than his urge to drink!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  177. DawgLink

Some people can’t learn from mistakes. The answer is definitely not to keep on making more. SMDH

  178. Bulldawg36

Our depth on DL is getting thinner and thinner. It maybe hard for UGA to stop the run this year. U0001f621

  179. dsw61

As a apparent of a 20 year old who drives; I don’t have a lot of tolerance for people who drive under the influence. Not impressed with Ledbetter’s judgement. Some of these kids just can’t stay out of trouble.

  180. Bulldawg36

Well Ledbetter has one foot out the door now. Clay and rivers are already gone. Man we really needed Ledbetter to step this year. Some of these players just can’t stay out of throuble. I just hope Rochester has learned his lesson

  181. RumRunnerDoogie

Greg Poole well hes obviously thick headed, sitting against a good team and not a cupcake might make a better statement to him but who knows

  182. Greg Poole

He is going to lose time for that DUI. Let’s hope Kirby will do it the second game.

  183. Hobnailboot aka RobG

Greg Poole Hobnailboot aka RobG and if Kirby treats this like the Clay situation, He gone

  184. Hobnailboot aka RobG

Greg Poole bet he will be in the doghouse in the worst of ways now, he will not enjoy practice this summer one bit

  185. Greg Poole

Two of the jersey number supplied by UGA for incoming players a couple of days ago were wrong: Laguins is actually 25 and Simmons is 3.

  186. RumRunnerDoogie

Hobnailboot aka RobG RumRunnerDoogie 70 lb pit doing it wasnt that fun, think she popped a kidney in me

  187. Bansai buckeroo

Good Morning Folks…man Fromm looked good yesterday…Eason will be looking over his shoulder with this kid…

  188. DawgLink

This is the best quote for me from Ignot,
“I’d love to play with all of them. That sticks in the back of my mind. Savages want to play with savages.”
    Get him Kirby
